DD has thrush, just went to doctor today. But I suspect she could have had it for at least a week. I've been pumping in the morning and freezing that milk. Is that milk safe to give still? I don't have any signs of thrush for myself, but I'm starting diflucan today. I just don't want to dump milk, and I get differing opinions on the interwebs. What does bf board think?
if you're freezing any milk, i would label it "thrush," and then consider either scalding the milk when you give it, or mixing it with non-thrush milk bit by bit until it's used up.
of course, if you weren't doing any pumping, it's not like you would just stop BFing your LO cold turkey until she was done with the medication... so the above is all out of an overabundance of caution.
