Testing Plans: I have enough wondfos I might start early. 😶
Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: I'm so convinced I ovulated but my temperature won't rise. It jumped up a little but has stayed the same and is much lower than my typical post O temps. Can a change in outside temperature or DST affect BBT? Chart stalk if anyone would like: www.fertilityfriend.com/home/cconn

I'll play!
Cycle/month: 2
CD/DPO: 19/4
Timing: -5,-2,0
Testing Plans: Since I just ordered my Wondfos, they won't be here until Wednesday. But I'm thinking I might just wait to see if AF doesn't come when she's supposed to. I'm in Chicago on CD 28-29, and FF suggests CD 1 will be on Friday, 3/24. I figure if AF doesn't start then, I'll test on Saturday 3/25.
Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: I had random spells of low-grade fever on Friday and Saturday to the point where DH commented on how pale I looked. I felt fine, but that combined with the random left ovary twitches and pains is leading me on an irrational bout of symptom spotting. I'm all up in my head even though I can't imagine we're KU. Chart stalk if anyone would like.
QOTW:What is your favorite summer activity? I volunteer on Sunday mornings at our CSA farm and it's my favorite three hours of the week--hot, sweaty, and full of garden goodness.

Cycle/month: 1
CD/DPO: 17/3
Timing: -5,-4,-2,-1, 0
Testing Plans: I am going to pretend that I will wait until AF is supposed to show but that won't happen. I just need to at least get to the weekend.
Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: I feel like our timing was pretty dang good so we shall see. I had mucho cramping before, during, and even after ovulation. The joys of paying super close attention to my bod and picking apart every symptom or lack there of.
QOTW:What is your favorite summer activity? Swimming for sure. Lake, pool, stream. Doesn't matter.
Timing: -5 -4 -2 -1 and O if FF got my O date right. 🤔
Testing Plans: I'll be happy if I'm patient enough to wait until this weekend.
Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: This is the first month I've ever consistently temped, but I had a couple of nights right around O where I was up a lot with my kids and didn't ever get 3 consecutive hours of sleep. There was one bad night that seemed to be really throwing my chart off so discarded it and it finally gave me an O date that's a day earlier than I thought so I'm just going with it.
QOTW:What is your favorite summer activity? Sitting in a well air conditioned place haha. I'm really not a hot weather person and I'm still adjusting to Texas summers after living in CO my whole life.

veganontuesdays, I never thought I'd be a symptom spotter, but it seems like each day they just keep piling up: fever, twinges/cramps, then a strange metallic taste when I drink water today. Tried 3 different water fountains out of a ceramic mug... still tastes and smells like metal. It's going to be a LONG TWW...
Testing plans: i will test if my period is late (famous last words)
Rants, Raves, Chart Stalks: i've been mia lately. I've been waiting for a referral to an re for two months and it will probably be another month before i even get an appointment date (which will probably be another month or so later)
QOTW:What is your favorite summer activity? I love having bbqs!

I know I'm late to this, but I think you didn't ovulate until cd20 or 22. You can have multiple LH surges and I think that's what happened this cycle. You might continue using the opks until you get a temp spike from now on.

I did take a couple OPKs on like CD 19 and 20 and they were stark white. I have no idea. I hope I didn't ovulate that late because then I didn't hit any days.

Sorry you didn't hit any days then. But the CHs that you forced are almost certainly wrong.

I broke down and tested today like an idiot. There's a FFFC for the TWW thread. I am mentally slapping myself in the face. lol
I was going to post this morning to see if anyone had broken down and tested yet. My tests came Wednesday and I've been feeling like crap most of the week, so it's really have not to test. Sunday will be 10dpo, so if I break down, it won't be the end of the world. Next best case scenario would be waiting until I get home from Chicago in a week. Ideally, if AF doesn't come by 3/28, FF tells me that would be a good time to test.
I started at 6 dpo. I get that it was literally a waste of a test. At least it was just a cheap wondfo.
Is that your fake dpo? Because there is zero chance you're actually 6dpo this cycle.
Well, strangely FF gave me cross hairs today for the day that I had thought. Since that's the day they're giving me that's just what I'm going with since it was a pretty confusing chart this month. I could be misreading because the internet but you're coming across really snarky so I'm not sure what I've done to deserve that from you.

Lurker here (can't stop this dirty chartstalking habit)
I actually agree with @led on this one. Your chart doesn't look that confusing to me. I'd peg possible ovulation around CD 20 or 22. None of your temps really rose and stayed risen after the CH that are currently on your chart (however they got there). Sometimes FF is drunk and this definitely looks like one of those times. Max, I'd call you 4DPO today.
I know charting early in TTC is really frustrating and confusing (trust me, it took me a good, long while to figure it out, too), but try not to look too hard at anything yet. Even though you ovulated around CD15 last cycle, it can jump around until you regulate in 3-6 months after stopping birth control (or never, if you're anything like me. Thanks, body). So, CD20-22 isn't really that farfetched.
Regardless, good luck and hopefully if it didn't work out this cycle, you get some good results sooner rather than later. :)

You can ovulate without turning an OPK. There's a difference. But you didn't take one on CD21, which to me is the most likely day to have given you a positive.

Rama,I think it's super helpful that you more experienced chartstalkers hang around. I'm sure I'll have months where my chart confuses/frustrates/pisses me off and it'll be your wisdom that keeps me sane (although unhappy at times, I'm sure).

There are several reasons you might have negative OPKs before you ovulate. Your surge ended earlier than you tested (I've seen people ovulate up to 72 hours after their last positive test), the tests were defective (there were a bunch of Wondfo batches that were bad awhile ago, not sure if that's still happening), concentration of LH in urine was too low (diluted urine, basically), stuff like that. Also possible that, yeah, you just ovulated and never got a positive test. Has happened not infrequently around here. Bodies are weird. Weird little assholes.
Anecdote: Even after I started doing treatments, my OPKs were still barely faint lines near ovulation (scandal, I totally charted during treatment cycles. This is controversial-ish.), so I don't bank on them for anything. If they're positive, cool! If not, they don't hold much weight *FOR ME*. Because, hey, they're hit-or-miss (mostly miss) at best.
Which detection method do you have selected for FF? If it's on OPK, it'll weigh those more heavily and I'd recommend switching to FAM or, even better, Advanced. Advanced takes into consideration ALL of the data you put in and seems to have the best track record for giving the right CH most often.

I am always game for a chartstalk! Tag me in if you're ever confused! I'm not infallible, but I have seen more charts with all kinds of weird shit, so I have a *pats self on back like a douche* fairly good eye for things. ;)

I just checked and it's on advanced. I guess at this point wait it out is all I can do. Thanks so much for your insight, I really appreciate it.

No problem! I hope FF sorts out its shit sooner rather than later. The punk.
@cacophony FWIW, you could be a "slow riser," which just means your temp climbs slower after O. I'm a slow riser and it can definitely make charting confusing, especially in the beginning. I typically have a slight temp rise when I O and then it jumps up again in a few days. I would HIO EOD until you see a sustained temp rise, just to be on the safe side. You'll eventually, hopefully, see a pattern after a few months of temping.
TTC #1 since August 2013 DX: Endo November 2014: Hysteroscopy, D&C June - September 2015: Clomid + Novarel + IUI #1-3 January 2017: Laparoscopy - endo removed
I was really hesitant to ask this question because I know people are very sure I didn't ovulate on CD 16. I went ahead and tested today on a wondfo since FF thinks I'm 10 DPO. I got a very very faint line that showed up within 1 minute. Squinter but definitely there. I was freaking out so I used another wondfo in the same urine and there was absolutely nothing. Can evaps show up that quickly? Can different tests in the same batch have different sensitivity? STFU and test tomorrow, cacophony? I'm sorry for such a newb question.

Different tests absolutely have different results within the same batch, box, however they're packaged. That's one reason we encourage people to stop testing after getting good lines, because they can make you crazy.
Each test has a different amount of dye in it and that can effect how quickly or early you get a line. This early, I'm willing to bet the line was just your urine hitting the dye pocket and getting through it a little slow, making it look like there was a line.
Test again tomorrow and wait the whole at least three (but I always waited 5) minutes to keep yourself from getting confused and possibly seeing lines that aren't real. Line eye sucks and it makes getting real lines even harder to accept, ime.
Rama Thank you! The line is still there on the first test. It was so weird using that second test and it being completely negative. I'm going to see what tomorrow yields before I let myself feel any emotion. I might run out and get a FRER for tomorrow. You've helped calm my nerves a bit and thank you for being so nice to a silly newb.
