We are awake for our first feeding too. Nice 4 hour stretch, glad I laid down at 8:30 when she fell asleep. I hope she nurses for a while here. She only nursed about 8 minutes before bed and my boobs are ready to be emptied, and I refuse to stay up and pump. Just eat child! Then let's sleep another few hours!
How do I get this kid to sleep in his PNP?! I'm not sure I can handle holding him while he sleeps much longer. He'll sleep for maybe an hour tops and then wakes up crying.

I let myself do a 3 hour stretch between pumps. It's shading how much sleep that feels like when you've had so little. Unfortunately I also seem to be in the middle of s back spasm. Fingers crossed it goes away. I can't afford to be laid up right now.
@allisog87 if you figure it out let me know! That's why we made an emergency rock n play purchase....

allisong87 we've been having success getting him used to it during the day when he is laziest. We did the same crib training DD2; I'd put her in it even awake while I did laundry or whatever.
DH is out visiting a friend tonight, a small part of me is annoyed but this friend just came back from staying with family out of province while his wife had cancer treatments. I can't really play the needy wife card here so I'm sucking it up.
Unfortunately DS has had a really rough day and has not wanted to be down all day. I've been living on the couch holding him because I can't walk and hold him long with my back pains. It's almost midnight here and still no relief and he's still not wanting to sleep. DH better be back soon, he said he'd be home by 11 (hence the small annoyed part of me). I need to tap out soon.
Oh hi! Our wake up was an hour or more later than usual! Yay!
DS is 3 today! I'm looking forward to a fun day/weekend...but so so so many feels. Right about now 3 years ago I was headed to the hospital. I had been laboring at home for 22ish hours and wouldn't have DS until almost 10pm tonight.

Feeding 2. She just did about 2.5 hours in her bassinet instead of the RNP. That's her usual stretch for the 2nd feeding so I am happy. allisong87 I kinda just went for it because I really would prefer her sleeping flat so the crib transition isn't hell (like it was last time). It took 2 attempts and she grunted and groaned for a while and spit up. She like being swaddled which helps a lot. My first would screech if you swaddled her and never settle down. With R if you get her arms away from her face she seems to settle down pretty easily and quickly. But I also am positive I had 2 completely different babies.

Up for our second feeding of the night. I had trouble falling asleep after the first feeding. WTF self? You are so tired at other times except when you're actually able to sleep.

We're up feeding after a nice four hour stretch. This baby is so much kinder than DD1. My only complaint is sweatiness and itchy episiotomy stitches. Not bad.
allisong87, we're having trouble getting B to like his bassinet too. Sigh. I always try to put him in it, but he grunts and groans and squeaks all night. I don't get any sleep because I'm listening and thinking he's awake.
Up for feed #3. Had trouble turning my brain off after I put him down, so I'm cranky. I know DD will be up soon too. Bleh.
@wineandcupcakes - yes, once babes are past birth weight you don't have to wake for feedings
OMG Ladies!!!! Both babies went 3.5 hours from first to second feeding. So much sleep tonight. They knew momma needed it after last nite. Wonder if all the storms we got overnight helped them to sleep. I'm actually shocked said storms didn't put LO1 into our bed.
We have abandoned the bassinet. LO hates it or sumshit.
We gave a bottle sometime before 11 to see if it gave us a longer stretch during the night. First wake up was an hour later than usual. Second wake up was same as usual. If lo can go 5-6 hours, why won't she do it during my sleeping hours?!
@jacks605 storms have never bothered my toddler. (Knock on wood.) we've had some big ones, and where our house is, the wind is very loud. Never a problem. We have even been in bad storms while camping and nothing. Maybe it's kind of like white noise?

I cringe when the babies sleep a long daytime stretch.

She typically goes from 8pm to 1:30am without eating. Baby, eat at 10 and then sleep 5.5 hours!!!

I need to try some simethicone drops tonight. The gas and grunting from 4am on is ridiculous. The sounds that come from her are like a barnyard. She sept on my chest from 4 until now, and now she's up eating.
Last night wasn't as smooth as the night before. Wakeups at midnight and 3:30am which is harder than 11pm and 3am. I got back to bed about 4:30 and then DD1 was up at 6. Thank god my mom is here. She handles DD1 and gets her to dcp so I can sleep from 6am-8am

She's been scared of more things since we just moved 3 months ago. It will pass eventually...
