lindsay - What cool gifts did you get at the sprinkle? What do you still need to prepare for the twins?
bazingaa - That's so awkward. I had a falling out with a friend years ago as well, and she reached out via FB out of the blue one day... I told her to kick rocks. Diff. because there was no tragedy so I didn't mind telling her to suck it. In your case, really, really awkward she would reply at all, even if she did just see the message.
Candy is not incentive to poop over here because the grandparents be like here ya go🍦🍬🍡🍭🍨🍪🍩🍫
Lol. I was going to say tho, have you considered a reward chart for C? We started a poo-poo chart for N. She gets to put a sticker on it for every poop, once she gets 10 we said we would let her get a toy from target (probably just take her to the dollar spot). My kid absolutely loves target it's crazy. So she is fairly motivated to get the stickers on that chart.
We tried that like 3 months ago at daycare. Made absolutely so little difference that the stickers were sent back home by the teacher at the end of two weeks.
chrispy1122 I haven't been impressed with what I've heard about AAK, at least on this side of town. They do have cameras in rooms, but we had parents coming to us and telling us about the craziest things happening over there. They also follow a pre fab curriculum that teachers don't have much control to tailor to their students. There are two Goddard Schools near Mason. One has a much better director than the other and that makes a huge difference. I'll try to remember which is which. Primrose of course has a great program and I love the director at Snider Rd, but it is frustrating that they didn't tell you about their lack of openings. I'm happy to help you vet nannies. I understand his anxiety, but there are really great ones out there.
Thanks dogmama22! That's really good to know about AAK. I have an appointment with Goddard this week but they don't have openings until end of July. I really love primrose and the snider location is so convenient to my house. I'm super bummed I couldn't get it to work.
Any tips on nannies and questions we should ask would be great. Do you mind if I PM you to make sure that the pay/benefits Im thinking of offering are fair and consistent with the area?
She definitely knew the message was old because she said she didn't know how she was just seeing it. My curiosity won't allow me to ignore. I just don't know what to say quite yet.

becole she knows the feeling I think she doesn't like putting it in potty she hates the feeling. Maybe it's privacy I'll ask her she did tell my H she would like books and the door closed we're just afraid of what she'll do in there lol.
sstwinklinglites lots of diapers, but will obviously need LOTS of diapers haha. I got some cute matching outfits and bibs, some BFing things like mother's love, storage bags, and breast milk pads, and got a crib! We have been given some double equipment items which is super helpful.
I need to make a list of things we still might need. I'm thinking I'll need some more zipper or Velcro swaddles cuz I only had a 2 pack with DD. I also need to figure out the sleeping situation for the first few months- like how long can I have them both in a PnP next to my bed before I need to separate them due to rolling over? Def don't have space for the 2 PnPs in our room.
I also think I wanna figure out how to tandem wear them in ring slings. I have one RS, so I'm possibly thinking about getting a second one. Even if I don't tandem wear a lot, H could wear one and I could wear the other babe. My Friend at church tandem wears her twins every Sunday and makes it look easy.

Is it sad that A hasn't been to Target in months like she may not know what it is .... oops did you make a chart or buy one ... maybe I'll try that for poop.

She's young and it just takes time. If you can figure out her currency, that's great. Some kids are super quick and some take time. Pee training was instant for us, poop has always been a struggle. At first it was not giving himself enough time to get there, then it was a control issue, then it was FOMO and not wanting to quit playing... Its always something.

ew, just logged into my health insurance website to see if any US claims were on there. It was TBD on how insurance would process them with twins (with charging once or twice) whenever I asked the OBs billing. All charges are x2. The level 2 US was an astounding amount, like $2200 total! WAT.
Anyway looks like we will have no problem hitting our max OOP this year.
Huggies all the way. Except pull ups. I like pampers pull ups, but what I love even more is the Kroger brand equivalent of the pampers pull ups. They are super cheap and really nice. I don't like their Huggies pull up equivalent, but the pampers one is where it's at.

Pampers 100%. Huggies were the absolute worse. When I use sposies now we use Target Brand and haven't had any issues, but when I tried Target, Luvs, etc., when he was a baby, they were all a disaster.
Thanks for mentioning, I'll need to research it and figure out how to do this. Open to any suggestions. I've heard iffy things about the twin PnP
If you need another sleep surface, I have a summer infant bassinet you can borrow. I'm trying to see if I can sell it, but if they won't take it then you are welcome to borrow. It's got a wood frame and motion but it's kinda hard to move around but it's a really solid piece of furniture. I also have a small Fischer price swing that you are welcome to just have. I was going to try and sell but doubt I'll get much for it. I kinda just want stuff out of my house at this point.

I have a pack n play you could borrow. I don't anticipate needing it anytime soon. Would definitely want back when you are done though. I have one of those with the infant area. I dunno what it's called. Looks like this one, with the little napper area and then the option to have the rest elevated vs on the ground.

Mondays are busy really busy for me, but I've been trying to pass out LT's. I start classes today, so that will be... fun. All of my classes are online so I'll have a lot of reading to do but at least I don't have to worry about commuting this semester.

My last couple years at college I took most of my classes online. The amount of reading is a PITA, but completely worth it to me as to not have to deal with commuting. There's a lot to be said about being in a classroom though.
