I'm up for my first MOTN every two hour pumping session. I may not get to sleep at all before the next one because I think Z is waking up and will likely want to eat after this. DH is supposed to handle MOTN feeds but he was being such a baby about how he might not wake up so I told him to just heave her downstairs with me. I don't think he realizes how serious mastitis can be and that I'm overreacting.

shellbell ha, I definitely thought about doing that. I will not think twice about waking him up tonight or calling him home tomorrow if I'm having a hard time. I'm actually waiting for the dog to wake him up to go out, usually happens around this time. Is it wrong ok hoping Z can hold out until then so I can be all "well while you're up you can feed the baby...

LO is sleeping so well in the rnp. I want to just let him sleep, but I set an alarm for 3 or 4 hours because my boobs have been really sore and I think I may have a clogged duct. So I'm not letting my boobs go longer than that.
Libby woke up screaming only an hour after her last feed. She had another dirty diaper and was starving poor thing. We had some issues tracking down her formula so H needs to go out and get some. I have two bottles left so I'm hoping she makes it to 5:30 so he doesn't have to go MOTN (the Walgreens that has it in stock isn't in the nest neighborhood).

We're up for a feeding. DH has the pleasure of changing the third consecutive poo diaper in a row. Every time he thinks she's done, she lets more loose in the clean diaper. How much poo can one little baby have in her??

I'm at the end of my rope. See my post on the feeding thread.
I'm in the middle of a meltdown that started 11 hours ago. She's taken some breaks but is unbelievably fussy. Won't let me put her down. I held her for three hours in the glider and every time I tried to put her in the RnP she woke up and screamed.
DH, who has been very "wake me up if you need me, I'm here to help" got up with me around midnight because he could hear me crying in pain from BFing from the master. And when he decided he was done he walked back to the master and went to sleep. It'd be great if he'd bring me water and my haakaa pump. But nope. He's in bed.
loves2shop4shoes - Big big hugs girl! If it were me I'd honestly sit down and have a good/ugly cry right along with LO. It won't help all your nipple pain/issues but will help relieve some of the stress you have.
I'd also make sure DH stays engaged tonight since it's a super rough one.

I don't even know what to do anymore.
I'm sorry things are so tough right now. DH told you to wake him up if you need help- so wake him up. Tell him you need water and your pump. It sucks that men can't breastfeed and most of the newborn burden falls on moms, but also remember that DH isn't a mind reader.
loves2shop4shoes - have you seen an LC? I could have written your exact post in the feeding thread when I had DD. I went and got a private consultation with one that was a game changer for me. I left feeling positive about bf'ing for the first time since she was born. I can send you the info on the place I went to if you'd like (you're in Ma, right?).
loves2shop4shoes wake up DH. Hand him the baby. Go lay down for a few hours. He can bottle feed if she needs it. Take care of you so you can take care of her.

S is from fussy and not latching on for long. H fed her a bottle of expressed milk and she calmed down, but now she's having even more trouble getting on the boob, I was hoping paced feeding would do the trick-- nope. I can't wait for the LC appointment on Friday.

This little girl has been grunting and farting since 3:30. She's sleeping but I haven't been...going to be a long day. She's nursing now but I'm hoping to sleep a little more before DH has to leave for work

Yes. I saw a LC two days ago. The biggest game changer from that was nipple shields. Which are great...but give DD horrible gas. Which she'll then scream about.
