They had just rented a room and did their own thing. They could've just filled the room with balloons and the kids would've been happy. They also had some coloring and puzzles to do as well as the food and cake.
. This is pretty much what I was thinking of doing for my oldest son's 6th birthday.

Listening to H talk to DD is hilarious sometimes. "D, you need to not be so shy and talk a little louder. We want people to hear you because you've got a lot to say". FTR. She'll be 3 next month.
I went and got fast food before h went to work. Something for him to take to work and I thought I would try something new.
Well, apparently I forgot that I got something different than I normally get and was getting all excited for my usual. I opened my box and was like "what the fuck is this??" Then I remembered.. I'm quite disappointed now and am hate-eating my food.
We are on the way home from my cousin's birthday party. She's 3, and she and C are so sweet together. Also she really loved the gift we got her. That always makes me so happy.
The lead up to bedtime was bananas. I have wine. Cheers.
Same here with dd lately. She's been out of control lately. Ds is such a little angel and all I can think is "you're going to be a little shit like dd soon too... I just know it" 3-4 has been the hardest on us thus far.
