Have a great shower rosesquared! I'm sad that with baby 3, no one is throwing me a shower even though, ironically we need more with this baby than we needed with #2 (new crib, double stroller, mattress, etc.). I'm being whiney. enjoy your shower!
I'm about to take a nap because DS just went down and I slept like CRAP last night thanks to DH snoring, DS coughing, and my best friend was in labor and the last text I got from her husband was at 11pm telling me after 24+ hours of labor baby "turned the wrong way"... then radio silence. I know he was obviously busy but way to make a girl worry! Baby girl was thankfully born healthy and happy, ultimately by C section, so all turned out ok in the end!
Hi ladies. We got home not that long ago from (secretly) looking at two more houses... two more no's, sigh. We've looked at 11 houses so far and only one was a consideration, it seems like every house we either like the house and hate the lot/yard or the other way around. Definitely not a hurry as there's nothing wrong with the one we live in now, just would like to find something with more space at some point. Anyway DD is at my mom's and we are hanging out at home relaxing now and temporarily enjoying some time to ourselves. Less than 6 weeks to my RCS so we're trying to appreciate the quiet while we can lol.
Last night my friends from the dog rescue we're involved with threw me a surprise shower - it was so nice!! Lots of good dog-related baby items, so these two will be representing well. I got a decent night's sleep and managed a nap today, so I'm feeling pretty good. Taking things one day at a time.
Since both babies are still breech, I finally got a c-section date - May 5th! I was really hoping for May 4th for Star Wars day, but I'll take Cinco de Mayo.

Happy Saturday! I was nauseated last night so I slept like crap but I think I'm starting to feel better. I'm currently at getting my hair colored so waiting for it to process. Then indeed to go home and clean up a bit before MIL comes tomorrow. I know she doesn't care if my house has is clean but I do so I want to have it look at least presentable, which is currently does not.

river - I really wanted a Cinco de Mayo baby but my OB wouldn't wait that long to schedule me. So I'm having a May Day baby instead. We're getting so close!

I went on a short run this morning and then we went to the race expo to pick up my race packet. I noticed some blood when I wiped when I was at the expo, but I'm like 95% sure that it might have been my bum. It still kind of freaked me out, but I haven't seen any since then. I feel fine besides that and baby is dancing around like crazy today. Since I have my race tomorrow I'm trying to just relax and hydrate like crazy. Tomorrow's high is 87 so I'm hoping it's not too hot during the race. Depending on how the race goes I may ease up on the running. I'd like to do a race in April, but that's also the month when we are buying most of the baby stuff so I'm not sure if it'll happen.
OMG guys, I am on fire as the crazy biotchy pregnant lady! I freaked out at the consignment store today because they donated 3 bags of stuff that I told them I wanted back, after lowballing us on the stroller & PnP we consigned. It did result in them paying me $35 to make up for it though. Afterwards, I realized I might have yelled a little extra much considering I was just going to give the stuff to my bff but ya know....hormones!
Then I blew up at the landlord because he scheduled showings of the house at 10, 11, 1 and 2...which meant we had to go out ALL DAY pretty much, which I just don't have energy for at this point, and it messed up DD's nap and we had to get lunch out. He ended up giving us $100 to make up for the inconvenience! I think he's afraid I'll refuse to terminate the lease early and mess up his sale.
Apparently I've reached that stage where I yell at everyone who crosses me, and am in general just a treat to be around.
Also, DD got her first haircut today! She did awesome and it's so cute!!
This is baby's super active time of day so I'm obeying Spinning Babies and doing one of the positions to hopeful encourage baby to flip, which involves me being on my hands and knees with butt up in the air. My H walks by and goes "that looks more like a baby making position than a baby flipping position"
We had the dog behaviorist over today to help prep them for the baby, and it was great. Mostly stuff we'd already discussed, but it was good to be validated and to be pushed a bit. Now we're watching stand up and relaxing.

Thanks so much everyone!! The shower was simply a dream come true!! The food was amazing, decor was perfect, and it was so great seeing everyone! We legit barely fit all the gifts into my big suv with the back seats down lol! Some really amazing hand made gifts too which were so thoughtful. Oh and instead of a guestbook there were blank wooden blocks and sharpies in the tables so people could decorate blocks. I can't wait to sit down and look at them all. Such an amazing thing to have! Now I'm in so much pain and my pelvis is like you did too much today even though I feel like I barely did anything! We finished the day though celebrating with delivery thai food and now DW is picking up ice cream to go with the ton of left over cake we have!

jmcbick be careful getting up. Blood likes to run to our heads, ugh. I spent a good amount of time on the ironing board pretending I was a bat 😂 DS1 thought it was hilarious to try to climb on my belly 😒
I currently have brownies baking in the oven 😄 Then we're having pizza for a late dinner. we bought the paint for the dresser tonight, so DH is going to work on painting the dresser and changing table this week!
I also got the new seat cushions for our high chair today. Now I just need to clean it up tomorrow since it was a hand me down and is pretty dirty and put the new cushions on.
rosesquared I'm so glad your shower went well! I love baby showers....well I much prefer being the guest rather than the honoree!
I'm so exhausted. DS woke up early today and we went with my mom and nephew to a children's museum. Thank goodness H came too because I needed him to chase DS, I can't keep up with that kid anymore! I got a couple super freaking adorable pictures of DS while we were there, which is impressive considering he's a constant force of motion.
Spent this weekend helping DS get over an ear infection. He was sick all week and we just got him back from the grandparents. Sad he was sick all week for them. Yesterday was pretty bad for him and it was a fight just to get him to eat but finally got some medicine in him and he is on the mend it looks like. Crazy how having kids back at the house for a day and it looks a mess again. But I claim an exemption because DS wouldn't let us leave his side all day Friday and Saturday.
lupincat I'm in the same boat with DD, it scares me to take her places alone cuz she's so fast and I'm so slow!!!
So I just had my virtual baby shower and OMG. My bestie and I have know each other since birth (30+ years) but she constantly outdoes herself! This was an amazing shower! She got my friends and family, who are literally all over the world on 3 continents, to record video messages to us and she interspersed them with games and trivia posts. It was SO FUN! I told her to quit her day job!!!!
