I know I shouldn't complain with the 1 wakeup that DD is doing right now, but DH and I agreed that we would alternate nights of getting up with her so one person isn't always the one getting up. Last night was DH's night and he woke me up anyway and I could NOT go back to sleep (he got up and fed her and put her back down, so literally did not need me). So basically I woke up at 3:45. For the day. I'm beyond exhausted.

britta , that picture is me with N every. single. day. From the second he gets up, he starts talking and doesn't stop. Then the "I'm hungry" starts. Dude, let me get a shower, and you can have a bagel.
ksyknelvr73 , I wake up whenever G cries, so even if MH gets up to check on him, I'm awake. He can fall back to sleep easily, but I can't. I have had many a day basically begin at 4 because G wakes up and eats for almost an hour; then N wakes up and any shot I had at going back to sleep is gone.
ETA: at the first wakeup, MH put his pajama pants on to go check on G. He didn't realize until the second wakeup that he put them on backwards. He also nearly fell asleep standing up in G's room during the second wakeup. I offered to take tomorrow off so he can focus on the house. Tomorrow is supposed to be the nicest day of the week, so I can get the boys out of the house and out of his hair.

I'm at Chick fil A letting big P play on the playground. Next is Target. The home nurse was scheduled to come today before I canceled her and I was having lot of anxiety about if she would end up coming anyway. Mr. P told me to stay home and fight it but I didn't want to. It is much easier to be away from home right now.

What do you all think for "My Life After the NICU" as a title for my blog? I want to write about all the things but a big focus will be on the NICU. My mom told me I was in the NICU or something similar to be treated for jaundice after she was discharged so the name kind of has a double meaning. PDQ
We had stroller strides OUTSIDE this morning and it was awesome. Then story time at the library and usually DS1 is squirrely since he's the youngest in the group, but he was great today! Excited to go outside more after nap time. Seriously I'm gonna be so depressed when the weather gets shitty again.
I'm with you. It's 66* right now and Saturday is supposed to be in the 30s with snow showers. I so needed this weather....but man, the wait for spring is going to be so hard now.

@holachica, What a successful morning! I, too, fear the turn in weather. I purposely haven't put my kids in short sleeved shirts despite the warm temperatures. DS1 for sure would beg me to wear short sleeves every day if I let him wear them once. They will be so disappointed when they can't play outside again. I know the teachers at daycare are also enjoying all the outdoor play.

Our high on Friday is 78. This is crazy stuff. The temps are not forecasted for lower than the 60s for the next TWO WEEKS. I know I should enjoy it but I miss winter. I enjoy the colder weather. We don't really get snow much, so it just ends up being cold but sunny/nice usually.
DS was snotty and coughing this morning, so I figured it would probably be best he didn't go to playgroup and spread his little cooties to the other kids. Thereby freeing up my morning to take DS to see the big train at City Hall ( we have an old Pacific Railway engine permanently installed). It also happens to be an excellent place to play pokemon go. Then we took the ferry over to the Island and back, as it's also a hot spot for pokemon. Currently both kids are asleep *knock on wood* and I am doing sweet nothing.

You take that back! Just kidding. I get it. I think. You live in south, where's is hot as balls in the summer. Pass for you.

ksyknelvr73, that's amazing about the job! YOU GO. Be a girl boss! FX'd for you!
Home with the LO and got him down for his last nap pretty easy. Making avocado sauce for pasta for adult dinner and pureeing up some pear/plum my best friend sent us to freeze for when he starts solids! Otherwise it probably won't get all eaten cause DH hates plums and I can't eat a whole box myself.

Picked the girls up from daycare today and was told #1 wasn't feeling well and had puked on the playground. It's a five minute drive to my house. We turn onto my street to the sounds of projectile vomit. My poor car she then had a blast showering with daddy and is singing to herself in her bedroom as we speak. Toddlers.

vavavictoria oh man. Hope it's short lived. DS1 puked in H's truck a couple weeks ago, literally a mile from the house. I feel your pain. becole my dog lays like that on me. She's 37lbs and NOT a "lap" dog. Try telling her that.
I had to leave work early to feed Ophelia because she was refusing everything again. She's one week away from 5 months and I'm at the point where I'm debating having them add a little oatmeal to the milk to spoon feed her. Is that silly? Usually I'm in the blw at 6 months mindset but I can't miss any more work so I'm grasping for straws.
So...in my sleep deprived state, I totally forgot about that contraception thing. Had fun times with DH last night. Im on like CD 14ish...we're good right? DNW kids 13 months apart.

Plan B?
No. I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world. We plan on having more... just hopefully not so soon. But biology is not on our side. DD was a one cycle conception.
Alsp DD now rolls both ways. She surprisingly doesn't flip out when she rolls onto her stomach, considering how much she hates tummy time. She just pukes and plops her face in it. Lol
