Well, H and I had a long talk. Both of us are feeling unappreciated and unloved and stuff so we figured out some things to focus on changing. We're in a better place now. Makeup sex might actually happen. Especially if I drink this margarita all on my own.....mmmmmmm tequila!
I bought a pair of really jeans today. My maternity jeans are starting to slide down and have some thin spots but my regular jeans don't button comfortably (major muffin top). The new pair is only one size up so it's not as bad as I was envisioning.
I should move dd to her crib soon. I'm dragging my feet because she's the last one and hasn't been disrupting my sleep in between feedings. We had agreed on a month like we did with ds but mh got confused and thought it was recommended to keep her in the room with us until she hit ten pounds. I just rolled with it but I'm feeling a bit claustrophobic with all the baby stuff and it would be nice to get the pnp out of the room. Decisions, decisions.
Hi life twin, ha.
I'm anxiously awaiting my one size bigger jeans to arrive in the mail because I have no pants that make me feel good.
And, last night we kept DD in her room the entire night for the first time. She only woke twice....slept 7:30pm-1am and then woke at 5am and I brought her into bed with me until 7. I was a little sad, but I was also pretty sure she was waking more becuse she wanted to snack/nurse/cuddle. It worked for us. We shall see what happens tonight!
Oh and I'm currently walking on my treadmill. Def life twins!

I just took a walk around the grocery store. Does that count as exercise? Keep up the good work weeklyplanner and lakegirl. Maybe I'll go for a walk today.
I made $35 selling back baby clothes that I will now turn around and spend on the kids. Ah living that mom life.
That is way more than I've ever gotten back! Good job! I set aside all the newborn clothes but most of it is winter stuff and it's already getting too warm here. I'll probably set it aside and give it to a friend next winter.
DS potty training starts in a few minutes. I got up early and now it sounds like the baby is waking up even though she usually sleeps another hour. Parenting life.

I lucked out. I had stuff from dd and ds (wasn't sure if we were going to have a boy) for the spring/summer season. Plus they were running a special, 30% instead of the usual 20%. Everything they didn't take my friend who just had a baby said she'd take. Wins all around!
In a moment of weakness I also made brownies last night. I've only had two pieces but I'm bringing the rest to my friend so I don't eat them 😂

Let me know how the training goes. I have no clue how to PT DS. Originally I said I'd start this May/June, but now that seems so close. I think he could do it if he wanted to becuse a few times he has sat and tried he peed in the potty. But, he also doesn't want to do it....
We went to a trampoline park for the first time today and it was fun DS1 had a blast and W was happy the whole time. I met a mom there and we commiserated over having babies (DS1 for me, her second) who were super slow growers and the anxiety from it. She was almost in tears after our talk because I guess I'm the first person she's met that had the same issue and she was feeling so relieved taking to me. It made my heart happy to hear that and made my day.
She's also a LLR lady and told me to stop by her open house and pick a pair of leggings out to take home for making her feel so much better so that was an unexpected bonus.

My kid will sign potty or poop, go sit on the potty, actually go sometimes, and grab a tissue to wipe with 😂....all while in his clothes. God forbid you try to take his diaper off, biggest hissy fit ever. I'm not sure how to over come this.

lakegirl, DS1 says he has to use the potty and when I take him he stands in front of the toilet, bends over, and makes farting noises. He often does this in public restrooms. It's hilarious. He is almost 3 so maybe we should try harder to seriously train him...
I'm trying so hard not to laugh heybulldog56 because the baby is sleeping on me but I'm dying! When I blow bubbles ds will get on the floor and try to eat them, I think because he's copying the dog. They brought out the bubble machine at circle time last week and I was petrified he was going to do it there! He did not but now I'm nervous.
Basically you say all the diapers are gone, we're going potty in the potty, and you leave them naked or just in undies. And then watch them like a hawk. You can do diapers or pull-ups for bedtime and nap until they start staying dry.
We're doing 1 M&M for pee and 2 for poo. He hasn't quite figured out the 'if, then' system yet. It's kinda exhausting but the author swears most kids get it by the third day.
He's peed in it a few times but also on the floor a bunch. Good thing we have hard surfaces.
I'm awful and couldn't read through the whole thread.
GL witg potty training to everyone who's there. I'll be watching for mental storage notes.
I got released today at my appt for all activities and we talked about an iud. I think I'm going to get one. Dnw another baby any time soon. I need to go to my PCP tomorrow because my blood pressure is still elevated but I don't like the medication they have me on. After that, hoping to go to the gym for the first time 😳
C has pretty much dropped daytime naps except short catnaps, but she has basically been STTN so I think I'll take it. She woke up today at 5am and fell back asleep around 6 for another few hours. I just need to learn how to go to bed when she does.

silvermelody, did you read the book "holy crap"? I bought it but haven't read it. I think the premise is exactly what you are doing. Not sure a book will be helpful for me.l but everyone kept recommending it.
ETA: maybe the title is oh crap? Not sure but it's something cap

Nope, this one is Brandi Bucks "potty training in three days". I think the premise is similar to Oh, Crap. My mom bought us this one and it sounded do-able. The author is a former nanny and is now supposedly a potty training expert (who knew that was a thing?)
N still takes a long afternoon nap. She's also basically sleeping 10-12 hours between 10pm-10am with only one wakeup. Which is great except I feel like she's not getting enough feedings. She's happy and growing, just not putting on as much weight as she was. I'm probably over-analyzing it.

Anyway...I was looking a double strollers and trying to decide if we need one. lakegirl did you get the bravo for 2? I really like it, I'm just not convinced my 3 yo will actually want to ride much to make it worth it. Give me your review!

If it helps anyone my weirdo child potty trained himself. The week after F was born R woke up on a Saturday and said he wanted to wear underwear. And he has ever since, with only a handful of accidents. It was very odd.
Size, unfolded: I was worried about the length but it doesn't feel that much longer than my Chicco Liteway Plus. I was surprised. I know it's bigger but it doesn't feel like it at all. The handle is the weirdest part for me because it is obviously longer/in a different position but the body was an easy adjustment for me.
Size, folded: Big adjustment for me. It's the size of a decent suitcase and takes up a lot of space in the trunk (Rav4).
Folding: a dream! I can fold it one handed.
Maneuverability: I don't have a lot of experience with double strollers but I'm impressed. I can still pop it up a curb. Turning in a tight space takes a little more effort but it's not awful.
Storage: it's not easy to get to the basket storage. The cup holders are shallow. They work well for the kid's camelbak bottles but I haven't tried any other bottles. The cell phone pouch is roomy and carries a decent amount of snacks which is important for bribing toddlers.
Baby features: my Keyfit30 snaps in easy peasy. Downside: it only works with a Chicco bucket.
Toddler features: ds will be 2 in May so a bit younger than your guy. He's loving the stand feature. It's going to be great for the zoo and park. I love the jump seat and being able to strap him in if he's being sassy.

lakegirl great info, thank you!! I really love the large canopy on my city mini. Do you think the canopy on this one would shield out a good amount of sun on the kid riding in front?
