Snow day (sorry) packing my car for the next 2 days away from home and A. I hate being away from her because I am stuck at work. Sorry for a bitter post before 530a
Our snow was a bust too. Really sad to wake up to So much slush. Daycare is closed so even if my office was open I'd have to stay home. Surprisingly enough, our development is plowed. It usually takes them days to get a plow when it snows normally. Insert eye roll here. Meh I wanted snow!

We are definitely getting snow here. I think we have 8 inches so far. I'll try to snap a picture when I get out of bed.
I survived my first day solo with the kiddos. Although MIL came over around 5 since H was doing snow prep with FIL. There were many tantrums from the toddler. Sigh. I feel bad for him, but holy cow is he boundary pushing right now. Must be patient.
We have about 5 inches here, but now it's kind of sleeting so for every bit of accumulation there's also some melt.
Daycare called a snow day and work gave me the OK to work from home, so we're all sitting in the living room watching Pocahontas after an egg and pancake breakfast. I also took the pup on a walk this morning and he was SUCH a good boy and peed and pooped without even leaving our block!

We have a dusting of snow here. We are going to the grocery today. Dd1 still has school since she is not sick. I am hoping V's butt looks better today and is not raw looking again today. Amoxicillin is the hardest on my kids super sensitive skin.
All the men in my house are still asleep but I know as soon as I turn on the coffee maker they're all going to wake up. I even took a nice hot shower and used a new mud mask.
We have about 6-7 inches here. Had some sleet mixed in for a little bit its back to all snow again and starting to come down heavier. We are all snuggling on the couch watching Sesame Street. I'll take it.

I hope all the ladies in the snow stay safe and warm!
It's going to be 92 here today, so needless to say, the A/C is already on. Not amused.
I'm normally working today, but my schedule got changed this week, so I have a free day while H goes to daycare (we already paid for the day), so I see rom coms and organizing a closet in my future!

No snow here, just super super cold.
Hunter has a cold and was up most of the night. Once I moved him to my bed I slept even less. And of course Mac woke up and noticed Hunter wasn't in the crib so he came running and insisted on sleeping with us too.
Good news is I just bought raptors tickets for the end of the month! Me and H are taking my dad to a game while my mom watches the boys. I'm pretty excited! We don't sports, but I do enjoy actually going to live games.
No snow (thank goodness, cannot do that), but it's cold. Well cold for us anyway. It's supposed to be in the 70s later though.
Boys are at daycare, I'm being lazy today and catching up on DVR. DS2 ran around the house saying momma over and over this morning. He really needs to learn a new word.

Just a dusting here. Stayed up way too late last night, but I had to make cupcakes for my boss' birthday since I am the resident baker at work. In the middle of frosting cupcakes, Noah woke up and would.not.go.back.to.sleep. It was after 11:30 before I finally got him down and that was in our bed since DH was working. Of course he tossed and turned all night so I didn't get much sleep and then he was up early. It's hard getting ready for work when you have a toddler than wants 100% of your attention and to be held. :/. I feel like a mess today, but I'm hoping that just because I am tired.
All the kids slept in yesterday and then went to bed at normal time last night, so I thought we'd skated through a seamless DST. Wrong. My oldest was up constantly and complaining to us that he was up. Want to know how much patience you have with a 7 year old who won't sleep? Answer: none. Luckily, the other two were fine. Kara woke up, but that's not super abnormal. Especially when her brother is messing all about.
While you all hunker down in the snow, we have a normal day. Two showings, which I'm highly annoyed at since our house was supposed to be under contract yesterday. Our realtor better call us today.
Guys I woke up to about 4-6" and someone did my driveway and front walk. I'm speechless. I thought it was a neighbor we split a snowblower with, but it's not and I don't think they would open my garage and take it out without knocking first. I can tell they used a snowblower and not too many people around here have one, so I think it might be my other neighbor who is really quiet. He didn't help out anyone last year though, so I'm surprised.
Ugh, yesterday was just brutal and I'm hoping today is better. I woke up yesterday morning from a nightmare that MH reenrolled Kolby and prepaid 6 months of care at our previous daycare. Thank GOD it was a dream because I do not trust them. Then, I started my day ... I forgot my breakfast on the counter so was going to go through McDonalds for a quick, cheap breakfast... window iced shut. Luckily my office is around the corner from a coffee shop. Enjoyed a great, expensive latte.
Then I met with the other plagiarizing student and she was very apologetic and said everything you should say to a professor, with sincerity. My night ended by Kolby sneaking in the kitchen next to me and grabbed a hot pan. So we spent the night encouraging to put on "lotion"... aloe. Oy... Hope everyone is staying safe in the snow!
We only got about a couple inches of snow yesterday. It's supposed to flurry through out the day today but nothing significant. Today I plan on running around to the resell shops looking for craft items.
Snow day here. One of my coworkers offered to cover by working a double. Thank you very much. We are in the 2 foot range, but it's not supposed to really pick up until this afternoon.

So we are headed to Gaitlinburg and I would love to do hiking and outdoorsy stuff. I know my kids would enjoy all the kitschy stuff more - do I just give in so they have fun and will be in good moods and scrap my hiking plans? We plan to go to Ober one day. Has anyone been to Wonder Works or the Island? Thoughts?

There is an elderly couple two doors down from me. The man always does everyone's driveway when we have snow. He comes back two or three times too.
I recently found out that his wife has advanced Parkinson's. I always want to do something for them but I am not sure what they would appreciate and what would be most useful to them.

That is so sweet. I am sure he likes getting out of the house. Maybe make them something edible?

I was randomly looking at jobs and found a few full time in a location we both love. It's not very close to family, but still much closer than we are now (only two hours), but H's best friend and his family live there. I casually mentioned to H that I found the jobs and if I got one he could just work something random part time to supplement income but didn't think he would even entertain the idea. Well, he told me to apply and went on to ask his friend if he knows of any jobs around there he could do. It's an affordable area, we've both said since the day we met that we want to live there someday, and it's reasonably close to everything. It would be so amazing if we could make this work, we really need out.

I think older people just love it when others spend time with them. Go for a visit and maybe take them something home made as an excuse to pop over and say thank you.

I've been to the island! Be careful if you go on a weekend. Parking is a bitch. The Paula Dean restaurant is good, but go hungry because you can't take leftovers. There's one of those escape room places, I didn't go but the people who did loved it.
