would the term medical marvel apply here? They've ran every test I've never heard of on you and can't find a dang thing! You need to come visit me and I'll take you to the local witch doctor/healer!

My ongoing issue is that a lot of my bloodwork will have something off, but it's usually not "clinically significant". The only advice that geneticist gave me is that maybe I'm deficient in some vitamin or protein or some random other thing because of years of stomach issues. No answer on how to figure that out, but when do I ever get answers.

So until I get a magical answer I will just have to remain my speshul sneauxflake infertile narcoleptic with chronic pain self. Yay, me!!!

{hugs} I'm so sorry you can't get any definitive answers. Have you looked to see if any Mayo Clinic anywhere has a specialist in that?

A doctor who specializes in Narcoleptics with Infertility and Chronic Pain? That would be amazing.

I mean, like, start with whichever issue is the biggest struggle. If you had to choose one issue to be resolved/cured/healed whatever, which is the one you most wish to be rid of. Try a Mayo Clinic for that. Then see about the others once that's controlled. There might be treatments being done at the Mayo that no one else is doing yet. I dunno.

Mayo Clinic isn't an option right now due to distance, but my doctors are all in the Princeton area and affiliated with top hospitals.

Most of my recent testing was split between UPenn and Princeton Plainsboro ( House's Hospital). Now if only I could get House as my doctor.

I did look at the current clinical trials going on through Mayo but nothing relevant has popped up yet. I check from time to time in hopes something does.

gabride2010 I’m glad your second HSG is approved by insurance, even though it stinks to have to do it again. Hooray that you can keep doing Femara and not waste any time!

@wallflwr926 Maybe you can’t join the x-men, but can you put in a late app to Hogwarts?? You deserve it after all this testing without conclusive results and steps forward for you. Ugh, I can’t imagine how frustrated you must feel.

butlerfan I’m so annoyed for you with your concerns not being taken seriously in your case. You are fighting to give those children more and your judgments should matter more. It probably feels a lot like one step forward, two steps back, but you are amazing for how much you care and work hard for the kids.

QOTW: I either want to be all outside or all inside with snow, haha! I think it's fun to crunch all over fresh snow in boots. I'd love to try snowshoes sometime for more adventuring. But otherwise, I want to be inside watching it fall while being cozy -- no in between, like going out for errands and stuff haha.

ohinvrtedworld...the in home worker is being very vocal behind the scenes and so is the GAL. The GAL is making a point to be at next court hearing (I'm not sure if she was able to make the one that increased the visitations) and the next meeting with us and the parents. The next meeting we have at our house so the caseworkers can see us with the kids she point blank said she doesn't need to be there.

I haven't had much interaction with her but I like her-she can see the BS that is going on and she made a point to bring up in our meeting last Thursday. So her, us and the in home worker all think the kids/parents are being set up for failure. We aren't saying reunification won't happen...just let's not rush it so fast based on how it is going.

And with a long Saturday visit....Sunday was right back to how it was in the beginning with the kids with not listening, hitting me, ignoring our rules, etc. Very frustrating.

Ugh man. I'm so glad that there are a few people in your corner who seem to understand. Hopefully together you guys can help the whole team realize that the current setup isn't helping the kids or their bio parents or setting them up for long-term success.

Ugh butlerfan. I'm sorry the kids don't behave well after they come back from visitation. That is super frustrating! I'm happy to hear that you really do have someone on your side that understands and who can see all the BS going on. Do you think there's any chance that they will scale back the visits?
