I ran off and on with my other successful pregnancy until 32 weeks, but I struggled. I'm going into this one in much better shape so I'm hoping to do better.
I went into this pregnancy in pretty good shape too. I ran a half in December and kept up running close to 20 miles a week until February when I had my transfer. It's been about 6 weeks since I've run, though because I'm still so nervous about this pregnancy.
**TW** With my 10w loss back in 2015, I started running again at about 8 weeks because I'd had a good ultrasound and was feeling good, and I started to have bleeding the next day. I know it probably wasn't related, but I just can't bring myself to start running again yet. I really can't spend every weekend on the couch like I have been, though, so I need to start doing something.
I had a fluid issue at 10w with DD and was specifically told not to run since they know I do. I was told it does not increase odds of miscarriage but that they'd seen people loss a pregnancy after a run with a complication and that those women tended to be very hard on themselves over it. I wouldn't run right now either if I suspected anything or had a reason not to.

I'm super impressed with anyone doing or contemplating regular exercise. I was just starting to think about getting back into it now that my 'baby' is almost 20 months, and now I'm facing (likely) months of nausea. I guess until that starts I should STFU and get some exercise!

An awesome lady from J15 just did a half marathon at 30 weeks. Anyone who continues to run during pregnancy is my hero.
I was supposed to run a half tomorrow but deferred to next year. I did 10 miles for relay during first tri with DD but that was it. I'm going to do a few 5ks this time. I have one in May.
I did run a full marathon at 10.5 months pp. That was effing hard. And probably stupid, lol.

I am a runner, but wasn't consistently running before bfp because we had a crappy winter (for us). So I don't think I'm going to get out running anymore. I've done some hard and long hikes though so I'll keep those up for awhile. At least until I think it's too risky to be in the middle of nowhere haha. I'll also keep up my kickboxing class as long as I can just take it down a notch. Today though I think my exercise will consist of washing the car and mowing the lawn

I usually do a 1.5+ mile walk a day, sometimes two when it finally gets nice out consistently and light out later. DS and I got back from walk 1 of the day a little bit ago. The hills were definitely a bit rough. I just get tired and out of breath more easily.
I'm feeling significantly better today after a workout than I have in a few days. I was nauseous when I started but by the time I finished I felt fine. Maybe exercise will help?
@thatgolfbitch because tapatalk hates me and didn't quote.
Workout-wise: I've been good about getting in a short workout every day (run, yoga or other videos on Grokker like kick-boxing). i hope to keep it up. Even today I went out for a couple of miles although I feel like crap from this cold. Usually a short run followed by a steamy shower helps my congestion but I'm not so sure this time.
I have no desire to run long distances long into the pregnancy though, I have some friends that have suffered/are suffering major pelvic floor problems that I believe are linked to their long distance running during pregnancy and right after trying to get back to it too quickly. I understand the obsession (believe me, if I were not an endurance athlete, I would be an alcoholic and I do not say that in jest) but the long term is way more important. I'll sacrifice a few years. Not sure what science says about it, but anecdotally I've seen enough to hold back on it a bit.
Testing: I just do whatever the office recommends. I am old so they want to do a lot of tests anyway.
We have been in Sherwin Williams for an hour and 20 minutes. We have an account here for all our house paint. This is where our builder bought the paint for our house when it was built 3 years ago. Why it's taking this long to match f-ing white trim paint is beyond me. I'm ready to lose it.
Finally, at 2pm, I got outside for a walk. I had wanted to do 2-3 miles, but by the time I got outside, the wind and rain were picking up. I did the 1 mile loop around my neighborhood and came back in the house. I love running in the rain, but walking? No thanks. I can't wait for warmer weather!
We told MIL that we are having #2 today, she freaked out (in a good way) and thought we were joking lol. She keeps calling it a Christmas baby. No it's a November baby. I don't plan on being pregnant for an extra 6/7 weeks to make it a Xmas baby, and it's physically impossible lol.
Telling SIL tomorrow as she didn't come down in time today and DH had to go to work.
Been a really busy day today and I'm so looking forward to a nice hot shower and my bed!

My stomach has calmed down this morning. I'm at work eating a vegetable panini and salad, praying to all of the things that I don't regret this choice in the hours to come.

I got out for a good walk to the park w DS this morning and will probably walk to the other park this afternoon. So yay! But DH is out getting us McDonald's for lunch, and ONCE AGAIN there's no shamrock shake available!!!!! This is an ongoing thing this year and I'm so annoyed, especially since my BFP. Where I live, we didn't have shamrock shakes last year. Now (due to massive public outcry I assume) this year they all claim to have shamrock shakes, but every single time I've tried to get one, the "shake machine is down." Wtf.

esgrunner +1 to being old and requiring lots and lots of testing, of all kinds. Although thanks to the newer genetic screening (the quad screen one?), we didn't do the amnio or CVS last time since the quad came back good.

Not sure if this is true in your case, but I am always suspicious now if they tell me that because I had a student that worked at McD's and he told me McD's employees were notorious for saying that because they didn't feel like making a milkshake...

Probably, lol. DH demanded to talk to the manager and was assured that it would be fixed in a few hours. He said he played the pregnant wife craving card. I'm sure they were really impressed. 🙄
I want pizza for dinner so bad. I have a steak and sweet potatoes meal from Hello Fresh that I'm supposed to make, but it doesn't sound appetizing.
I support getting the pizza!
Signed, the girl with a fridge full of produce who just had McDonald's for lunch
OMG. I want to so bad. My eating has been pretty much normal for the last 5 weeks since getting my BFP, but the last two days I've only wanted junk. Not good.
