I'm sorry about the mind-fuck, too, @snuff9861. I thought for sure that first test was positive.

DD1's room is done (aside from putting up the framed horse posters I got her). She had so much crap in her room that it took forever to clean an purge and do everything that needed to be done. She absolutely loves it was is so excited about it. (DD2 is insanely jealous and was angry when she found out we were redoing the room. Now she's insisting that we need to do the same thing for her birthday. Um, no.) I'm really happy with how it all looks together. It looks better in person, but here's a picture.

vavavictoria, we're restricting screen time unless it's Skyping with his grandparents or if I need a distraction when we're cutting his nails. It's hard because he's super interested in all screens, even if my phone lights up with a call. I will admit that yesterday we snuggled and watched Pocoyo some because he was so unhappy and was refusing to play or read or nap.

@snuff9861 - That really looks like another line! Digitals aren't as sensitive and if you're testing very early, maybe the other test strip didn't register because it didn't detect the HCG. bet you are pregnant and it's just very early!

I know - that's not what I was saying. It's possible the other tests didn't detect the HCG at all, perhaps because of the amount in your urine at the time you tested. Weren't the two tests that showed a line taken with FMU, and the others weren't?

The first one that was positive was not taken with fmu. Yesterday both the cheapie and digi were (and negative). And today was fmu again.

I know the cheapies tend to detect positives first because they are so sensitive. Maybe a digital will be positive in a day or two.

You have great restraint. I would have probably spent $50 on all the brands of tests by now.

I bought a digi two pack =$30. And I had a box of cheapies left over from before DD was born ($16)

@snuff9861 I'm with everyone else. It definitely looks like two lines to me. The digitals do take longer to register the HCG, so that may be why it was negative. Fingers crossed for you!

Yesterday was rough. G is teething hardcore and did not want to go down last night. We spent the night in the recliner, so I did not get a lot of sleep. MH is a saint though; he put off the shower project so I could shower, shave my legs, and go get a mani/pedi. He is pretty much the best. He's going to call the pediatrician tomorrow to see if they want to see G because he's been so miserable with the cough for a few days now.

I am currently in the pedicure chair with a Dunkin iced tea treating myself to a spa pedicure. Once I'm done here, I'm running to Target and the grocery store.

We are terrible about screen time with N. Since we are usually all in the living room together, G definitely gets more than he should. He doesn't really watch though; I think the light gets his attention more than anything. He also facetimes with my ILs, as much as a 4 month old can.

I'm taking the boys to a birthday party today and I have an appointment to get a spray tan later...I don't ever do them so I am a little nervous but this girl was recommended to me by someone who goes to her regularly and she always looks really good and not orange or streaky. Fingers crossed. I am trying to get a little color (and give it a few days to really settle) before the wedding I am traveling for next weekend.

We don't really limit screen time over here (UO?). For DS, usually Barney is always on, but he only watches it 25% of the time. I realized his favorite Barney's are the ones with a ton of music, so I think he just enjoys the noise. For DD, I usually have her in the kitchen right off the playroom, so she isn't exposed to as much screen time during the day. We did figure out though that when we put DS down at night, the only thing to keep her from freaking out is to have basketball on, so I suppose that's her screen time😂 it is just the movements and lights on the screen that get her attention.

Hanging out today. I was going to go grocery shopping, but DS is being a grump today, so we are staying home. Both the kids are snot faucets, so it's all saline and nose fridas in this house.

We do no screen time for any of them unless it's something like sports that we're watching together (happens once or twice a month).

This is what I normally do but she will contort her entire body to try and see. I'm sure when she is able to roll she will do it to see the tv. It's a little nuts to me bc #1 did not even care that the tv was on at this age. It's not a huge issue bc we don't do much with the kids with the screen on but I was wondering if second kid is just getting exposed to more bc of the first kid.

TTMA about teething fevers. DS has been going through his wonder week since Friday. Cranky, crying, wanting cuddles. Barely wants to do anything. He has been teething a bit, and I think he has a teething fever. 99.3 sound about right?

I plan to keep checking through the night to see if it goes up. I assume I can give some baby Tylenol? Will/should my daycare provider still take him?

macaronmama low grade fevers can be common with teething. Tylenol would be fine, and I would definitely still send him to daycare tomorrow if fever is still under 100 and he is okay (albeit cranky) otherwise.

Thanks. Gave him some in between crying fits just before his last feed and we got some smiles by the time we were turning out the lights. I felt so bad for him today.

We decided to try some gentle sleep training and do the pick up put down method tonight. O fell asleep in 5 minutes for DH. (I made sure to feed her more than half an hour before bedtime). She went to sleep at 7 and is up for the FOURTH time now at 9. She was in her crib, white noise, warm enough and is definitely tired. One of the times she put herself back to sleep. The others she didn't want to nurse when she woke up but needed us to pick her up a few times and calm her back down.

So I thought nursing was her sleep crutch but maybe not??
