So who's up with me? Baby girl has decided she'll only sleep in my arms tonight instead of going down...if she keeps this up it's going to be a very long night...

DS had a really lazy day today and only woke to be fed and pass out again. Now we're approaching bed time and he's decided it's time to happily sit up and look around. DH has already offered to take first shift because he went and played hockey tonight while I had all 3 and DD2 is teething really badly.
On the plus side, I leaked BM all over myself tonight. This is the longest it's taken my milk to really come in and I'm sure it only has now because I started drinking mothers milk tea before he was even born; but at least it's here. Now to just get his latch on point so I'm not cursing every time.

I'm up. I just got E up to nurse. I really need to start setting alarms because she slept for another 4 hour stretch.
She is gaining, But she needs to gain 3oz by Saturday to hit her birth weight goals.
It's been really hard with her this week because she's been incredibly fussy. The last two nights in a row, starting at around 5pm, she had screamed bloody murder for 3+ hours straight and is inconsolable. It really interferes with her nursing and sleep schedules.
I'm praying this doesn't become a daily witching hour.

I'm up! R nursed from 7-9:30 almost straight through...but then slept a 5 hour stretch so I'm pumped. I'd rather do that any day! And hopefully right now she nursed well and gives me another good stretch. It feels so damn good to sleep.
I'm here. N is currently nursing... I keep going back and forth on continuing to nurse and exclusively pumping... this hasn't been as smooth as it was with DS1 and my patience is fried. I feel bad about that...
Feeding both babes right now. DH and I are so conflicted if we continue to supplement and if we do just 1 oz or 2. The pedi wasn't very great with directions so trying to figure what actually helps them sleep! Which is all messed up right now with them being in the 3 week growth spurt. We had three 1 hour + long nursing sessions today I'm sure babes would have stayed longer but momma needed breaks.
I should be sleeping but I'm all backed up and miserable. And I freaked out about her being in the nursery so I walked down there. Damn hormones. I'm a mess.
LO won't eat before she goes to bed. So she eats sometime between 7 and 8, but won't eat at 10/11. I'd like DH to give a bottle then so that maybe she can get a long stretch overnight. I don't know how to get this to happen.

We're up nursing after a pretty good 4 hour stretch sleeping in the bassinet portion of the PNP. Here's hoping that she'll go back in the bassinet after this and give us another good break. I'm still sweating like a pig, but at least got some rest so far.

how is Zantac working? I'm over here willing it to work. I know the adult Zantac works in about 30 minutes, but I'm reading online that baby Zantac can take a few days?

allisong87 I've been exclusively pumping not by choice while we work on Z's latch issues, but the longer I go the more I think this may be the solution for us long term....I just worry that at this point by the time we really get it I'll be back at work anyway.

staz I'm jealous your baby sleeps in the PnP bassinet. That was or plan but Z won't sleep in it so we had to go get a RnP. FX she'll eventually sleep on flat surfaces.

dancerspose I'm struggling with the same issue. My plan was for LO to sleep in the pnp on our room until I move him to his crib. But he won't sleep in it, so we got a rnp. He sleeps great in it! But I'm already worried about getting him to sleep in his crib some day.
I just told H that the PnP probably isn't going to work. That was the plan but she needs to be propped up to sleep. So I'll be moving the RnP into our room when we go home. We'll see how that goes. She doesn't like to sleep unless someone is holding her so this could get interesting. And I really should be sleeping knowing all of this but instead I'm getting in a good cry myself and reading up on how to take care of these stupid stitches.

Ugh sorry you're having the same issue. Hopefully there's a smooth transition in both of our futures.

E has been sleeping for 3-4 hour stretches at night for two days now. It's glorious but I hope little miss is eating enough! We need to gain 3 oz by Saturday.
It's been three years. You'd think I'd be used to the idea by now but it just hit me all over again that I'm going home without my mom. She always said when I had kids she'd be there the first week until I was comfortable. I miss her so much and I can't believe she's never going to meet my sweet girl. This sucks. And it's just going to get worse when we hit the anniversary of her death in a few weeks. Blah.
I think DS and I are getting into the same schedule because I just woke up and checked my phone, 1:59. I waited to see if DH set an alarm and would be coming in soon since it was 4 hours and I told him no longer than that. Then I hear DS cry and they come in, and apparently he didn't set an alarm, the baby woke him.
Now baby is fed and we're sitting here on the edge of the bed hanging out because I also have a child who won't sleep in his PnP. Well I should say, he has slept in it during the day when he's practically comatose but not at night. I have the mat propped up a bit but it doesn't seem to make a difference to him. None of my kids loved this thing. But DD2 is still in the crib and NOT ready to transition. WHHHHY!?!?

staz I'm so sorry for your loss. It's completely different circumstances for me, but I know how hard it is to go through pregnancy and new mommyhood without your mother. It's the absolute worst.
Hits me at weird times too. Like when I see MIL holding her or when I see a mother helping her pregnant daughter pick out diapers at BJs.

dancersposemonicageller same boat here with the RNP. My plan is to try and transition her flat sooner than I did with K. It was tough, but I at least I am not sleeping with R. K slept in bed with me for 6 weeks before I could even get herin the RNP.

I actually just gave it to him this morning because I couldn't pick it up until yesterday evening and he threw it all up...sooooo that was great...
Feeding baby boy. Fx he goes to sleep easily so I can feed baby girl & then sleep some more myself.
Preach!
We had awake babies almost all day between the two of them!
Bless A's heart though, that child just woke up, had a diaper change, had a bottle and went back to sleeping soundly in 19 minutes. Now I'm pumping and am debating waking E up 30 min early for her feed to try and slowly get the babes back on the same schedule.
Do it! Wake E up so they are on the same schedule. We are waking them up at night otherwise there would be no sleep.

Mine have been eating a ton the last 2 days - in the 2-3 oz range per feeding. The growth spurt is crazy.
We've had the dockatot in the bed with us for the past two nights but plan on transistioning to the bassinet next week when it's easier for me to get in and out of bed in the motn.

Ditto. My plan this time was not to use the RNP at all, but I am using every night. I'm trying to do one nap a day in the crib and may start putting him down for his first stretch of the night in the crib. We'll see.
