Also, what should I ask for for my birthday? I have one of those families that wants to buy off a list. It drives me nuts to think of gifts for myself.
A massage
A day without kids
Gift cards for a shopping trip for your day without kids
This is my life today. The fussing continues. I seem to have reached my second wind though because I don't feel nearly as exhausted as I should. Or my body has figured out how to live without sleep.
Awwww poor baby pibblemom I hope she gives you a break
I hit up the store early to take advantage of some good sales. Then I drove the long way home to maximize the quiet time where I didn't have to hold anyone. Dinner is in the crock pot and now I'm nursing the baby outside while ds plays. Bonus: Mh should be home early today. It's shaping up to be another gorgeous day!
I have a cough that keeps waking B up too carrots. Blah. Colds suck.
Have fun packing heybulldog56! Where are you off to?
Awww poor pibblepup pibblemom. Hopefully she gets a decent nap in after all that fussing.
I frequently take the long way home while driving lakegirl. I love having an extra few minutes of not worrying about anything at all.
B had a tough night. His longest stretch was less than 3hrs and he was up for the day at 5:30. His first nap lasted 15 minutes (ugh), but his second is going on 2 hrs now (yay). I managed to get a nap in myself too. Im feeling a bit refreshed.
F has been soo fussy the last few days, she's definitely leaping. She's been so much more alert. pibblemom I feel like I've gotten used to lack of sleep too, unfortunately!
I'm glad you got a nap in ellabee. I'm debating going to lactation circle (where C sleeps every week) and just taking a nap in the room after it's over 😂

I've been having a tough time keeping up. Have had a lot going on lately (busy stuff, not stressful stuff), and the toddler has been extra toddlery lately.
One of my nips is in searing pain. Just the tip. There's no bleb, but a pin-sized red mark. I don't like it.
Today, I will be making a sweet potato/bacon/brussels sprout hash for the rest of the week's breakfasts. For dinner tonight, I'm having a pancake bar! Blueberries, chocolate/PB chips, and bacon bits to put IN the pancakes. And syrup, chocolate/PB syrup and whipped cream to put ON the pancakes. NOM.

Add me to the long way home group. The other day I turned a 20 minute car ride home into almost an hour. Dd is great in the car and ds was asleep. I knew he'd wake up as soon as We walked in the door so I stopped at Popeyes drive thru for lunch and then McDonald's drive thru for an ice cream cone. I'm also grateful dd is still rear facing so she didn't see what she was missing out on.

I'm finally giving up on getting any extra sleep. W keeps falling asleep but the toddler won't stop talking to me. It is crazy windy here today so no outside time which is fine. We'll just get some chores done and especially laundry for our trip this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing family but I hate traveling with H's family without H along. They're too stressed out for my tastes when it comes to road trips. It's why they normally fly everywhere.

carrots and ellabee, we are going to Miami to visit my family and for B's baptism. We leave Thursday. At 6 am. Punch me in the face. But it was that or smack in the middle of nap time and I knew DS1 would be way too excited to sleep. It just wouldn't have ended well so 6 am it is.
pibblemom, sorry for the rough day. At least she's cute, right? Sometimes I can't help but laugh at B's angry crying faces.
heybulldog56, that's where mh and I were all morning. We've either cracked up or reached a new level up in parenting, because we were laughing at her faces once we realized this was fussy, she was fed, dry and they're not painful cries today. Can infants get over tired and fight sleep? I know toddlers do
WTAF. The nurse just called to give me a heads up that dd still isn't on our insurance so she cannot get shots tomorrow. We would have to pay out of pocket and they can't reimburse us. Mh got paperwork the beginning of last week and called them, gave them her ss number, etc to get her on the policy.
Recap: 1. Took forever to get us our info at the beginning of the year because the broker messed up everything for mh's company. Gave us an emergency 800 number to call if I went into labor early. 2. Spelled ds' very simple and traditional name wrong on the cards. We still haven't received replacements. 3. Dragging their feet on adding dd.
Mh's work has only been with this insurance for two months. Not impressed. I'm so glad he's switching jobs next month and we will have a different company. Rage.
ETA: calls have been made and she's now on it but still not impressed.
That breakfast hash sounds delicious judyblume14! Do you have a recipe?
I chop half a pound of raw bacon (or breakfast sausage), half and onion and a whole sweet (or regular) potato, throw them in a casserole dish in a 375 oven for like 20 mins.
Meanwhile, chop up any veggies you want (peppers, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, spinach, squash, etc).
Add any hearty veggies to the dish, stir, and pop back in the oven. Keep stirring and checking. And then add in any more delicate veggies (like greens).

It's so nice out again plan on taking E for a walk soon. E has been up since 10am some days she is more tired than others it's so hard to follow or know what to expect day to day.

lakegirl, that is so stressful. I would be beyond pissed. I'm glad everything's been taken care of but, wow, what a pain in the ass.
pibblemom, I'm no baby expert but I believe baby's can get over stimulated and have a hard time falling asleep because of it. At leaf that what I tell myself when B is crying despite being fed, clean, healthy, etc.
My legs are sore. So, so sore. All due to wandering around the entire house and walking up and down the stairs for two hours while trying to pack for both boys.
Ah! My cousin (not from Miami) just called to tell me she's going to Miami/ the baptism! I am so excited! I haven't seen her in forever. I am super close with all my cousins as we all grew up together. I can't wait 😊

F had a check up today and he's 12 pounds! And 95th percentile for height.
She actually suggested I bring my 3 year old in as he's very tiny. 3rd percentile for height. He always has been. My bf and I are both 5' 8. So it could be one kid has taller genes or whatever.
MissDemeanor, 12 lbs!! Wow. How many weeks? Our dr just said 2 lbs and 1 inch gain again by next appt in 4 weeks. I don't think we'll have a hard time hitting that

He's 7 weeks. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz at birth.
My older son did not gain weight like this at all. It's nuts.
It was so nice out today that I thought I'd be good and combine a stroller nap for B with picking DD up from daycare. On the plus side I got exercise. On the downside, DD treated me to 20 minutes of why why why why why why but whys. I'm mentally exhausted.

This has been my experience with my boys! W has put on weight so much easier than DS1 ever did.
