My kids are still asleep. I really should wake the toddler but she was up until 10:30 last night. Darn you DST, getting out the door at 8:30 tomorrow is going to be so hard.
Hi! I'm tired. It's been impossible to get back to bed at night lately. I feel like I'm in some sort of weird vacuum where leave is going so fast and so slowly.
Oh, have any of your grunters stopped grunting yet? Pretty please tell me it's soon!
The only plans I have today is to continue binge watching the west wing.

N slept through the night! 10:45 until 6. So amazing. Both boobs leaked, so I fed her, put her back to bed and am pumping to empty them. DS is about to wake up. DH we'll get him so I'm debating going back to bed or staying up. N will probably sleep until 9.
My kid self soothed herself to sleep! She got whiny when I put her down from her wakeup, I was waiting for her to really start, but she never did. She fell asleep. It was amazing! Then i had to wake her up to eat around 9am and had to pump the other side because she fell back asleep and it was leaky and painful.

So someone else I wanted to call in for an interview declined it this morning to help out wth her dil and grandkids. So over this search
That is so frustrating. Did the no show ever get back to you? That is just unprofessional. If you found them on care.com I might bring it to their attention. I'm not sure exactly how that site works but I would be frustrated if I'm paying for that service. In my area we have a fb group to find nannies. I've also seen a couple locations of college tutors and nannies. If you are only looking on care.com I might expand the search.

Sorry the search is so frustrating peaseblossom55. FX you find the perfect nanny soon. I know the search for child care is no fun and only adds to the anxiety of returning to work. Big hugs.
Thankfully we had a good night. Both kids fell asleep late again (thanks DST) but slept until 8 am. DS had a MUCH better night and B had his usual 1 am and 4 am wake ups with no drama. We took DS to daycare pretty late because we were having fun playing at home. B is currently crying and I have no idea why- he is struggling to keep his eyes open so I'm guessing he's just overstimulated and having a hard time passing out. As soon as he's asleep I'll clean up around the house, eat lunch, and check some things off my to do list.
After a couple days of super crappy sleep, B gave me a nice night with a 5.5 hr stretch. I hope he's over whatever was making him fussy and we can get back on track.
Daycare was delayed an hour opening today, but better late than closed!
I need to sing the praises of rosehip seed oil. I started using it religiously again a couple weeks ago and holy cow have I seen a massive improvement already in my stretch marks. I wish I had used it preventatively - I had similar results using it with DS1. Also my face looks so much better than it has in a long time.
I started using the lose it app to track what I eat since I was kind of getting out of control with wanting McDonald's all the time and all the talk of WW made me want to start something... I've been adding about 400 calories for bfing, does that sound about right? So far so good, except I blew past my limit yesterday since MH brought home a pie and ice cream for pi day. Then it told me if every day was like that I'd reach my goal weight in 2020. Lol.
We hit up Circle Time this morning. Ds is starting to get more adventurous and venture into the mosh pit of kids instead of sitting by me. He's getting so big! I need to start planning his party. Yikes!
I can't believe it's almost 1. Where has the day gone?

I wish I had advice opheliainwaders. I hope someone has tips to offer!
I didn't use a woven with DS1 and I wasn't sure I'd like it but now I am obsessed. I've only ever done a FWCC and I only own one wrap but I want more! What other carries should I try? I've been watching Wrap You in Love videos for help thus far- any other resources I should check out? Also, where do you guys go to find wovens? Any recs? I definitely want to another. I currently have a size 7 natibaby, cotton I think? Eta: typos.

lakegirl, seriously, I can't believe it's 1. I just called HR and said "good morning". Oops. I also have done nothing but take DS1 to daycare at 10:30 and eat lunch.

FWCC is my favorite base size front carry. I'll have more input on carries once we start back carries!
I've been loving my size 4 (base-2 for me). It's just such a manageable amount of fabric, and the most versatile for me right now. Kangaroo, robins hip carry, fwcc tied under bum, and lately shepherds carry with my toddler.
I don't have a ton of input on wrap brands, but I have mostly been using my didymos lisca blues. It's 100% cotton and so so soft and comfy.

rinny I do feel like a new woman! She's been doing longer stretches so I haven't needed a nap every day and maybe now I can cut it out entirely.
She is still grunting though. She does it before her motn wake and also through a lot of her big afternoon nap. I think she's swallowing too much air.
@opeliainwaders I wish I knew how I moved her bedtime earlier. She's still cluster feeding in the evening but now that she's older I do give her a couple short play mat sessions between feeds. That might be tiring her out. I still let her nurse to sleep. Sometimes I have to swaddle tight and rock her through cries because I know she's tired and full. She usually falls asleep within 2-3 minutes and then I keep holding rocking for twenty minutes or so (she has to be upright anyway)
DH had a doctor appointment at 8 am this morning and woke up DS1 when he pulled out of the garage this morning. I had him chill in our room watching TV while W and I slept a little more.
Sorry I've been MIA a little. Between getting ready for our trip home, and getting stuff ready for when I get my LLR call this week, I've been busy.
The grunting is starting to taper off for us, but Leap 2 is starting soon in this house.
opheliainwaders with ds I had mh give him a bottle during that time and I would pump. I think it helped establish an early bedtime routine and prevent that mom's boob is required for bedtime problem. I should probably start this up again with dd.

heybulldog56 I like kangaroo and semi fwcc and robins with a 4 (base -3). Wrap You in love is overall my favorite for videos. Babywearing Faith is also good but she doesn't caption like WYIL.
Yaro makes some great affordable wraps. 5mr is a good online retailer. You can also get deals on the brand specific groups on Facebook. The Babywearing Swap is the big catch all sale group there. Babywearing on a Budget has carriers under $100

She never got back to me. Her mother had been admitted into the hospital the day before so even if it's unprofessional I don want to say anything to the site in case something real bad has happened. I couldn't find any local groups I am a part of a local mothers group and one one replied.

DS1 is playing on the ipad, W is sleeping in his jumparoo, and I'm actively avoiding doing any much needed housework by catching up on The Bachelor. I know how it ends which is disappointing by whatever. We're going to the nature center down by the river this afternoon so that should be fun. I also need to contact our nanny and get a set date for when she gets back to NM.
W because he's adorable, even with his slicked down olive oil hair.

I've started to do the tight swaddle in the evening when F is fussy but I know he's not hungry. I put on LOUD white noise and hold him. He falls asleep in 2-3 minutes too, but I've found the trick is not to turn the noise off/down too early. At least 30 minutes... usually I do this while reading my book and bf is putting ds1 to bed.
