Bringing out the big guns early today huh? -Mh when he came downstairs and saw the tv was on.
Why yes I am because the toddler was pitching an epic tantrum and wouldn't get off my lap and the baby was screaming to be fed and I hadn't had my coffee yet and oh, I'm still sick! While you were taking a luxurious hot shower without interruptions from crying children or a toddler banging on the door. Must be nice.
I have a head cold and a rough scratchy throat. B had an unusually early bedtime yesterday and so was up every hour starting at 2am because he apparently wasn't tired anymore. DH took off early to go to a job site instead of taking pity on me. He did cancel an appointment this afternoon so he could do daycare pickup though so I've spared him my rage, but it was close.
I'll share my come at me bro gifs with you ellabee! This cold is the worst. I'm still kind of stuffy and gave a lingering cough. Mh is the only one in the house that hasn't caught it yet so I'm just jealous.

I'm tired since 4am I've been listening to E grunting. I fed her around 6ish. I'm up pumping but planning to go back to sleep for a bit. I'm ignoring the cats for now too.
I was hoping for another hour of sleep. I even tried telepathically willing C to fall back asleep when she started making noise this morning. Didn't work.
According to my app, yesterday's cluster feedings added 3+ hours to our usual time nursing. I'm hoping that's not the same case today. I need a shower and have things to do, or even need a nap myself. Please nap kid.
Ugh @lakemom I hope you're feeling better soon. peaseblossom55 it is grunt city here too. The worst when they're sleeping and you can't!
So DS1's fever went back up to 103 yesterday so no daycare for him. He seems to be feeling better though. Sleep seems to be a crapshoot after our first stretch. L was up every hour after and grunting in between
I did too many chores instead of napping yesterday. Today, i shall mostly couch sit.
How was your first day at the gym??
It was great! Incredibly humbling. Moved a little slow. Used super light weights. Stopped frequently during a timed workout to rock/swing A's car carrier.
But it felt good to be back and the coach and other member were so encouraging... And tolerant of baby screams

DD gave us her best stretches yet...two 3 hour stretches. I'm still freaking exhausted. It takes me until noon everyday to "wake up." I think nursing is literally sucking the life out of me (see post in nursing thread about nausea).
My mom has been driving DS to nursery school 3 mornings a week at 9am. That way I only have to get there for his 11:30am pick up. It's soooooo helpful, but I have major mom guilt. Like, I should be able to handle this on my own.

This is so awesome. What type of workout do you do? I'm dying to get back to the gym, but waiting for dr to give the ok after my c section.

lakegirl F that. Screen time is a must with a toddler and a newborn. At least in this house it is. Sometimes mommy just needs everyone to be sitting relatively still and happy for 10 min...or she'll lose her shit.
DS has gotten into these weird toy videos on his iPad. Mind you, I don't even know how he got to YouTube because all I ever showed him was the educational apps I purchased where he learned shit. Apparently he's some 2.5 year old tech wiz surfing the internet, ha. Anyway, I hate that he's watching that mindless crap and not using the apps, but also, he sits so nicely. I even got him dressed without wrestling him at all!I've just been setting a timer and when the timer goes off, he hands over the iPad .
DH has had a few comments, but then I just give him death glares and he backs off.

weeklyplanner, I do CrossFit. I'm a super average athlete. I've been doing CF for about 6 years. Through both of my pregnancies (modifying lots of movements).
Getting back into this time is scarier than last, because I'm bringing baby with me to the gym for the balance of maternity leave. So, I can't focus 100% on the workout OR 100% on A.
I never took DD1 to the gym, she stayed with Dad. But it's not fair to stick my H with both girls while I work out right now, when I'm not even ready to spend too much time solo parenting both just yet!
Plus, if A gets used to the gym while I'm on leave, and I keep taking her just once a week on weekends after I go back to work, she might be a good spectator through toddlerhood. My 2yo, because she's not used to the gym, would be a freaking Tasmanian devil in my gym right now!
That evolved into a diary entry.
Definitely go eeeeasy on yourself as you get back into it. I can't believe how quickly I was winded and wiped out! And how heavy the lightest of weights felt!

DD1 has recently (in the past 2 or 3 months) become obsessed with YouTube. She watches some weird shit.
Also, she is way more tech smart than me. She knows that "Stick Man" is on "the white one" (amazon). And that to watch "let it go" I have to "do the red one (YouTube). Open the Add (app)".

I had a feeling it was crossfit the way you described it. DH does CF, well used it. This baby has really ruined our workouts, lol.
And yeah, DS tells me to go to the "dap store" and to get my "money." The other day I told him I didn't have any money for new apps and he brought me his play wallet and handed me the dollar I gave him to play with. So, basically, I've created a monster!

Add my DS1 to the toddler tech genius club. I don't know how he finds the shit he finds on youtube but it allows me to dress, pee alone, and enjoy coffee. And although it occasionally makes me feel guilty, screen time has really helped me survive these last few weeks so... thank you Blaze, truck videos, and Paw Patrol (among many, many others).
Oh and B slept a four hour stretch!!!!!! I hope this means the days of two hour wakes up will soon be behind us.
I am now eating a croissant in the parking lot before my 6 week pp visit. Good times.

lakegirl loving these gifs, not loving YH's dumbass comment. I texted mh at work today to thank him for getting the baby down last night when she was acting crazy. He wrote back no problem, happy to do it. I said good bc I was about to rage on the baby and had to step away. His response...I've got something you can rage on...ugh 🙄

Second stretch was only 2 hours but worth it.
My workout at home yesterday has my legs still feeling like jelly. I think I need to modify it for this first week or two and then do it like it says to. But thank god for yoga so I'm not feeling completely out of it today.

judyblume14, I think so? I remember DS1's spit up being curdled a lot.
To whomever recommended West World,THANK YOU.
My OB said I was cleared for sex but to "take it easy" and not do anything if I'm not "feeling it". Good, because I'm not feeling it. Also, I feel crampy thanks to the iud.

opheliainwaders, Does Netflix have yoga videos? Because that's genius if they do! I just found a couple short things on Pinterest but will probably use YouTube next time. I really want to get into the yoga studio but have no one to watch the littles.
Rage: I just spent 40 mins being transferred and put on hold at our health insurance company to add C to my policy. My only question is how much and what are the differences between the 2 pediatric dental plans. How hard is it to understand that I am both the member AND the group administrator?!
After 5 transfers, I got put to a voicemail to get a call back.
I got the callback and the lady said I need to contact my broker to make that change. That would've been solid advice a week ago when I asked for the form to add her the first time. Or even on my 3rd transfer when I got a group sales person. And I can't even fill out the form without selecting a pediatric dental plan, when I have no idea which one I'd select because I DONT KNOW WHAT THE DIFFERENCES ARE
pibblemom, hope C gives you a break today. That's a lot of cluster feeding!
judyblume14, well done for getting to the gym. I'd hoped to start getting in some longer walks and hikes by now but the broken toe put those plans on hold. My weight loss has therefore stalled at 6lb above pre-pregnancy weight and that makes all the difference in getting back into my normal clothes
Add me to the list of mom's using the tv to entertain DS1. And he can navigate my phone and apps better than I can. He recently found and loves marble races on you tube. Keeps him happy for ages but I do feel bad...
H has been pretty good for a few nights with bedtime 7.30/8ish and just one real wake up sometime between 1 and 3. He then stirs around 4.30 to 6 needing cuddles and his paci. I can live with this though!
I have an exciting day of chores and paperwork ahead. Yay.
