Since I'm being a PW today, might as well announce EDD is October 16th. Blood work and levels have all come back accordingly. First U/S will be on the 28th. Super excited; super freaking out.

When am I supposed to PT?? What about moving to a toddler bed?? I hadn't planned on doing these things for a long time. I feel like any progress we'd make will be turned back by the time baby is here!!

You've still got plenty of time before baby arrives. AB has lasted longer in the crib than any of my other kids. FWIW, DD1 was still transitioning out of the crib when DD2 was born. It all turned out fine! She was super motivated to sleep in the toddler bed after seeing her little sister take some naps in the crib. If you don't want to buy two cribs, I would work on that transition sometime before 2nd trimester is over. I would not push PTing any earlier than A appears ready. If that's pre-baby, great... If not, no biggie IMO.

We ended up with 2 cribs -I borrowed one from a friend- but mine were 17 mo apart.

But - really, I wouldn't do anything major within 2 months of baby on either side (pre or post).

Unless she shows readiness signs, I personally wouldn't potty train before baby.

Yay congrats!! PT whenever she is ready! If she doesn't like a wet diaper, wakes up dry at night, etc. get a potty or a seat and introduce her to it. Let her lead the way and don't push. We switched P to a twin bed with rails at 26 mos.

About PT follow her lead but personally I'd much rather do 2 in diapers than a newly potty trained toddler and a newborn. And same for toddler bed transition. I'd keep her in the crib if she'll let you because then you don't need to worry about a toddler getting out of bed at night when you have a newborn. We bought a second crib but it's easy just to play it by ear and see where A is.

In regards to PT and a toddler bed I would not stress about that. It would be nice in theory to have only one in diapers and only one crib. We obviously had two in diapers and two cribs since our first two were between ten and 11 months apart. I would urge you to follow A's cues for readiness vs. pushing her to one or both. You may only make yourself and her frustrated.
