GKU IF Check-In 3/14

A day late, but oh well.

This check-in is meant for anyone on GKU who has hit the 1 year mark of TTC (6 months if you’re over 35), has an infertility diagnosis, or is going through IF testing/treatment. It is meant to be a place for people to share and ask any questions who might not participate on 3T/IF and who would like the company of others going through the same experiences.

QOTW: What is your favorite thing to do on a snowy day?

QOTW: We haven't had a snow day in years, I miss them! Reading by the fire with spiked coffee and playing cards are at the top of my list.

Transfer is tomorrow at 9:30. I'm excited. Crinone is making me sleepy but that is the only real side effect.

QOTW: watching movies and knitting! We have gotten a total of 1.5" of snow this season and half of it was yesterday. Guess we didn't need to shovel this year.

I finally got all of my supplements yesterday (some took longer to ship than others, and needed to get the blood work done before starting DHEA and CoQ10). I counted, and I'm at 15 pills in the morning at 7 pills at night. To be fair, one of those PM pills is my Claritin, but since my myo-inositol is a powder and isn't in that tally, I think it's still fair to count the Claritin. And I know this is only the early beginning!

Good luck with all your supplements @bonzo2012. I hope you don't have increased oils from the DHEA.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing. FF thinks I'm 10 DPO (temps agree with that), but I haven't gotten a + OPK. I also keep going back and forth between EWCM and creamy CM. I'm just going to keep temping and using OPKs. Hopefully my body will figure out what it's doing soon.

I got approval from my insurance for a second HSG. When CD1 comes I will get that scheduled.

QOTW: What is your favorite thing to do on a snowy day? I've never had a snow day, but if I had, I imagine I would want to curl up on the couch with hot chocolate and watch TV!

I'm on a totally boring mental health break cycle with no temping or OPKs or anything. We're just vaguely aiming for sex during my usual FW.

QOTW: I would love a snow day - camping out on the couch with hot chocolate and TV (assuming there is electricity - snow days without power are the WORST).

YAY!! I'm PUPO! Today everything has gone amazingly smooth too. The water in our fridge worked for the first time in months so I could get my 60oz down. When I got to the hospital, my favorite song came on the radio ("Wanna Be That Song" by Brett Eldridge) and I cried.

The transfer was super easy. The thawed our 5BB and it went well so I still have 6 on ice. They took me back to the room and did a mock to make sure it would go smooth and then did the official transfer. I got to see everything on the big screen which was neat.

So now I wait until Betas next Friday at 8 am....

Hi,
No real updates still. Waiting on new set of test requested by geneticist. Not sure if I updated about genetic testing at all, but I do not have superpowers and have had to withdraw my application to Professor Xavier's School for the Gifted.
Everything came back normal except they are currently retesting my acylcarntine because it was abnormal, but not in a way that is consistent with any common fatty acid disorder. Shocker, right?
I was also cleared by pulmonologist and sent to ENT for suspected silent reflux, because he said it was time to stop "chasing zebras". (Points to anyone who knows the origin of that term.) My ENT appointment is scheduled for 3/23.
So FX this is finally it because I think I'm ready to be done with specialists and testing.

Afm: I'm still waiting for an RE referral to go through. It's been almost 2 months so far, and still nothing back. I'm expecting it will be at least another month before I hear anything, then a month or so again until an appointment.

I am sitting at 4dpo, so I will hold on to hope for now.

I love to crochet and bake cookies on snow days.

I'm going to test again tomorrow, but I'm starting to get cramps, so I'm preparing myself for a second bust.


Since I have cramps and we aren't super confident about a positive, we made plans to go out of town next weekend, just to escape. Disney World, here I come.

We're going to take a mental health break for a month or two before doing our last iui cycle.

Have our monthly team meeting today...hoping to get some answers/clarification today along with more information....

Also, strangely nervous for the meeting-I think because I'm not as prepared as I want to be.  H is finishing up doing things in house and I didn't get all my files started/emails printed like I wanted.

I had a big temp drop yesterday, and I started spotting. I'm pretty sure that today will be CD1. If it is, then I will call and schedule my repeat HSG. The nurse did say that we could do Femara again prior to the HSG, so I am happy about that!
