This week is mh's last week of work before he starts his new job. He'll have two weeks off. I'm so excited! I've been mentally preparing my honey-do list, things I want to do without kids, and family activities.
I'm seeing conflicting reports about the snow storm. I've seen 5-8, 8-20, rain & snow, just snow...who knows!
Circle time and groceries are on deck for this morning.
I'm in the 12-20" range for snow tomorrow. Prepping myself for daycare being closed. Ugh. I can't wait for spring.
We resorted to co-sleeping last night. B still didn't get down until 9:30, and fussed on and off over the night, but he only did one feed at 2:30 when he really woke up. I'm hoping when he's over this cold and potential leap he'll go back into his bassinet without much trouble. 😔
No plans for today for me. Maybe a target run to pick up some party supplies and favors for DDs bday party in 2 weeks.
Today's motto is "if you want something done right, do it yourself". DD has learned to put her dirty clothes in the laundry hamper (yay). DH thought he would be helpful last night and throw in a load of laundry (yay). I found an exploded pull-up in the dryer today because DD threw it in the hamper and DH didn't catch it when he did he laundry (boo).

No snow for us, thank the lord, sorry for those dealing with it tho. Baby has had thrush for 2 weeks now, I'm so frustrated with it and why I can't get it to go away, even tho we've been applying the nystatin 4x a day. I don't have any signs of it on my nips, at least I don't feel it. But I had a stubborn yeast infection for over a week, I think it's finally gone. I'm religiously sanitizing pacis. I also started religiously cleaning my nips after feedings and applying the motherlove thrush cream. Anyone deal with thrush and have tips for me??
Pretty sure Mh broke the baby yesterday. He said she didn't really nap while I was gone. She was up more than usual last night and now she's a grump today. The kids had been having synconized naps the last few days. It was glorious! Now I'm sad and holding a baby during the toddler's nap. Sighs.

I'm watching reruns of 16 and Pregnant, I wish they would do updates on all these kids and where they are at now. Just can't imagine having a baby at 16.

We have survived strep. Thankfully the kids did not get sick although ds developed a weird ass rash. He has eczema so we thought it was just that but... looks weird so I'm taking him to pedi this afternoon. Anyways, met with my doctor today and he doubled my Zoloft (I have been on it for years). I will also be going back on my ADHD meds because the help me manage my anxiety as well.
Aside from that, I've finally unpacked our suitcases and am just checking shit off my to do list! I will be catching up on missed threads asap!
vlagroupie, so sorry about the thrush. No tips, just *hugs*
heybulldog56, I'm glad you met with the dr, hopefully the adjustments help!
So, yesterday C slept through most of breakfast at my girlfriends house then an hour each way and 2 hours at the viewing. I suspected she slept too much and expected a rough night. Did not expect a 4 hour wakeup. I need all the coffee. We are in the snowpocalypse region somewhere between "supremely fucked" and "see you in July." As such I'm out with all the other crazy people because we don't have a case of water in the house and we expect power loss. We have a generator but it's not hooked up to the well pump. All I care about is that it's hooked to the deep freezer so I don't lose any of my itty bitty freezer stash of breast milk. I would cry if I did because it takes me so long to pump.
I hope you don't lose power pibblemom but at least you have the generator for piece of mind. I lost power a couple times when ds was a baby and was so close to a panic attack each time. I had this ridiculous anxiety induced plan that if the power was off for a set length of time I would put my stash in a cooler and drive it to my inlaws.
I agree peaseblossom55. Any chance the traffic is extra bad because if people freaking out about the snow and trying to get to the store last minute?
She never showed or responded my text. I'm so upset. My first choice never got back to me about scheduling either. So now I guess I have to move on to my third and 4th choice but I didn't like them as much.

That's so frustrating! I hope something works out for you soon so you don't have to stress as much about it.

peaseblossom55, that really sucks. I hope she at least gets back to you to apologize and offer an explanation. I would be supremely annoyed and disappoint.
I will be thinking of all of you during the storm! We are expecting anywhere from sleet to 5 inches. So I guess we won't really know till it's over! A lot of stuff has already closed, daycare included, so we'd better get something or I will be irritated.

Too late I am already in panic and anxiety mode about it. I would call my therapist but it's too late.

DST is wreaking havoc on our schedules around here. DS was yelling in his crib last night for almost an hour because he wasn't tired.
My hard won bedtime for N is now 11:30 instead of 10:30. The last two days she and I have gone back to bed until 10am. Which is fine because I'm rested but it's going to make getting to PPD group by 11 a challenge tomorrow.
Good wishes for everyone near the blizzard or having extreme weather.
Gah, the last few days have not been good here but I've been lurking and wanted to say stay safe to all of you about to be slammed by weather. Sounds awful and I've never experienced the kind of winter you're going through. Don't want to either!
peaseblossom55, I hope the nanny interviews work out soon.
I've been (over) packing all day and am just sitting down to relax before bed. Which means I probably won't get to bed or any sleep before Hs first wake up based on noises he's making over the monitor
weeklyplanner, WW question. I'm having trouble eating all of my points. I mean, I could easily drink them in wine every night but if I stick with healthy, whole foods, I struggle to get to 52. Would you mind sharing how you're splitting up your day? Today I did 6 for breakfast, 9 for lunch, 10 for dinner, 8 for snacks, and 4 for dessert (bc I can't live without dessert).
I had a few days like that, but then other days I'm hungry once I eat my points and I'm all out! Maybe try more points in your snacks?
Here's what I've been eating most days (I can't have dairy due to DD intolerance):
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs on a whole wheat English muffin of sandwich thin, 1tbsp ketchup, coffee with 1 tbs creamer
Snack: larabar (8-10 points depending on flavor)
Lunch: turkey breast sandwich, dinner leftovers or peanut butter on whole wheat sandwich thin or English muffin
Snack: trail mix packets (8 points)
Dinner:
Then usually at night I have a cup of frozen fruit as "dessert." If I'm drinking my points, my dinner is planned out to be less because...priorities, ha!
