Who the hell leaves the country voluntarily for a month for any reason with a toddler and a very pregnant wife at home?? Military or other required work, family emergency, obviously you do what you have to do. Absolutely fucking not to a yoga trip. The female traveling companion is just an additional slap in the face.
lawandorder I have a hard time not judging lateness too. Maybe she is meeting with a divorce attorney before work? I can't believe that situation.
Right?!?! I was telling H about it, and he was like "If you ever did that to us, I hope you plan on coming home to all your things in suitcases out front!"

elenetxu I'm so afraid DH is going to eat all the GS cookies. I hid a box of thin mints because those are my favorite. I can only eat like 2 a day, so I'm afraid he is just going to outpace me.
I briefly considered divorce the day I found out he had polished off the cookies my mom had made me.

elenetxu, preach! Most days I don't even recognize myself. I think about my life before DS and I can't even believe that was me. This shit is real and life-changing, and way harder than I ever imagined.
My confession is that I hate hotels. I can't eat in hotel rooms, I will only shower if 100% necessary and it is only recently that I've been able to sleep in hotels without lying awake for hours being majorly skeeved out.
And I cried at a bar last night because I miss Em.
Yeah I do drop off/pick up by myself and it's hard but... not THAT hard. Get your shit together the night before, get up before the kid if possible, do everything you need to do in the morning, THEN get the kid up and leave. Boom. Does she have an arrangement with her boss that you don't know about? Maybe the kid's DC starts late?
FFFC: over my dead body would be the only way DH would be on a month long vacation with another woman.
No arrangement with the boss. They have a nanny that comes to the house. *shrugs*
Okay, at first I wasn't judging her. The fact that the nanny goes to the house, now has me judging her.

I ordered a misto made with heavy cream and one pump of chocolate this afternoon. It is like drinking heaven in a mug. Because heaven is full-fat.
Me, once, years ago, to my bestie "I'm having such a great morning. It's weird - I swear even my yogurt tastes better. ... wait a minute... *digs yogurt container out of trash* IT WAS A WHOLE FAT YOGURT!"
I've seen the video of the kids busting in on the dad's videoconference shared a billionty times today and I still don't think it's funny.
agree. the dad looked pissed to me. if it were me i would've just picked the kid up and made light of it rather than trying to shove the kid backwards (like putting off your kid like that when they want your attention ever actually works).

Meh. I thought it was funny from the perspective that kids will find you wherever you are. Dad probably was embarrassed and annoyed, and honestly I probably would have been upset too if I had been in the middle of a national news broadcast interview (not pissed at the kids, but definitely peeved at whomever was supposed to be watching them). But I think that woman has mad ninja skills and that made me laugh. And I don't think he was pushing his kid to be mean or shove them aside like he didn't care. More like trying to get them out of site of the camera and back towards the door. I would have just gotten up and taken them to the door, but I think this poor dad would be getting flamed no matter how he reacted. I mean, he was obviously caught off guard. Not everyone is going to automatically laugh and shrug off something like a national interview because their kids interrupt.

Oh my god I cannot stop laughing at how hilarious the toddler was when he/she (can't remember if it was a boy or girl at the moment) initially entered the room. And then the baby in the walker. It's such a hilarious disaster.
The dad annoyed me but I just find the situation as a whole pretty damn funny.
It's just one of those situations that barely EVER happens, and it was supposed to be such a serious interview and a crazy toddler comes dancing into the room and then it just goes even more downhill in hilarious fashion.
I couldn't stop laughing. I thought the Dad even seemed to have a chuckle during it, while still trying to maintain a serious interview. The toddler was hilarious though. 😂

Dh has asked that no one use his Flonase because it is gross to share. He keeps his separate from DS's.
I only use DH's when I need it. I could give to craps about germs and shared boogers. We make out when we are sick, please. I wipe it off and go on wth my day.
Maybe the dad wasn't wearing a full suit and had on pj pants and that's why he didn't get up? That's what I would do if I WFH... Anyway I didn't even notice the dad until it was pointed out here. After re-watching I agree he's uptight, but I have no idea what I'd do if I was on TV and that happened. The toddler and the baby in the walker though. And mom army crawling back in to close the door. Can't stop laughing.
Why do you assume it's a nanny? From what I've read it was his wife.
I also didn't think he looked angry or upset. A bit annoyed sure but I think it's understandable for him to be annoyed in that situation.
He seemed really agitated to me? Maybe I need to watch again. I also don't know why I assumed nanny, but!
Meh I'm agitated any random moment of the day with my kids. I'm sure a camera could catch a moment of me looking like a total asshole that could go viral in an instant.

The baby rolling in on the walker was amazing.
YES. Just a continuing downward spiral of child shenanigans.
It's right up there for me with the video where the little sister has her wisdom teeth out and she's still out of it after and her older brothers convince her it's the zombie apocalypse.
I feel like that video personifies all parents when they try to make a phone call, work or not. You can tell them immediately before to not bother you, but they'll just come sauntering in like no big deal. LOL!
