LO finally eats solids!! He doesn't care for fruit but he loves veggies.
Here's a fun one...LO is now toothless again. His single snaggletooth fell out. I guess he ate it? I have yet to come across it. His pedi says he may have had an extra baby tooth or it could have been broken. He offered to refer us to a pediatric dentist but I declined. We'll check it out in August. He's unbothered so now we just wait to see if new ones come in.
Lastly, he can now take 4 steps unassisted before falling to the ground in a fit of laughter. His favorite way to travel now is to push his walker around like a lawnmower lol.
1. shehulk723 I'm so sorry to everything you are going through!
2. Rama a fun thing about twins is that you get extra ultrasounds! I feel like I went to the doctor constantly. It has both upsides and downsides.
3. G was just crying in her crib. I went to check on her and she was standing up completely in her crib. So not ready for this.
4. My babies are 7 months old today! How/when did that happen?!
Do you happen to remember when your next one was after the confirmation ultrasound? I have to shamefully admit I'm chomping at the bit to see them again.
G is not allowed to be old enough to stand. I forbid it. She's a baby, dangit! It's clearly only been 3 months, obvs. She must have missed the memo.
We didn't have our confirmation u/s until 7 weeks because we were traveling. Then we had another at 8 weeks which I think was just my RE being nice to us since we were so shocked by the twins news that we couldn't really enjoy the first one. Then we started with the MFM at 10 weeks and had one then, then the nuchal translucency scan at 12 weeks, then the a/s at 18 weeks (that was our largest stretch without one). Then I started cervical length scans at 20 weeks, every 2 weeks until 3rd tri (and saw them at each of those)... And then growth scans and BPPs every 2-4 weeks during 3rd tri.
I wouldn't expect as much as we had though. Originally the RE assumed the twins shared a placenta based on the fact that we only transferred one embryo, and that would have made me high risk, so I started care with an MFM instead of an OB, and we liked her so we stayed with her even once we found out it was not so high risk after all.

I have a history of hypertension before pregnancy, so I kind of get the feeling we'll be labeled high risk anyway.
Thank you for this, though! It's eased my mind to have something of an idea of what to expect. <3
I'm playing bingo with the olds. On a friday night.
Officially living the life.
I LOVE BINGO!!!
Also hi!
Walking steps? Like real walking?! Oh man, I'm not ready for any of that yet. This kid is starting to get the crawling motion down and I'm like oh please no no no stay still.
You guys talk about crawling and now walking..meanwhile my kids like "I like laying here." God forbid I help him roll over or do tummy time..my non screaming baby makes it known that those things are not ok. Haha. My DD was advanced and the daycare would say "be careful she's making room for another." DS is clearly taking his last child duties seriously.

Haha my daughter is "about to crawl any minute now" for going on a few months. She's also been getting her first tooth for a few months.

Sounds like an excellent Friday night to me!
Also, I CANNOT believe your baby is taking actual steps already.
I didn't win the pot but it was still really fun.
I also lost the pool on baby's first steps. My mother won and has been rubbing it in all of our faces. My guess was 15 months.
Fun fact-both of my nieces started walking this past october. One was newly 8 months and the other was almost 17 months. Both developmentally "normal." It always a gamble as to when they feel like making a move lol.

More like "super drunk-leaving the bar-I think I can make it-but wait no i can't" walking than real walking lol. He definitely won't be winning any races but did enough to make it into the baby book.
Sakinah oh the spectrum for "normal" is vast! It's funny bc DD walked at 10 months and I already tell DS will be the after 1 camp.
That being said if DS isn't sitting up soon I'm going to consider PT with him. I could do somethings on my own, but pediatrics isn't my area of speciality.

Is or has anyone done baby proofing? We obviously put the stair gate up since he's crawling and I did outlet covers. And put foam tiles over the fireplace tiles. Do you do coffee table bumpers? Suggestions on ones you like? We have a massive custom made wood table and I've been looking on Amazon for corners but many of them use double sided tape and I don't want to ruin the wood. Husband thinks we just leave it and he will "learn" but I definitely don't want him splitting his head open to learn!

Do the twins share a crib?
No, they move around way too much to share. But we live in a teeny tiny 1br so they have mini cribs.

We used corner covers on the table with ds1. They stuck on, and ds2 promptly picked them off. Our $20 ikea coffee table is indestructible, and they didn't leave any marks, but we would have been okay if they had. Ds1 never hurt himself on it. When he'd fall it would always be onto like, a straight wall that would have had no way of baby proofing.
A friend of ours had a large, soft, stretchy thing that went around the whole edge of the table, almost like a shower cap that still left the top exposed. That could work if you don't want to leave marks.

I never protected our table. By the time that she was tall enough to hit the edge she knew to adjust her movements. We have a glass top coffee table and put covers on the edges. We did put the foam covers around our stone fireplace.
Well DS didn't let the clocks changing impact his waking time..he followed the damn clock. So was up at 6:30 new time (so 5:30 in my mind). He's never up that early! Of course I went to bed later and he was already up once to eat.
Shoot. It just occurred to me that G's recent poor napping might be a result of my increased caffeine intake. I think I have to cut back to a cup a day. And I was so enjoying having more. :-(
And my 2 year has learned to climb into and out of her crib. Just ordered the toddler rails! So not happy about this new development.
Ahhh! Mine never did this. She was even playing in the baby's crib the other day and I asked her if she could climb out and she couldn't. Good luck with the big bed!

I'm kind of shocked it's taken her this long..she's a climber. Luckily the rule following part of her won out for so long. I'm hoping she'll at least sleep well in there at night until the rails come.
I have no Idea what Purim is!! My local library had a mini comicon going on so he just had to wear it. I like batman and my mom managed a Halloween store so I got that for him and an outfit for B for super cheap here's B.

I was gone this weekend for a moms' weekend in Sonoma/Napa. It was so much fun and I pumped just enough. My mom and H took care of the kids. My mom said when I was gone, R kept looking for me and saying, "mama." I will believe that it was his first word and he meant it.
