Trying some call-outs... mrscatfarmer13 how is your dad doing? JoBub when is the playground play date at your place lol. sstwinklinglites how is your cold?
bazingaa is work becoming normal again, your coworker is back? dogmama22 how are things in the new place? babylove518 where are you guys thinking of building? (feel free to move the answer to pb)
I went and saw The Shack last night with some friends. It was really good. I cried through a lot of it. It deals with some heavy stuff but it's a good one if you read the book.
becole did the baby give you some better sleep last night? mominthemaking14 is A's class having a st patty day party on Friday? lindsay do you feel prepared for arrival of the babies? How long are you planning to take off work? Does your H get time off?
Works has been better, just the normal busy now that I'm back to one job. My computer, however, is on its last leg. It currently won't turn on. Say a prayer for it. Considering my IT department is in NYC, I'm screwed lol.
We love it here. We went to the elementary school carnival in our neighborhood this weekend and I saw a ton of former kindergarten students and their parents. We have great neighbors and lots of boys just a little older than Z, so I'm excited for it to warm up so we can all socialize more. Slowly moving things in from storage now. I really want to get my sewing room set up, but a lot of that was first to go so it's buried.
I do have a medical WWYD question though. I've been having back pain for a few months now, but it only happens for a few days about a week after my period. I went to a GP, no advice. Went to the gyno, said to just take ibuprofen. All my tests were normal. This is awful though. I can't sit still, stand, or find a comfortable position without being near tears. Yesterday it was building, today will be horrible, tomorrow it will lessen, and by Saturday I'll be totally normal. It's like that every month. I feel like something has to be wrong. Do I go back to one of the doctors I already saw? Go to a chiropractor? Is this something everyone else deals with and it's just new to me?

Do you have a full room now for sewing? I think you were using your dining room before, right? I have all my stuff setup in the guest room, not that I use it much, but I'll be sad if we have to use that room in the future. I dunno where I would relocate it.

Well I used to have cyclical back pain as a pms symptom so it would happen before my period or right when it started. If it's just hormonal, you might have to just do pain killers. If it feels like a pulled muscle or something like a disc issue, I would go to a chiro. Well either way I would go to a chiro because they always make my back pain go away. Maybe go to one of the ones that does an adjustment and then massage and schedule and appointment every month at the time you first notice the pain.

bazingaa I'd get another opinion seems like it has to do with your hormones around that time. Back pain is the worse my situation was different from yours so not sure muscle relaxers or physical therapy would help .... I wonder if try to see a doctor during the time it flares up if the test would be different...
JoBub when is the playground play date at your place lol.
As soon as it warms up! Seriously, we never have any plans on the weekends unless we're OOT, so all you guys can come hang out and play any time you want as long as you don't care that my house is a mess. LOL I can't wait to get all the outdoor toys back out.
I've been really impressed that DS sees it out there and hasn't wanted to go out and play on it. He totally agrees that it's too cold. LOL
bazingaa I second getting a second opinion. Pain shouldn't be normal. Did you say it coincides with your cycle each month? What part of your back? Could it be caused by boobs (my back pain is due to boobs).
It's my lower back, usually on the right hand side. I feel like if it was happening leading up to or during my period, I'd be more inclined to think normal. Doesn't feel like a pulled muscle. It just effing hurts. It's constant. Nothing I do makes it worse or better, it just is what it is. I don't think it's boob related. Mine aren't big enough to cause issue. 😂I'll try to call the gyno back. I was thinking hormone something too.
I think I've officially entered the worn out phase of pregnancy now that I'm in the third tri.. babies are apparently each pineapple sized which is a LOT. They're (combined) currently about the size that DD was when she was born! Plus I have an extra placenta in there.

Maybe try heat and ice too. I would at least see what a chiro thinks- maybe they can see a pulled muscle or something that's only getting tight around that time. But I would also want the gyno to rule out kidney/ cyst/ fibroid.

Rockstar! Make sure you pamper yourself cause you deserve it!

I feel for you. That sounds awful. I think I would need off work. It was really hard sitting in that chair at work.

bazingaa you have endometriosis right? Could it be related to that since it only happens around your period? Did your gyno say take ibuprofen because it's normal with endo to experience back pain? If it were me, I would go to the chiropractor, and probe your gyno for more info.
ETA: I can delete this if you don't want your medical info on blast.

My dad is doing fine, I guess. I think he may start his new chemo treatment today. His platelets were a little low 3 weeks ago so they were waiting for his numbers to rise. Since completing the radiation and last round of chemo, he's been as close to his normal self since having surgery, which was bittersweet. Oh and last week he started using a cane (I can't remember if I shared that or not) instead of a walker. He actually walks better with the cane because he can't rely on the walker to shuffle him, but without the walker he tends to lean to one side; he's getting better about it with the cane though.
ETA: I can't remember when he goes back for more scans.

I do not. My weird ailment is fibromyalgia. My google research leading up to my last appt had me thinking that's what it was, but the tests didn't show it.

Ahh, that's what it was.. Well I'd probably still go see a chiro.
