I'm currently waiting at medexpress. I think I might have strep. My uvula is so swollen I keep gagging on it lol. My house needs to get healthy! It's gorgeous here and I want to enjoy it, damnit. On the bright side, L slept a 6 hour stretch despite being grunty and the remainder of the night being a shitshow.
ETA: strep test came back positive. Lol. I don't think I've had this since I was a teenager.

We're having our first gross weather day in awhile. It's only getting to 49* after spending the last week in the 70s and it's supposed to be super windy. No outdoor fun today.
carrots, 2 of C's 3 grandmas are not baby people. My stepmom is the only one that is tbh. Both other grandmas seem to have come around really well,I think it's different when it's your own grandbaby. Fx it goes smoothly for all of you.
rinny, oh no! I hope you feel better. Also, uvula is such a weird word. I've never thought something with such an awful name belonged in our throats. Great news on the 6 hr stretch!
thelittleredm, I will happily take your 70 degree weather, so thank you for sending it to the east coast.
C only had 1 wakeup last night, then I woke her up at 830. After her morning nap we're going to take the dogs up to my moms again. Too nice to spend the whole day inside!

So sorry rinny! Strep sucks. I had is last year before getting KU. I hadn't had it since middle school. Super unpleasant. Hope you feel better soon!
Gorgeous day here! DS1 and I played outside for a bit before going to daycare. I feel a bit guilty since it is super nice out and I have no plans... should have kept him home but I did take him pretty late and plan on picking him up early.

You must be west of me, that sounds like the weather that is headed here just in time for the weekend

Very possible. I wish we could just skip Spring so that I could skip at least the big part of the windy season. I hate wind.
He has really settled into a decent sleep routine this week. He's been going down between 7.30 and 8pm for weeks now but we've had a solid week of just one wake up. First stretch is 5.5 to 7 hrs then he's up at 6 ish which is wake up time in our house. Second 3hr stretch is usually pretty grunty with a couple of paci replacements to keep him out but I'll take it. I feel almost human!
It's a lovely day here too but I have a boring morning of paperwork to do. While slow cooking lamb shanks for dinner.
I may go to the BF support group later just for some adult conversation and to get out. We've finally found or groove there too

rinny oh no! I had strep a few years ago and it was like I had swallowed glass. Hope the antibiotics kick in fast and no one else gets it
bazinga I can't believe some of the babies are eight weeks, but your schedule gives me hope!
We got to bed at 11 which is an improvement. 4 hour stretch then 2.5 and then she spit up everywhere and woke herself up and got it all over the RNP. So the cover got washed already and she got to try out her play mat
Lazy day here today. I think W is about to hit/has hit the 6 week growth spurt. He has either been attached to my boob or downing bottles all morning since we woke up. He is napping on DH now and I'm getting DS1 down for a nap now.

Dh just gave me the greatest gift of all time! He is taking BOTH kids to his grandfather's house tomorrow. FOR THE DAY! My plans: mani/pedi, sleep, binge watching Veep! I cannot wait.

The timing and weather made for a perfect zoo adventure. We went first thing so it wasn't too hot and the animals weren't done with people yet. So many of them were moving around and close to the fences. I have the cutest video of ds being surprised by an owl and then getting all excited and hooting back. 💙 Then the inlaws took us out to lunch and we hung out at their place for a bit. It was nice to have the extra help.
lakegirl, love the pictures! Looks like so much fun!
I will preface this post by saying I am not a girly girl. I rarely wear makeup or do anything with my hair. I hung out with all men in college, work on cars with my H, play softball and get dirty in the summer and have never met a shot I won't drink at least once.
With that said, I am officially a girlmom.
ZOMGSSSS THE BABY GIRL SUMMER CLOTHES !! (And bloomers!) Do not care what I look like. As long as my kid looks cute.
pibblemom I'm not a girly girl either but I'm having so much fun buying dresses for dd...as long as there's no pink. I still have some tomboy standards!

I was initially against all things pink, but it's near impossible to avoid, so I think we are team #somepink

I can do some accent pink, like in a delicate floral print, but I avoid solid. It is so hard to avoid. I'm always questioning why they can't make something in any other color. But the thrill of the little girl hunt is half the fun for me now!
I snuck in a nap, so that was good. Also good - it was unseasonally beautiful out today and I made it out for a long walk with B in the stroller. It was a nice change of pace.
