Work is slow, so I put together a registry so I can get the extra 15 % off of some big items. There were some random things I didn't initially think about but I will probably need, like new pacifiers, more bottles, some stroller accessories for all the extra stuff I'll be hauling

Just keep receipts and boxes because my second is different than the first in preferences- different pacis and bottles than the first liked. And things I had to have lots of with DS1 like burpcloths and swaddles, I don't use at all with #2. Even shampoo, etc... the first could only use a certain kind- second one has no skin issues so far. This baby also gets a bath like 1/2 of what DS1 did at this age though too. Honestly it's like having your first kid all over again in some things- you just have to get to know them.
ETA: #2 also preferred to lay flat so even the rnp I borrowed went unused. I also used the swing with DS1 daily for 8 months and have barely used it since maternity leave and I'm about to put it away.

What registry gives you 15% off lol -- ?
I was just telling H we need new nipples for the bottles --- what's your go to bottle ?
Guise season finale of the bachelor tonight!! Who is your pick becoleJoBub ? Anyone else..? I already read a spoiler so I'm not going to say anything
I think Nick is such a dud. I was actually kind of rooting for Corinne because I think the other girls are too good for him. I think it's pretty obvious that it's not going to work out with Vanessa. But maybe they're just trying to make it obvious so it'll be more of a surprise. I don't know. I guessed Raven in the fantasy game.
What's a fair price for dog-sitting? Like per day. I should add that my dog is a real pain in the ass and the dog sitter reported that she barfed a lot.

I feel like the vet boarding is around $25/day. I would think that someone coming to my house once a day or whatever is cheaper.

lindsay I wouldn't know what to sell that bassinet for, little sprouts didn't want it bc they said they don't sell. I'm going to call ouac and if they don't want it, then honestly you can just have it. Seriously I would probably end up donating just to make room, I'll let you know.

becole I was thinking about pt'ing again. How does C do at school? What age range of kids are in his room? N was having accidents at home, but the first week we took her in underwear to school she did so good. It could have been the teachers, the fact the other kids were doing it or she could have just been ready, idk. She has had some accidents arill but I was surprised by how she took to it at school compared to at home.

She came and picked up Josie and took her to her house for the 3 days. And listened to her bark and cleaned up barf off her floors and let her sleep in her bed all weekend.
mominthemaking14 target does 15% off and you can combine that with coupons. I believe Amazon does 10% off, I think it's more if you sign up or have prime maybe.
Bottles, idk, we used medela and tommy tippee with DD. It didn't seem like she cared one way or another. Will be interesting if the twins are more particular, esp bc bottle feeding could be more likely with them. Hoping to BF as much as possible though, hopefully supply will be good. Pumping for 2 will be interesting too..

Gosh, then I would probably pay $25/day. Sounds like Josie was kinda a pita.

He started in underwear at school and home in September. He was peeing in the potty all the time but having poop accidents at school. Typically, H and I could get him to poop at home. I hate to say that girls are easy and boys just are not... because I know he's just as capable. But based on the PT board in May- it seems most of the boys are still struggling. This is true of his daycare class as well. I think 1 out of the 5 boys is totally trained and in underwear. The teacher even said if we could get the other boys to all go together- then C would probably be 100% trained. But she said that one of the moms said her son was completely trained before starting daycare (he's new in the 2 yr room) and now he has accidents. The two other boys are in pull ups and aren't even pee trained. On the other hand she said many of the girls have been sent in underwear and been trained fully in a week or so. Some never even had an accident. I would say from Sept - Dec I was having to wash about one pair of poop undies per day at school and 0 at home. There are 15 kids and 2 teachers that are age range 2.5-3 in his room. The boys don't want to miss out playing- they are a big click. So if even one of them refuses to go potty or even try, all of them refuse to go (according to the teacher.) C has even said to us "I go poop on the playground with ___". Daycare has been our PT nemesis from the beginning. And he was in another room at 2 and that teacher said it was normal and just keep sending him in undies. He started training way before most of the kids his age. I think the fact that none of his friends are doing it is really hindering him. So it's like if it's convenient, he'll poop in the potty or if he's one on one like with us or my parents. But if he can get away with it with 15 kids, he will.
Also he kept saying he really wanted a big super hero. I said he had to poop in the potty all week at school to get a super hero. I made the mistake of telling my parents that story. They sent me this picture while I was away at the wedding this weekend.
They are the worst/ best.
I was like wtf. Mom was like- "he went potty all weekend for us. You can't have everything."

I sold my FP bassinet for $45 at the consignment sale.

Ugh that is frustrating, I wonder how the other parents feel, they all need to get on board with pt'ing! DC was probably what worked for us in all honestly. I know my mom said I was easier than my brothers so I'm sure girls may be a little easier.

becole so they bought him those super heroes and the double bubble lol. Ugh grandparents.
Yes. And a gumball machine for the gum balls. Because a 2 yo needs gum balls. I'm never going to win. They absolutely do not care what I say. I was like- it's not Christmas a his birthday is not far away. That's not how we want to raise him. He got two other masks as well and Moana. It's really nice but it's so overboard. I think this is part of why rewards don't work for him. And he sees grandparents like 2-3 times/ month so this is regular spoiling. I'm proud he did well for them but it's also just expected that he do well with no reward. It's impossible to up the ante.

Honestly idk. Because the parents have to know they have to be PT by 3. And two of the other boys have May/ June birthdays so they're not far away. I have continual conversations with the teachers and directors. I have a feeling that some of the parents just send pull ups and think they'll just figure it out or they aren't going to start until 3. These boys are wild. They're all like C- just all over the place, very high energy and wrestling/ physical. I'm hoping they won't move them up until fall when the 5 yos go to kindergarten. Maybe they'll get serious this summer.

That is overboard geez. I'd be terrified to even give my kid gum, that just sounds like a nightmare. I didn't really want to go with rewards for pt'ing but she needed a little push and I figured a few m&m's wasn't the end of the world. Now I have to worry about weaning her off the reward. I don't offer it to after she goes now and I hope she eventually won't ask about getting an M&M, sometimes she'll forgets now so there's hope, maybe.

I wouldn't worry about it. At least it's not a gum ball and you're not cleaning up poop.

That's what we did too. Once E started getting the hang of it, I just conveniently started forgetting to give them to her. Eventually we didn't have any M&Ms anyway and I would suggest that we do a dance party, read a book, or continue what we were doing anyway. We got a few tantrums, but after not too long no M&Ms needed.

They invite people who participated in the last sale first. If there are extra spots, they open it up and usually post it on their FB site. If anyone is interested, I can give you a heads up when I get the next email asking for participants.
