thelittleredm the second I turned on the TV yesterday gma came on and ruined The Bachelor for me. I'm trying to watch it now, but it's just not the same
It makes me so sad he didn't pick Raven. I figured that would be the case after his dad told him he has a type and it's never worked out thus far.

Crazy night here. Was giving dd a bath after dinner tonight and when I was undressing her I noticed a giant red welt on her butt/leg and a rash on her belly. I sent mh a text about it because he is working tonight. He didn't get back to me so I called the nurses line and they recommended I call the pedi on call. He told me to give her Benadryl and watch her, was not too concerned. Meanwhile a nurse from all children's called because I had called the after hours line. She recommended taking her to the ER, when I told her the pedi said otherwise she had him call me again. He still said he wasn't too concerned and I agree, also if I can keep her out of a germ-filled ER I would like that. He recommended Benadryl and to keep her up for an hour and watch her breathing. So now we are sitting on the couch watching frozen an hour and a half past her bedtime. Meanwhile R has slept through all of it. He went down for a nap at 5:30 and is still asleep 😳. I have no idea what this means for bedtime. I opened his door about 20 minutes ago and turned the hall light on to see if he would wake up. I think I'm going to close it be just let him sleep and treat his wake up like a motn wake up. But woah 5:30 is way too early for bedtime.

meeggaannw I hope DD is okay, I think benadryl and keeping an eye on it is smart. You might want to gently draw a line around the welt so you can see if it gets bigger, but that's going to be tricky on a kiddo. Maybe snap a photo instead.
N is asleep in her swing for the first time, while I was feeding DS dinner.
During nap time I put together a photo book on Shutterfly for my parents as a thank you for their help. I debated getting a copy for us but I think I'll wait till she's a little older. If you have the app they are running a special for free 4x6 or 4x4 prints, just pay tax and shipping. I ordered the prints I need to finish DS baby book (over a year overdue!)
Also I think nurses lines should have the ability to FaceTime or skype or something. Also woah that was really long, sorry.
Kaiser started offering a video chat appointment for certain things but when I tried it the app crashed and wouldn't work. So we did a phone appointment. But give it a few years and bet this will be more common
We survived our 20hr door to door journey from CA to the ILs! It wasn't too bad really bit it was an overnight flight so both kids slept most of the way. The flight home will be a different sorry but that's 3 weeks away. Both kids are now finally in bed asleep at 1am here. The next few jetlagged days will be interesting. I should also be sleeping but not tired...
silvermelody, I'm not sure why you couldn't try putting LO down drowsy earlier than 3mo? I've been lucky that H will go to sleep at night in his crib this way (with the occaisional paci replacement) and has been the same way pretty much from the beginning. Naps are a whole other story though but I'm working on him doing those out of the ergo, kind of...
meeggaannww, I hope everything is ok with your daughter!

Hope your DD is just experiencing a random toddler rash like the one my DS had on Monday meeggaannw. FX it is nothing. I will also have my FX for a night filled with glorious sleep for you, DD, and DS.
Both my children have finally fallen asleep. Seriously, this 9:30-10:00 bedtime needs to stop (for DS1 at least). I'm totally blaming DST. He's just not ready to fall asleep at 8-8:30. We do the regular routine and have had him in bed by 8:45 but end up playing the "back to your room, get in bed" game for far too long before he actually passes out. I just want everything to be normal! Ah! I need wine.
W wants the boob but gets mad when milk comes out. He just wants to suck on something. He's been making a fuss for the past 2 hours off and on since DS1 went to sleep.
