We walked to the park today. It was so nice. There were 3 other boys there all within a few months of DS1. He had such a good time playing and is now napping!
Oh man oldbaylover1024. I just want to give the universe a big huge middle finger for you. I hope you catch a break soon, karma has to reverse itself and balance out right? I'm so sorry you're in this situation. Fx for a Sunday release and smooth sailing from there.

oldbaylover1024 I'm so sorry for everything. I hope your luck turns around soon.
littleredfish preparation H helped my hemmorhoid a lot. I was frustrated because my lady bits haven't even been sore, but my hemmorhoid was the only thing in pain. Once I started the Preperation H it was prettty much gone within a day or two.
We have had a major baby drought around here the last week or so! Come on F17 babies- give your mama's a break and come out!
Afm: I feel great today, after feeling like crap yesterday. MIL is still here and SIL's sitter needed the day off so we got to enjoy this awesome 75 degree February day by meeting at a park and then getting lunch. I wore real clothes! I feel like a normal human again!

It's another 70 degree day here, which is really weird for New England. We thought we'd be ambitious and go to the beach. It took hours to get out of the house, but we're about to get there. I'm sure she'll sleep through it but I'm still excited to take her.

monicageller I have a hemorrhoid cream (I've never had one bad enough to use a cream before) but when I use it, it burns a little. Is that normal? The box says instant relief, but there is no instant relief. I have nothing to compare it to.

Thanks, guys. I'm really sorry to be such a downer and so disconnected from the group right now.
I'm just so WTF with all this at this point. No newborn photos. No nursing. No newborn diapers or clothes. No welcome home. No cuddles. I feel like I don't even know him like I should. And I'm watching my maternity leave disappear without him.
I've been really good about staying optimistic and letting the good news stay at the forefront. But today, the infection, the extra days, the hand issue, having to go out in public every day since I gave birth/had major surgery... It feels like too much.
Anyway, enough of that.
littleredfish - I'm obviously not @monicagellar, but hemorrhoid cream should not burn. I like the Target brand. It's a cream v. a gel and it doesn't have a smell so it's more discrete. Good luck - roids suck.

@jacks605 so sweet! I actually really like pics I have of dd1 crying during her shoot haha. It's such a short period of time when they are dainty and adorable while crying.
T&P's and all the fingers and toes crossed for some weekend babies!!
MIL stayed with me today. My friends with boys dropped off two huge tubs of clothes so we went through all of those and washed and put them away. I feel like I've gotten so much done this maternity leave and I've only been home since Monday. So much different than with DD.

oldbaylover1024 you're totally allowed to feel every way that you do. I honestly cannot imagine going through what you have gone/are going through right now. It's impossibly hard not to bring your baby home; add in the additional stresses and disappointments...I think you're handling things pretty appropriately. Don't feel bad complaining or venting to us. We love you, and cannot wait for you to take your baby home! (Hugs)
Omg @jacks605 those are awesome!!!! They are so cute!!! Thanks for sharing. I can't believe they are only 6 lb 6 oz! My 2 week old is already out of all her newborn clothes and diapers.

So since apparently I am closed up like Fort Knox, I am debating letting H go help his friend move out of his apartment. He would be gone all morning, and the guy lives 1.5 hours away. I'm leaning towards letting him go, because I'm feeling all "I'm going to be pregnant until the middle of March," but my rational side tells me this could be a very bad idea. I mean, my mom is planning on visiting tomorrow morning, but if there's one person I really don't want with me, while I'm in labor, it's probably her. On the other hand, if things don't happen (which I fully expect to be the case), I'll feel bad telling him no for no reason.
Maybe I'll just see how things seem in the morning? Hmmmm

@jacks605 that's such a cute photo. Z and my brothers daughter are exactly a month apart and the size difference is astonishing. Her cousin was full term and about a pound a half bigger and is a good 3-4 pounds bigger now. It's amazing what a difference that makes when they're so young.
oldbaylover1024 I am so sorry for everything you're going through. Please take time to take care of yourself too.

Can I AW brag for a moment? We had such a good day. It's day 2 of 3 of me being either entirely or mostly on my own with Z. First, I decided what the hell and put her in her PnP bassinet while I got ready this morning. We hasn't tried her in it since the first week disaster. She stayed out cold in it for almost an hour. I couldn't believe it, especially since she wasn't swaddles and didn't have a blanket or anything. I'm hoping that's a good sign for eventual transitions.
Then, this afternoon I did my first solo outing with her (driving somewhere). She was so good. We went to the breastfeeding support group meeting. It's about a half hour in each direction. She was perfect in the car. Slept through most of the meeting, but did nurse perfectly with no fussing for more food from a bottle when we were done. AND, when I weighed her she is up to 7lbs 14oz, up 12oz from last Wednesday.
Of course, she's being fussy now, but luckily DH is home to help. Hopefully the good day wasn't setting me up for a rough night or day tomorrow when he's gone for 24 hours.
Tried to scroll thru to catch up but prob missed a few things. Love the twin pics! But here's news! Guys I had a baby today! Team green turned team pink!! Syl.via Josephine. It was a crazy fast labor I am still in shock. Birth story to come when I'm less sleepy.
