Rugger I totally had that experience too. Telling myself to breathe. It can't get lost. Wondering if I was gonna need assistance. Bearing down and relaxing helped a lot. So did sitting on the toilet vs squatting. If it's not easier this month I may look for a longer cup.
Did you try bearing down on it with your pelvic floor muscles? If you bear down, you can get the end of the cup to come closer to your grasp.
Yeah that definitely helped.
Do you think it'd be easier when it's more full/heavier?
I don't find a difference with it being full or not. I do notice that my cup rides higher at the end of my cycle because my cervix moves up. It sounds like you might have a high cervix? I'm by no means an expert, but I'm guessing that's a possibility. There are charts you can find online that detail different cups and their sizes that might help you find a better one.

Yeah,I was kinda thinking maybe that was a possibility. I'll try again on and off this cycle, but if it doesn't get easier, I might try looking at those charts.
I think I'm just super worried about scratching myself and causing an infection.

I had to do this today - in a public bathroom with A standing there going "what are you doing with your hand?! momma, what is that? what's your hand doing?" pretty great. I am now convinced my cervix is really high b/c I could barely touch the end of the stem with my middle finger. I'm so glad I brought a backup pad to use and a water bottle to rinse off the cup.
I think I'll be returning the Lena cup and trying the Diva size 2

rugger, I know some people here have had shared "meh" Diva experiences, but I have been using a Diva size 2 since E was born in 2009 and I love it. No issues.
THanks CurlieWhirlie, that's good to know! I retook the quiz from above and it recommended Diva size 2. And I looked at their fancy cup size chart and it's one of the longest models out there, so I'm hoping it fits.
