DD has a mild case. Anything I can do for it?
She kind of just has dry skin overall as well. Nothing too visible, but since birth her skin just doesn't feel like smoothe baby skin. Any suggestions besides the lotion I already do?
Dd has it more than ds had. We wash her face every night. I also have a sample of the Mustela face cleanser that has rave reviews online for helping baby acne so I apply that when I remember.
I'm trying to remember when it stops? I miss the smooth baby face.
Dry skin: try switching up the lotion and bath soap. The Johnson and Johnson stuff didn't work well for ds and dried out his bad patches even more. Once we switched they went away. We do Burt's Bees stuff and coconut oil on stubborn patches. So far other than the acne dd is avoiding the dry skin. *crosses fingers*
@orangcrush I believe it is hormonal at this stage. Our hormones are working their way out the the babies system but I figured the Mustela couldn't hurt.
We also have acne that is very recent. Is it hormonal? I will try the mustela, we have a sample of that too!
WP, how often are you bathing her? That could contribute to the dryness.
Maybe 5 days a week, which I know is a lot, but she sleeps soooo much better after a bath. She loves it! I don't use soap but maybe 3 times a week and some of those times I just wash her hair and diaper region. So, it's not like I'm rubbing soap all over here everyday. I've been using California Baby body wash since that's what we use for DS, followed by aveeno baby lotion.
I use coconut oil on myself. I should try it on DD!
