MH and I both have Irish blood (him more than me), so we celebrate by making these delicious corned beef sliders. Sometimes we have a corned beef lunch at work. I hate cabbage, but I will eat all the potatoes and carrots. I'll wear green and put the boys in green. I have a onesie for G already. I don't know what I'm going to put N in. I also have a shamrock wreath on my front door.
I also have many coworkers at the same stage of life. When I was pregnant with N, there were 4 other women expecting at the same time. Babies were born from April to January. My work BFF and I were pregnant for a short overlapping time last year, and now we commiserate about crappy sleep. It's definitely great to be able to bounce things off of women in that same stage of life.

The biggest struggle I face at work is that since I'm the only one out of 10 people in my group who has kids, I think a lot of times they often wonder about when I have to miss work because of the kids, whether it's because they are sick or have something going on with school, etc. I'll admit that before I had kids I kind of thought "that's crap" that people got to miss work for this stuff but obviously now I get it. My boss is generally very cool about it thank goodness but I know he does get frustrated at times as well.

Yeah someone without kids is going to 100% be judgy about it. Same thing if someone has BF getting aggravated about pumping. It's human nature to just be unsympathetic unless you've gone through something. At least for most people.
Pumping at work. Being up until midnight with those storms about did me in.
I suggested to the Kindergarten teacher we bring back nap time today. I offered to supervise.
I wish this still exists!! And bring play centers too while you're at it. It's all academics now.
I know it's kind of sad. They start their day with 15 minutes on a math program and I help our in one of the rooms. The teacher we talking about a boy having trouble and said 'he just won't focus on his tablet.' We both all of a sudden realized how backwards that sounded. These kids should be doing imaginative play and learning social skills, not learning math from a tablet.
