I forgot to put a filter in the coffee maker last night. I had coffee flowing through half the kitchen and grounds were everywhere this morning. It was such a mess.

😳
Exactly. I was still in bed when H went into the kitchen. As soon as I heard WTH, I knew what had happened. At least this gave me an excuse to stop by Panera for a bagel.

Nothing worse than a disaster before you've even had a sip of coffee
We're going to try a nature hike today. We'll see how that goes. Looking forward to a short day tomorrow and she's dropping him off at my house! We have so many kids W's age on our street I'm hoping some of them come out to play tomorrow. I'd like to do my house more frequently since we're in a neighborhood.
That sucks mrscatfarmer13 not a fun way to start the morning. Speaking of coffee, I need it all. C has been doing some decent stretches of sleep lately. But last night not so much--she screamed for like 40 mins and wouldn't calm and finally fell asleep at 1130, then back up in 3 hrs to eat. It's like you get used to a nice routine and then the baby decides to change it all up to fuck with you. On another note, N is finally getting the hang of pt'ing. I talked to her teacher at school and she will be going to school in underwear on Monday. We put her in underwear every night when she comes home and will do it over the weekend too. She loves her sticker chart. And she's super adorable and so grown up looking her in her undies, I can't believe she'll be 3 so soon 😢

Do you know what happens when you put liquid dish soap (like dawn) in the dishwasher instead of dishwasher detergent?

I'm jealous of how easy the girls seem to be. DS will still poop his pants if he's outside playing. It's so annoying. He just doesn't care. At all.

Because I do...
The tiny turtle song comes to mind...bubbles, bubbles, bubbles...

I wouldn't say she's been easy with pt'ing yet, we will see how she does the rest of the week and weekend. My kid really does things when she wants to, I can't push her. So C will get it when he wants to, at least that is what I think. And she had 2 pee accidents the other day. One was in regular underwear and she knew she did it. The other was in those Gerber training pants and she didn't care, I saw her cross her legs and she kept going on playing like nothing happened--we won't be using those training pants anymore.

I hate potty training. I put potty training off with E as long as I could. We might start with O near the end of the summer. On Tuesday he comes around the corner into the kitchen and I see he doesn't have a diaper on. When I asked him where is diaper is, he just laughs hysterically and says "unnerwear! Unnerwear!" I died laughing as I scrambled to get that diaper back on.

It makes me kinda rage when people say their kid was perfectly trained in like a day. My oldest niece was like that. She was so horrified of the feeling of it on her that she just got it instantly. It was instant PT with pee. But poop man. The amount of clothing washed...

becole we definitely had more per accidents. Even now E will have the very occasional accident because she doesnt want to stop what she is doing to go pee. That girl has major FOMO.
I think anyone who claims their kid was PT in a day is lying. I won't believe it. Even if I never see them have an accident, it's happening at home when others can't see. Some people just want to "win" the imaginary game so I think it's all smoke and mirrors.

I agree. You're either lying, or you left out the part about how you waited until the kid was 12 to potty train.

We were the opposite. Pee took a loooong time, but we had almost no poop accidents. We had other poop issues with him holding it and stuff, but rarely poo pants.
When we were out in the back yard the other day getting ready to do the confetti thing for our FB announcement, I looked over and Bub was halfway out in the yard with his pants around his knees. I was like maybe boys are harder to PT, but it's so convenient to be able to pee in the yard, I guess it balances out.
I'm just so annoyed by it because there's nothing I can do about it if he just decides to poop. Especially at school. I would think after 5 months and pooping in the potty regularly he might want to not have 💩in his pants and have to stop playing to get cleaned up. It is always outside.

The twins PT quick (like in a weekend), but they were already 3. They were just more than ready. DD is showing zero signs. I'm hoping I can get her interested this summer so she will be PT for Disney in Nov and the cruise in Dec (esp the cruise since they have to be PT to swim in the pools. Hoping to use that as motivation).
dogmama22 this is the extent of my current command center. Mail and chargers go on this table:
These are from Target. I'm planning to hang a clock at the top that would display the outdoor temperature. And a metal sheet at the bottom for the alphabet letters
And this is the inside of the pantry door for stuff we want handy but don't want to look at all the time. That thing is also from Target I think but I bought it a long time ago.
