Happy Friday y'all! There's a Noro outbreak at DS' daycare and if they can't clear it they are closing the center for 6 days. Because I can afford to take another week off before maternity leave. Here's hoping they bleach the sh*t out of that place this weekend!
FFFC: decided to try and get dressed this am BEFORE going to pee because I was being lazy... definitely leaned over to put my pants on and felt something wet on my foot. Peed on my own dang foot. So glamorous right now.
Happy Friday! I have an OB appointment and then I need to run a couple errands but H is off today so at least I can do it alone. I really wanted to go to the zoo today but I don't think we'll have the time, which is a bummer.
FFFC: My biggest reason for not wanting our dog to need surgery is because I want to save that money so we can go to Universal Studios in a year. I'm a bad dog mom.

Good morning! I'm off today so we're sitting here watching Caillou (ugh) before we get dressed and go to the park so she can burn off some energy before we go grocery shopping. I'm so happy because after searching high and low, I finally found a backup "baby lovey" on eBay this morning. DD is very attached to hers and I am so paranoid she's going to lose it someday. They don't make it anymore but hooray for eBay!
jmcbick, I have learned my lesson about waiting to pee. Pads have become a regular accessory for me the past few weeks.

FFFC: We're supposed to go to a birthday party for MH's step-cousin's son tomorrow. They live an hour away and then SIL wants to go to dinner for BIL's birthday. I really don't feel like going so I am contemplating telling MH that I was called in to work and he can just go on his own. I'm fine with the party but I really don't feel like having to stay and go to dinner with SIL.
sleepymonkey I found a backup for DS's on eBay a few months ago as well! I'm trying to wear it/make it smell like the other but he still won't take it unless 100% necessary. Sigh
jmcbick must be a really bad outbreak. 6 days? I hope they take the time to re-train their staff as well.
Yeah, you can shed the virus for up to 72 hours so that would be 2 "cycles". The crazy thing is, it's a hospital based center so I'd really love to know which medical professional parents are sending their kids back to daycare with Noro knowing how long it sheds for.

Morning everyone! I'm going for a walk soon with my bff, her 3 year old, and my 2 dogs. First time we're bringing the dogs so we'll see how this goes. One of my dogs can be so skittish so I'm curious to see how he does with a stroller. Ours is actually coming today so I definitely want to practice with it too! We have no where to put everything ahhhh. Also today a drain company is coming to unclog our bathtub! It's been clogged for way too long so I'm excited lol.

sleepymonkey, you are kinder than I am. I used to tell the kids I babysat that bald little demon wasn't on, even though they had on demand.
I'm being pretty productive today. We have a call with a nanny agency later, and then we're hanging out with friends at a local bottle shop (they have kombucha and fancy sodas too).
Had a great dinner with my family last night and it was really nice to see my sister! My stepmom set the date of my shower (April 1st) and my dad is bringing over the crib and changing table this weekend for us! My anxiety level has definitely gone down now that I'll be able to set up the furniture in the nursery. Plus my sister and BIL are stopping by tonight to pick up a piece of furniture I've been storing for them for 3-4yrs lol.
Should be an easy day today at work which is good because we stayed out late last night and I had insomnia too so I'm very tired today
Fffc: DS has a drs appt this morning. He got up early and I was not ready to get out of bed so I set him up with cartoons and cereal in the living room and went back to bed for 45 min.
I've been getting leg cramps when I wake up in the morning this week. I don't think dehydrated but don't know what else it could be.
H is out of town and I kind of enjoy being home alone and sleeping in the middle of the bed.
What size bed do you have? We had a queen and I felt so cramped between H and the two cats. Then we got a king and it's seriously a whole new world.
It's a queen and I really mind it and a king would take up way too much space in the room. I like snuggling with the cats and H would claim I sleep in the middle of the bed anyway.
jmcbick, that sucks. Our whole town (daycares and public schools) was dealing with a similar outbreak last month. It sucked. 14 out of 19 kids in kiddo's class had it over a 1 week period. Fortunately the weekend bleaching and the 72 hour hold rule seems to have finally kicked it (no new cases in a few weeks now).
I had my 30 week appointment today. Can't believe I'm about 75% done and also at 98% viability already! Everything is looking good, weight gain slowed down some, fundal height is on target, BP is good. I'm now in the really boring phase of gaining weight and being kicked. But no more tests until the GSB. So yay!
Definitely committed to birthing at the center now. Pretty sure I can manage the lack of pain meds (kiddo 1 was 29 hours, no meds), and anything else isn't really in my direct control (ie meconium). So that should be an interesting experience.
FFFC: It's really warm and I can't wait to try to get in a bike ride tomorrow morning (slow, on bike path, wearing a helmet). It'll make me feel so much more like myself again (I bike about 2,000 miles a year).

icedtea and PirateCat we cannot live without our king bed and last night I mentioned maybe wanting to keep all my pillows in the bed even after the baby comes and DW freaked out lol. She hates the wall of pillows that currently exist which would be impossible in anything other than a king. We like cuddling too but there's usually a line of dogs blocking us from being able to cuddle lol. Our cuddling in bed usually consists of holding hands haha! Maybe that's a fffc!

lupincat I think it's totally fair to not want to have to blow tons of money on dog surgery cause you'd rather use it for something else! We have one of those medical credit cards that we use for pet stuff and it's interest free for a certain time after each appointment. Universal sounds way more fun!!

Yea, H cuddles with my cat between us every night. If he's feeling generous or if it's a special occasion he'll cuddle with me, but ha makes sure I cuddle with the cat on the other side. He has his priorities.
I guess I should add that I also like snuggling with H. But he's not as soft as cats and he doesn't purr.
lol I'm not a snuggler. H would have been happy keeping the queen. Hell, he probably would've been fine with a full. I need All the Space.
I am not a snuggler either. H has some crazy man heat and it just makes me too hot. But I do snuggle the cat and I have a giant pillow wall going on right now lol I'm super happy we got a king sized bed... I need my sleep space
My face is getting tingly/somewhat itchy, I was hit with a wave of exhaustion, and I'm seeing spots on and off. WTF, body. I have not done or eaten anything weird/different. And I've been drinking plenty of water.
I had DS1 at a birth center inside of a hospital (but not part of the hospital) and they not only offered pain meds, they did c-sections.
I'll be having this baby at a similar type location
It's a birth center across the street from the hospital that it's affiliated with. My state only allows hospital affiliated birth centers. No pain meds, no c-sections. If those are desired or needed they just send you across the street.
They do have tubs that are of proper size for water births! and the bed is a queen sized bed! Also a full kitchen you are encouraged to bring a meal to eat for after delivery (or they have a bunch of places near by that do take out / delivery).

jennyelf that was my ideal place to have the baby but there's only one like that that's close to us but we didn't like it... I wish there was a nice birth center nearby with a good hospital affiliation. (This one is affiliated with a crappy hospital lol.) So awesome that you have that!

icedtea I had a similar experience today at the grocery store. I started sweating and feeling really dizzy/weak. Luckily there was a Starbucks in the grocery store so I got some ice water since I only had room temp water with me and a strawberries and cream frappachino. Not exactly healthy, but it made me feel better. I had my usual breakfast so I'm not sure what the deal was. I'm home now and feel like nothing happened, but I did not like that feeling.

Yeah, I'm really happy to have it as a feasible option. I delivered at the affiliated hospital with kiddo1 so if for some reason I am transferred, no big deal. The hospital birth I had last time was what I wanted and perfectly fine. I hope your birth ends up happy for you!

I'm sorry you had it too :\ I ended up having a pedialyte pop and that seemed to help a bit. The itchiness and spots are gone, but I'm still exhausted. I may nap for a bit.
