We've decided that I look for names, and DH chooses from my list, partly because he has really weird taste in names and I don't like 'out there' names.
You see how George and Ford would be an issue paired with DS's name though, right? And Harriet is basically a combo of both of their names, which could be weird.

This was a fun puzzle, I figured out your DS's name, haha
@thatgolfbitch I love your taste in names! My all-time favorite girl name is Lucille (after DH's maternal grandmother) Patricia (after my maternal grandmother) and I think Lucy for a nn is so cute. DH doesn't really like it though so unless I can convince him we will have to go with something else.
As I said yesterday, I like the name Calvin for a boy but that's not set in stone either. We would probably do a middle name after someone in DH's family since since DS shares a middle name with my dad.

Ours are a bit random, but the ones we've talked about the most are Rui for a boy (it's Portuguese) and Jordana for a girl (umm, from Jordana Brewster). Also, we went to a place called Jordan river on the day of my IUI.

LOL It does sort of read like an ACT word problem. I'm just trying to keep you guys on your toes to help prevent the steady decline of pregnancy brain😉

My brain totally doesn't get it - I've been trying to figure it out LOL

We're set on James for a boy, always have been. MN has waffled around. Girl this time we can't agree. I LOVE Madeleine or Alice, but H has vetoed both. He hasn't given any serious suggestions though, just joke ones. I know we have lots of time, but if you're going to say, "No, no, no, no..." to all of mine, at least respond with something you're legitimately considering. I'll definitely be perusing the boards for good name suggestions. I'm blanking otherwise!
Last time around DS didn't have a name until his 2nd day of life. We had a girl name all set but, of course, it was a boy. I would have loved to use our girl name this time if we end up with a girl however our good friends used our girl name and my cousin and his wife used it as their middle name (it is our grandmother's name). So I guess we start from ground zero. We probably won't even discuss it until after we know the sex, although I always have a running list. We will do early screening so should know the sex by about 13 or 14 weeks.
I think we are going to go with the name Wren. Boy or girl. I know that I love it for a girl, and I think I do for a boy too. Only, I can't think of a single MN for it. Also, I may change my mind completely, but right now that's what I'm going with.
Here are my lists. They're a combo of names I've liked on the Baby Name app and names I like in the wild. There are a lot right now. DH still won't talk about them until we know the sex, so I have no sounding board to edit.
Boys- Russell Jonah Ferris Sullivan Jasper Theodore/Theo/Teddy Jude Felix Peter Adam Alexander Seth Patrick Ashley/Ash George Robin Arthur Louis Henry Archie Simon Oscar August Hugh Grant Malcolm Ari Hugo Samuel Calvin Archer Remington Milo Crosby Gus Leo Edd/Eddy
Girls- Maeve Penelope Phoebe Mae Violet Margret Daphne Hazel Holly Harlow Natalie Madeline Ada Lena Mira Hollis Lucy Harriet Matilda/Tilda Iris Robin Margot Elise
I think we solidified our girl name last night- Cora Clementine. It just makes my heart happy.
I love the name Cora. My grandmother's name was Corrinne so if I ever have a girl, her middle name will be Corrinne. But I've considered it as a first name.

We like Nolan Scot for a boy (misspelled middle name courtesy of DH's misspelled first and middle names). For a girl, we are thinking Laurel Grace. All the women on MILs side have "L" names, but MH only has a brother and a male cousin, so the tradition ended. In a weird coincidence, SIL and I both have "L" names. So I'd like to continue the tradition. But L names are hard! I'm the 5th generation of Grace as a MN, so definitely passing that on.
