Hanging out with the miss today. Not sure what our plans are. I ned to get some bigger bottles for DD. Now that she has more formula, she's drinking more. Currently she's using standard neck bottles but I wonder if we should move to widemouth since she's bigger.
Day off here, this is my last week of using my unpaid maternity leave since I've been stretching it out going back to work. DS is at daycare, though, so I'm using the time to clean, make lactation cookies for me/vegan coconut scones for my co-workers, and start the taxes. Trying to think of what to make for dinner since I've got the time today. Maybe risotto.

It's a Tuesday that feels like a Monday, so I'm not sure what's worse.
We had a good night sleep wise. N went in at 8 and fell asleep within minutes. G and I dozed in the recliner until almost 9, then he ate and went right in. He woke up at 5:45, and N woke up at 6:20 (while I was in the shower). N is going to school today, so MH will be home with G. We are having chicken and dumplings for dinner. Much excite.
MH is thinking that N is basically done with naps. That makes me irrationally sad. One, that he is old enough to not need a nap anymore, and two, that I lose a couple hours of quiet, since that boy does not stop talking.
It's raining today. 😩 The forecast says it's supposed to clear up and I'm really hoping for that so I can send DS1 outside. A few days of beautiful weather and I'm already spoiled. Get it together Britta. This is MI. Spring is not here yet.
We have no plans, as per usual. Day in and day out. I cannot wait to get back to work. I do need to get diapers, so when H gets home I may leave to make a Sam's run.
smallpotato DD1 stopped napping at 20 months, it was awful. We got her a kids tablet and she gets an hour to rest and play on it in the afternoon. I wouldn't survive without that hour.
I'm at work again finally. Really hope there's no sickness this week with my husband out of town, but not holding my breath. One of the moms from our playdate yesterday texted that her daughter that was holding O threw up this morning, and daycare said they sent home two babies with fevers yesterday.
I am in a better place mentally but just feel drained from the emotional therapy appt yesterday, no DH this week, and the baby waking up ten times a night.
DS1 is going on 2 weeks waking up completely dry in the morning. The majority of the time he wakes up somewhere around 6:30 and pees, but a few times he's gotten up MOTN to do it. How long should I wait to try big boy pants at bedtime?
He's been completely day trained since about June of last year and poop trained (either diaper or potty) since mid-summer last year.
I took dd1 outside for a little bit while dd2 had her morning nap. It's still pretty cold, but we needed the fresh air and sun. Dd2 was up at 1 and 5. Just got a call from my mom. She's gonna come by for a little bit. So happy about that. Dd2 doesn't hate the bumbo. She just doesn't stay up very well in it. Dd1 sits in it more here also. Dd2 doesn't like the bouncy seat anymore and she's getting too big for the sit me up seat. I haven't brought out the exersaucer or jumpy thing yet. So we're at a weird in between phase.

Personally I would err on the side of caution for a while, but my DD1 has been potty trained for a while and will sporadically regress. I guess it just comes down to weighing possibly having to clean up some sheets vs. paying for pullupsl. Don't know if that answer was very helpful.

Booked an appointment with an LC for this afternoon. Want to get DS 's lip tie and latch evaluated. He has such a weak suck. Also need some tips on extending his feeding times.

Haha. Yes and no. Was just curious what others have done.
He can't wear Pull-Ups, they break him out, so he wears Huggies Overnites to bed. He dwants to wear big boy pants to bed so bad, but I'm just not looking forward to the inevitable (?) sheet changing MOTN. I may finish out this box of diapers and then try.

Edit. No, not know.
They have waterproof underwear on amazon. That might contain it. And I bought a waterpoof mattress pad that goes under the sheet.

Oooo. Maybe I'll look into waterproof underwear. I really believe in my heart of hearts that he's probably good to go, but with the baby waking around 4am I'd really rather NOT have another MOTN waking. By anyone.
His mattress pad/protector is waterproof to protect the mattress, but is still have to change sheets.

This is what I have but he does know the difference because they're thicker and doesn't always want to wear them.

britta maybe give it two more weeks? I want to say we waited a month when DS1 did this, just to be sure. He still had accidents every so often but it was VERY rare. We just did the waterproof mattress cover and yes, we had some sheet changes MOTN but overall, it was fine. You have to bite the bullet at some point (as far as potential wake-ups), but I like the idea of the waterproof underwear as well.

Working from home today b/c DS1 is out of school for the whole week. DH had him yesterday (school holiday for everyone and DH is a teacher so it worked out), I have him today, my parents are keeping him tomorrow and Thursday, and then I'll be off Friday and have him home with me again. I'm kind of annoyed they are just off for a whole random week in February. Thankfully we are able to work it out where we don't have to send him to daycare (and save the money), but it's kind of a hassle.

Yes. So true. I guess I mean MOTN wake ups to change sheets. He already gets up and takes himself to the bathroom. MH and I laid in bed and were like, "Did he just take himself to the bathroom?? OMG." He doesn't even speak. Just goes and then gets back in bed.
britta - I'm pretty sure DD may have been a SS, but we never used pull-ups since we started PTing (middle of January?) and we've had 3 night time accidents in that span. We have the waterproof mattress cover (a few of them) so we just change that and the sheets in the MOTN.
At work. Blah. We're heading to NH this weekend for my niece's birthday and all of us are going. It will be H's first flight and DD's second flight (first one at 9 weeks old), but she will either love it or hate it. I'm worried. I'm also worried about going potty on the plane. She goes at restaurants and when we're out, but I'm a bit worried because its an airplane.

DH's birthday is Friday and I have ZERO idea what to get him as a gift. It's not that he's picky or anything either, I just know there isn't much he cares about getting. When I asked him what he wanted, he said for me to buy something "sexy" to wear...that's not happening. I'm not buying something brand new to fit me when I'm overweight and I don't feel sexy at all. So yeah.

Busy work day here.
britta We waited forever to get DS1 into undies at night purely because I wanted to push back MOTN sheet changing for as long as possible.
smallpotato I miss DS1's naps, but glad he will usually do some quiet time alone.
Even though DS2 got shots yesterday and I have him Tylenol at night, sleep was still crap. I think he's trying to combine all the bad sleep things (unswaddled; rolling over and not wanting to roll back; congestion; 4 month regression) into one long, horrible sleep. Will be SO good once he sleeps all night
britta Just got the mail and it's always such a nice surprise to get formula checks from you!! Thank you so much!!!
Girl that $15 one had me about to switch to Similac! LOL. No problem.
jcrewgirl he's been PT for almost a year now, but we've never even attempted night training. He sleeps so soundly and for so long and I was NOT about to be waking a sleeping toddler to pee. He pedi said to leave it be, that boys take much longer to train at night because of a hormone that needs to develop, so that's what we did. And here we are. He's been dry every morning and taking himself to pee MOTN. Good luck with pottying on the plane. I feel like that would trip even my kid up.

britta DD has been day trained for over a year and a half. She's still in a pull up at night and wakes up soaked in the morning. She sleeps like the dead and doesn't know she's peeing (she'll have accidents when she randomly naps...she just doesn't wake up) I'm not pushing it.
