Do your babies like their swing?
DS never liked ours and now DD seems to dislike it too. I can't decide if I have a crappy swing or just kids who want to be held ALL the time and hate any baby contraption, ha.
My friend's talk about their babies going into the swing and the motion putting them to sleep. Is this your experience too?
B hates the mamaroo. He loves the swing, but only on the back and forth setting, not the side to side one. I can put him in it when he starts to show tired signs and it'll put him to sleep. He's also pretty mellow though and will be fine with being placed on the floor on a mat or in the mamaroo (off) just to chill and sit.
My DD liked the swing for only about a month, and only on the side to side setting.
We have a bouncy seat and she loves it. It moves when you move it and vibrates. She will sleep longish stretches in it. Best $15 consignment deal ever.

I think DS1 liked his snugabunny swing. He'd hang out in it awake and sometimes fall asleep. W doesn't seem to mind the mamaroo unless he wants to be held or nursed. I don't know that's he's fallen asleep in it much but he transfers to it well.
It's hit or miss for us, but I'd say he likes it more often than not
This. Most of the time it's the only place we can transfer her to during the day for her to stay asleep. The other day she preferred the pack n play (off) over the swing, so it's hit or miss. She will not fall asleep in it if she's out in it awake
Meh? Sometimes she'll sit in it for 10 minutes or so, but I'm debating whether it's really worth all the space it takes up. DD1 haaaated it and would just scream, so I figure at least this is a little better?
ETA: my SIL gave us her bjorn bouncer when DD1 was a baby, and that has been both girls' preferred spot. That said, neither would/will sleep in that or the swing.
This is where I am at. Why do I have this giant thing in my family room if she's just meh about it? The room is already exploding with toddler toys.
I think lll give it a few more weeks before I decide. Sadly this kid spends a lot of time in her carseat as we go to DS activities or run errands. She takes her best naps there, ha!
That's us too weeklyplanner. Bs first nap of the day is in his car seat as I drop off DD at daycare. It's almost to the point where he sees the thing and he falls asleep. 😬

Haha, yes! In the hectic mornings, if I see she's getting sleepy, I plop her in her carseat and she gets calm and starts to doze off. It amazes me how she sleeps through me screaming "Find your shoes! Where's your coat? Come here so I can brush your teeth!" Haha

Are you me? I'm pretty sure you're me. Lol.
This conversation reminds me about what they said at my mothercare group this week. They said ftms, hold this baby, enjoy holding this baby, because the 2nd baby does not get held like this while you're chasing around a toddler.

Yep. DD was in arms 99% of the time. Poor B gets so neglected sometimes on his mat or in the rnp (or just about anywhere safe) while I'm toddler wrangling. I even feel like if I hold him too much he gets fussy and thinks I'm trying to get him to nap. 😬

So, the last few days, DD has drifted off to sleep in her swing. All I do is give her a paci, turn on the sleep sheep sound machine and walk away. She's just like those unicorn babies my friends speak of that motivated me to make this thread. I have no clue how long this will last, but I'm riding it out! It's so hard to rock her to sleep with DS around. So the swing is helping to fill the void.
