I get my ultrasound in a few hours!! My doctor likes to do a 30 week ultrasound, and he switches to 3d/4d to peek at the little guys face. Super excited, I hope he cooperates! What is everyone else up to today? Also is anyone else feeling queasy again? Never had this happen in the 3rd trimester, but it has been for a few weeks now, so not from eating something bad.
I had a 34wk growth check ultrasound last time around (I'm tall with a long torso so I present as very small visually). But probably won't have one this time around as long as weight and fundal height measurements are on target.
Meanwhile, realizing I have about 2 months left! No one believes me though when I tell them I'm 7 months pregnant and due at the beginning of May...
H is out of town for work today, flew to Florida last night and comes home tomorrow. He's been sending me pictures of palm trees, jerk lol!
I've also been pretty productive this morning, which is exhausting because I feel like I get out of breath just getting off the couch! The next three months seem light years away.
sagen I've been feeling queasy lately too. Not fun.
I got caught by DS eating a Creamsicle last night. He came out of his room an hour after we put him to bed and caught me red handed. He's exhausted today and started crying at drop off . Hopefully he's not too much of a wreck.

sagen, I have been queasy, too. My coffee doesn't taste good again and I'm stuggling drinking water. I didn't have this happen in 3rd tri with DD but this time it is rough.
jennyelf, I'm short but I also have a long torso so I don't look like I'm due at the beginning of May either. Baby just has more room to spread out. With DD, I never got the "OMG, you look like you're ready to have that baby now!" reactions that so many people do and with this one, I still have people do a double-take trying to figure out if I'm pregnant or not.

I am already dreading the time change this weekend. DD has pushed her bedtime to almost 9pm in the past few months (thanks, H) so come Sunday night, she's not going to want to go down until 10pm. I already hate DST so add in to that a 3 year old who won't want to go to bed and it's gonna suck.

Woohoo passed my glucose test!!! I'm super psyched! I didn't know it yet but was celebrating this morning with free pancakes at IHOP! Yay national pancake day lol.
I've also been more iffy with food lately and some days not much sounds appealing. I'm also relying a lot more on zantac to keep food down and heartburn at bay! Oh third trimester! 😉

Apparently my problem with food is that I'm not quite eating enough of it. With the compressed stomach, smaller meals are better, but that also means that I'm not getting enough calories either since I'm not really eating more frequently. I've found myself quite dizzy feeling at the end of the day recently. So now I'm trying to remember to snack a bit.

Yay for passing your GTT, rosesquared! Pancakes sound like a perfect celebration breakfast!
N40Mom, H and I used to do DD's bedtime routine together before I got pregnant. It used to last 1/2 hr to 45 min and she was asleep by 8-8:15. Once I because pregnant and exhausted, going to bed at 7:30-8., H took over and it has been downhill since. He is the biggest pushover when it comes to DD and she uses that to her advantage. Her bedtime routine is now 1 1/2 hrs! I keep telling him he needs to rein it in before DS is born but he just won't. He has created a monster!

Question for STMs: at how many weeks did you pack your hospital bag? I know some are talking about it already but many of you are having babies late April/early May when I'll still be cooking lol. So when do I really need to think about this?

rosesquared, I think I started packing mine around 36w with DD. For some reason, MH thinks I should start packing now at 31w but I'll probably wait until early April. I have started buying some things that I know I'll need, like socks with treads, a nursing nightgown/robe, and Carmex (my lips got sooo chapped in the hospital and it was the only thing that helped.)
I'll probably pack at 36 weeks. I'm giving birth at a center, and if I go into labor before that, it's the hospital for me, and the hospital will provide pretty much everything I need.
+1 for packing around 36 weeks last time. This time I'll do it earlier because of the high probability I'll go into labour before then but I need to wash the baby clothes first and our nursery needs to be finished before I do that...

I'm trying to figure out what to do about newborn pics. We did the hospital ones with DD. They weren't great but they were convenient, though they were a lot more expensive than I expected. But I'm worried that we're too late in finding a newborn photographer that is available at this point. Why do I procrastinate so much?
Yeah for passing the glucose test, and boo about all those who are queasy too :/ I pack my bag at 36 weeks
That little turkey of mine had both his arm and foot in front of his face! I got to catch glimpses of him on the 3D/4D, he looks pretty cute! I see the doctor this Thursday and the tech said she will ask if they can try to look again and see if they can get a better picture, so fingers crossed we do and he cooperates. Here is a funny picture that shows just what a ball he is in, his foot was touching his nose. 3lbs, and looking healthy, the tech said he already has hair!! Oh and he was bunched into the placenta, that is also what is touching his face.
Last time I packed pretty early, at like 31 or 32 weeks. This time I'll probably wait until 35ish rosesquared
We had a follow up appointment for C today with her ophthalmologist. He said that he's seeing a lot more control over her crossing and that he's comfortable with waiting on surgery rather the scheduling it now so that was a huge relief. Although, he did prescribe some drops to use on her eye that would make her eye that isn't crossing blurry so she's forced to use the one that's crossing. He said they do this if patching doesn't work (which it didn't really work, C was terrified). But I'm really not liking the idea of using these drops. Her vision in one eye would be blurred for a couple days and we're supposed to do them twice a week.
sleepymonkey I would probably try for a newborn photographer if you know the hospital ones aren't that great. I wish you were closer, I'd totally send my sister or SIL your way! They take great newborn pictures

tortor4, my problem with the hospital ones is that they use a professional photographer but she's bound to the confines of the hospital room as a backdrop so the results weren't great. I think I'll see if I can find a good photographer who has an opening in early May but if not, I'll just default to the hospital pics.

I'm so sleepy lately. DS is down for his nap so I should be productive, but my butt seems to be glued to the couch. I'll at least throw the clothes in the washer into the dryer.
Since H is out of town I got myself a fancy frozen pizza that I know he would never eat and I'm so excited for it. I'm waiting until after DS goes to bed so that I can really enjoy it....and eat on the couch.

Hi all! Apologies for the wave of LT notifications coming your way as I catch up. The last few days have been crazy, and I've been dealing with some heavy anxiety. Had a last-minute OB appointment this morning, and we have a plan for tackling it that has me feeling a lot better. And it appears I passed the GTT!
Congrats on passing it too rosesquared! Good question about the hospital bag. The teacher at our childbirth class said to be ready to go by 37 weeks, so I'll probably do mine around 35/36 weeks (so end of April).
tortor4, good luck! I can understand not wanting to do the drops :\ But I hope if you use them that they help.
