@thatgolfbitch, happy birthday!! GL meeting your workout goal for this week!
AFM, I'm a runner who is on a self-imposed break right now. I last ran a few days before my transfer on 2/16. Im hoping to feel better about this pregnancy soon so that I can start running again. I think this thread is a great idea, and I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to join in once I'm exercising again!
Happy birthday @thatgolfbitch hope you have a lovely day!
I have nothing to participate in this thread as I don't work out (unless lifting a 34 pound toddler counts)
However for my health, I am making a conscious effort to eat more veggies for baby bean, although I'm not sure if things are even being passed down to them just yet.

I guess my weekly goal is to go to indoor soccer tonight. I'm a bit nervous about it because my cousin was freaking out that I was going, but I think it'll be fine. I figure I might as well keep up my regular activies as long as I can. Soccer only goes until the end of the month anyway.
I do kickboxing Monday nights and will keep that up too. We don't spar, so there isn't really a risk of getting hit in the stomach.
I did a half hour power yoga with Adrienne video this afternoon and worked up quite a sweat (it incorporates squats and jumping jacks), so I was feeling good! And now I feel barfy. LOL.
@thatgolfbitch Happy Birthday! Miss Killjoy, I hear ya. Time constraints forced me to skip my Starbucks this morning and I am sad. blabbermouth Enjoy your indoor soccer - I think you'll be fine.
My only goal this week is to eat the healthy snacks that I brought in instead of the crappy snacks that I bought from 7-11 last week (and balanced meals – but those are always a goal). I normally get most of my exercise on the weekends – we try to stay as active as possible with DD.
I'm going to try to keep up with running/walking this week. I need to eat healthy, but it is so hard in the first trimester. The though of vegetables is very off putting right now. I'm going to try to sneak them in a smoothie for breakfast in the morning.
I'm going to try to keep up with BBM 6.0 and walk as much as I can. For me, first-tri eating is the problem (or at least it was with my first pregnancy). When I wasnt nauseated, I just wanted to eat salty carbs nonstop.
I made the mistake of weighing myself this morning, I am starting this pregnancy almost 10 lbs heavier than where I was with DD. So I need to be mindful.

This is me too! I'm starting this pregnancy heavier than when I started with DS.
I guess there's nothing I can do about it now except continue exercising and trying to eat as healthy as possible.
Add me to club of still carrying previous weight. I've still got 8 of the 45lbs I gained with DD stuck to me. Need to be very food conscious this time around.

My work is right next to a 7-11 My problem is that I'm so hungry, I've worked through all the food I packed today and it's only 1:23! I probably can scrounge something healthy-ish from my desk drawer though.
I also missed my workout. I was up almost the entire night with DD, there was just no gas in my tank. I'd like to run tonight but it's rainy and I can't find my waterproof ipod.

Nice work. I love yoga With Adrienne!
Add me to the Adriene fan club! It took me 2 months to get through the 31 Day Revolution that she did in January, but I loved it.
I just got back from the gym. Only 45 on the treadmill. I'm trying to do more yoga and get back into a better Barre routine now that DS is done with T/Th swim class.
cnf2013, I could have sworn I got a notification that you sent me a PM re: Hello Fresh. It is very possible that in my nausea stupor last night, I imagined it. But if not, would you mind PMing me again? Sorry! I was just about to send it when I realized I can't find it.
I just did the Let it Go Flow from Adriene's Youtube channel...did I mention already today that I love her?
Goals: Get in a few runs and a few yoga workouts. This was my 2nd yoga workout of the week, but no running yet (I start my week on Monday.) So likely the running will max out at 3 (I do after school runs with DS in the stroller during the week and get out by myself on the weekends...I try to do every other day or so). I am definitely getting more tired in the evenings already.
NSV: I have given up sweets for Lent, with one cheat a week (I know there are different approaches to the idea of "cheats" during Lent...). This is actually a huge victory that I've been able to stick with it for a week. I'm a major sugar addict. My cheat last weekend was a cookie. My mom said "A cookie? As in one?" but it was a Panera Kitchen Sink cookie, which are huge. I even shared it with DS and DH. I think I've already figured out this weekend will be a Blizzard from DQ. I can talk about sweets all day long!
Glad to see there are a couple of other runners in the group too. I used to be way into it, but while we have young kids, I am backing off and will get back to it once they get a little older! I can get by on 10mpw or so.

Don't let young kids hold you back if it's something you're passionate about! I ran a marathon in October at only 10.5 months postpartum. Even with littles, it's doable.
What running stroller do you have? E loves going for runs, which definitely helps.

cnf2013, congrats on the marathon, wow! and @thatgolfbitch, on your half! and esgrunner, for your yoga today.
I ran a half a couple years ago at Disney World and it was awesome, but not something I want to keep up with. I will run a 10k race every once in awhile if someone asks because it's easy enough to do without much training. I'll probably run a bit more as the weather improves, but there are other things I'd rather do in the winter.
Thanks ladies! @thatgolfbitch I never said I finished well, lol. I almost DNF'ed at mile 14, walked to mile 16 where there was a turn around and found my friend who was doing course support. She gave me clementine and base salts, which is really the only reason I survived.
Yeah, cnf2013, I know i *could* do more running, it just wouldn't be good. I get, um, a little neurotic (DH would say that word is a generous description) about training and I want my post-baby debut back into marathoning to be a good one! I'm not ready to put in the training hours away from the kids until they are older and have more of their own stuff going on. Also, we had a non-sleeper for the first 17 months and now it is still spotty, so the possibility of interrupted training due to lack of sleep would make me absolutely crazy.

That does make a lot of sense. I started most of my long training runs at like 530am so I could be done early and not lose family time. It was difficult, especially because E is an on and off sleeper.
I'm just impatient and needed something of my own to help me feel normal again postpartum.
