rocksforludo, can we talk a little more about how best to support the ACA? Kaine and Warner know I oppose its repeal, but are there other actions I can take?
I signed up for FamiliesUSA's mailing list and followed them on Twitter.
Right now it's a focus on contacting Congress, town halls and social media awareness.
Their website has lots of good educational info too. I found this helpful as various plans are being put forth by the GOP.

I think right now educating myself on the details are important because the Dems are going to have to be participants to get a replacement passed and we're going to need to weigh in on specifics with our Reps and Senators.
I'm trying to focus on helping immigrants and supporting Planned Parenthood.
I'm also trying to be involved in local actions as much as I can. This weekend there's a Yoga + Peacemaking fundraiser for ACLU that I'd like to go to, and I've encouraged DH to sign up for our county's Neighborhood Court (it's a criminal resolution process that keeps low-level offenders out of jail).
Once DS starts kindergarten this fall I'll get involved with the PTA or school board.
It can be really hard to stay focused. I know I need to call my MOCs more often but I get overwhelmed during the day trying to stay focused at work.
Is anyone planning on going to the tax day march? Besides trying to link into as many protests as I can the ACA and budget are the big things. The budget screws over so many agencies especially the EPA.
