This one is simply #2 so far.
DS was razzfrog (size of a raspberry, looks like a frog on u/s) at this point in my pregnancy.

I've been saved from cooking dinner! My neighbor invited us over for hot dogs on the grill. DS won't eat hot dogs so I'll still have to make him something but whatever! YAY!

30-45 min later he's nudging me awake on the couch because it's time to pick up DD from school. Holy hell am I tired. I don't remember ever having been so continuously tired.

I've never been one for in utero nicknames. I usually go with "it" or "the baby" if I'm feeling romantic. I don't even really like referring to kids as their name before they are born. It's just my own weird little thing.

Our first was called skeletor in utero. This came from one ultrasound we got where he was looking straight at the camera and you could see his skull.

Thanks for the well wishes. I got in touch with both Drs and got sort of answers. Both appointments are next Wednesday, back to back. I'm sure I will feel a ton better after that

+1 to not referring to kids by their name in untero, I find that disturbing. I'm only looking for a nickname b/c I felt like saying blob was very inappropriate lol.

I have a question? Does everyone now get the genetic testing done? 3 years ago with DD there was like 1 sheet of things they checked, but now I have this intense kit.

We call it Chunk. Also a very flattering nickname, haha.

We've (mostly I've) been calling this baby QBert. We called DS Burger for most of the pregnancy. I have no real explanation why for either.

Ds's in utero nickname was "Cletus the parasitic fetus"
DD's was 2.0
This one is Kid the Third.

My office offers quad screening and NT scans for everyone. For NIPT they have to refer you to the MFM, so it's circumstantial. I ended up with said referral last time. They were working on getting it covered to be offered for everyone so I'll have to ask in a couple of weeks at my appointment. If they don't and I'm not high risk I might just ask for a lab quest referral at least.

I was thinking about this, too. It wasn't really common with DS in 2014 and I'm not even sure it was a thing for DD in 2009. I was presented with two different versions, Harmony and something else that I can't remember at the moment. They both have their pros and cons and neither are completely covered by insurance. Part of me thinks it would be great to be prepared if there is something wrong, and part of me is like, well, I've done it twice before without testing so why do it any differently this time?

Edit: I did choose to do the quad screening with both kids.

I did the harmony test for my last 2 babies because I was 35 and older. My first two kids were born in 2001 and 2005 and that kind of genetic testing was way not a thing. One of my best friends is pregnant and opted not to because she's 29 and her odds are so low. If I wasn't so old I don't think I would do it, it's not 100% covered by insurance for me and a pretty expensive test.

We had always figured we'd do genetic screening, and my OB and I talked about it at my appointment, but since we have a chromosomally screened embryo, we decided not to do it.

Took advantage of waking up to only mild nausea and ran 2 miles. Take that white carb infested first trimester.

I wasn't really sure either. I felt like the testing would likely look for the same chromosomal issues that CCS testing would, and my OB said that it would. She said that my insurance probably wouldn't cover it either based on the fact that I had done the screening already. We agreed that it probably doesn't make sense to do it.

ETA: I think CCS actually tests for more than the Counsyl (or whichever) testing does since CCS looks at every chromosome, and those tests only look for certain abnormalities.

I ran off and on with my other successful pregnancy until 32 weeks, but I struggled. I'm going into this one in much better shape so I'm hoping to do better.

I went into this pregnancy in pretty good shape too. I ran a half in December and kept up running close to 20 miles a week until February when I had my transfer. It's been about 6 weeks since I've run, though because I'm still so nervous about this pregnancy.  

**TW** With my 10w loss back in 2015, I started running again at about 8 weeks because I'd had a good ultrasound and was feeling good, and I started to have bleeding the next day. I know it probably wasn't related, but I just can't bring myself to start running again yet. I really can't spend every weekend on the couch like I have been, though, so I need to start doing something.

I would love to buy an elliptical to use during and after this pregnancy. I get terrible sciatica in pregnancy so even walking is tough eventually. And with 3 kids 2.5 and under my big plans of being a regular at barre class again will be postponed for a while.

An awesome lady from J15 just did a half marathon at 30 weeks. Anyone who continues to run during pregnancy is my hero.
