vlagroupie I was reading online and some people were saying that with more difficult cases of thrush, the nystatin might not work. Typically it takes 14 days of treatment. I read that another drug called daktarin works better and is typically not used under 4 months but it can be used as long as you follow instructions precisely.

I read that too. I just don't think the nystatin is touching it and I want to explore other options. I really want to avoid that gentian violet it looks horribly messy. Today has been an extremely frustrating nursing day. She doesn't want to nurse long, seems uncomfortable and pulls off. I'm also confused as to whether I have it. Like I don't have painful or red/pink nipples or pain while nursing. Could it be in my milk ducts and I wouldn't feel extreme pain?? Sometimes after she nurses I will feel a slight stinging but nothing horrible really. I finished my last dose of diflucan on Tuesday. So I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm tempted actually to call up blue cocoon and maybe schedule an appt with them to see what they think, I'm starting to get at wits end and I don't want this to hurt our bf relationship. Oh the pedi just called and can't get me in until 8 am tomorrow so at least there's that.

I'm sure the nursing issues are thrush related if it's still there. I would see if you can get that other stuff because many people said it helped immediately vs nystatin taking a while. I would think you would need another round of whatever to keep you from getting thrush too. It never hurts to see an LC. They might have some tips on getting rid of it or getting her to nurse even if shes uncomfortable.

So H checked out Childtime today. He said he liked it and got a good feeling. It's small (sort of like our last daycare center) which we both like. He said the teachers were really nice and he liked how all the bathrooms were sized for the specific ages of the kids (lol). I think it's a chain so wanted to see if anyone had heard anything good or bad. They said since he came in and toured they would let us know and give us an opportunity to register before spots became unavailable for the kids, which I appreciate. I'm going to check it out on Thursday before we make any final decisions. I'm also touring the mentessorri school and we're going to talk to MIL tonight. FX that we have a couple of solid options and will just have to think through what makes the most sense for the kids.
I decided to do green food tonight and made tortellini with pesto. How have I gone my whole life without knowing how easy it is to make pesto?! I mean, there is no cooking or chopping. Press a button and voilà!

I used to work at a "sister school" (i guess it would be called that. They are owned by the same company as childtime) and overall, I really liked it. This was when I lived in northern Indiana, but still, overall, the company seemed fine and i really liked my job there (other than being underpaid but its daycare so that's expected). Good luck!!
