I'm watching Dave Chappelle's new special on Netflix and I'm dying. I'm so glad he's out of his hiatus!
Omg I need to see this! Comedy Central had a marathon on the chappelle show a couple weeks ago. I was like ok, this is still so funny even when I'm not stoned.
There's two specials and they are both hilarious. I need to rewatch them because customers kept bugging me.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to take that route after our $650 electric bill this month 😩 I keep the thermostat at 68 and it's already freezing! I can't wait for spring.
Hoooooooly shiiiiiiiiite. That sucks.
I know! We are being super cautious about turning lights off and stuff too. We don't even have cable or the internet ATM so we barely have the TV on and hardly any electronics are hooked up. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with our furnace that's making it work extra hard or is that just how much electricity costs in a bigger house? I need to figure something out for next winter.

Yeah I wonder if you can call your electric/gas company or ask a neighbor in a similar house if they don't mind giving input on that -- that seems really high, especially if you're cautious. We've always lived in "small" places (approx 1,000 sq ft) but our energy maxed out at $275 when it was super cold one time.

We have a big house but ours doesn't cost that much (electricity and gas combined) even when we have our minus 50 degree cold month a couple years ago.

That's a good idea. I think our neighbors have the same type of furnace from what I can see. I know something is wrong with ours because it's making a crazy sound. The sound just started a few days ago so up until that point, everything seemed normal with it. If this ends up being normal we are definitely using our fireplace next year!

We went from like a 900 sq foot apartment to a 2400+ sq foot house so I knew we were going to pay more but I didn't realize it would be THAT much more. I think the most we ever paid in our apartment was about $250 so I guess that kind of makes sense.

I'm making a bunch of breakfast sandwiches and quesadillas to freeze for quick meals. Man, it's a lot of work. People who say that batch cooking and freezing is easy are such liars lol.
It does take a lot of work to put them together, BUT, it takes less work than having to do it all every night, and it makes it super quick to just grab during the week =) I need to get back into the habit of doing my suppers up in batches. Maybe that's what I'll do the next 2 days...

This is true haha. I need to get people together so we can all do it at the same time to make it go faster. And then share the loot!

My parents in FL somehow can find out which houses use the most and least power in some kind of neighborhood website, or maybe it comes from the company itself. I can't remember. They prided themselves on being on the low end lol.
I keep our house at 65 perpetually. H hates me but secretly loves what it does for our budget lol.

OMG! That's awful.
Is it an older house? Old windows? That seems crazy high... 😢
lilsneezy my electric company offers a service of free energy audits. Doing it saved us a ton of money and they offer interest free payment plans if they recommend replacing some major appliance. They replaced all of our light bulbs and power strips and sealed all doors and windows. FOR FREE. My electric bill went down to $100 a month from $200 My entire state can do this program. . I don't remember where you are but it's a trending thing maybe your electric company has something like this ?

That sounds like a great idea! My BFF and I were going to do something similar, but our schedules never ended up lining up so we abandoned the idea lol

That's awesome, thanks! Unfortunately I'm in PA but I'm going to see if we have a similar program. I know our electric company offers rebates but I think they're mostly for energy saving appliances, which we don't have. I just sent them an email to see if they could do some kind of assessment or something. They used to have a feature on their website that showed you how much energy you used on heating, lighting, cooking, etc., but I don't see it anymore. Now it just tells me we use the most energy at 3am. So it has to be the heat. I'm really hoping our bill goes down once we get our furnace fixed.

Or maybe that was water...
That sounds like an invasion of privacy, lol.
They've got something similar up here. They don't give out details of who pays what, just that this is what's being paid in so many blocks/sqm/sqkm around you

I really want to plant some herbs in my kitchen so I can have them fresh to use, but I'd need to put it up on the wall, and there's so many ideas on how to do this that I can't pick lol

DS2's car seat is messed up, we've barely had it a year. I have a case open with Graco, but they keep asking for video/pictures of the car seat. Ugh. Just fix/replace it already.
