I was up before my alarm and ready early so I decided to snuggle back into my bed and read for a few minutes. Bad decision because I lost track of time and now I'm running a few minutes late!

Last night I put the girls to bed and then heard B screaming. DD1 had slathered Vaseline all over her, and her room. So I'm tired today, because I was up late trying to clean that disaster.
Not much going on today. I might ditch H and the kids tonight and go to the mall or something, because they are all driving me crazy this week haha.

I got home last night and H said J vomited in his car seat. It sounds more like he was coughing so hard that he gagged himself. So does this mean he has to stay home from DC? We have a ped appt at 1045 since he's been coughing for over a week now. I wish I could take the whole day off, but we are so understaffed right now that it's just not possible, so H will have to take the afternoon off if J can't go to daycare.

musicfrk2002 - I feel like the no vomiting rule is because it's usually viral and contagious. If he vomited once because his cough is bad I wouldn't necessarily keep him home.
I was complaining about PMS bringing me down yesterday but I got sicker in the evening and even moreso overnight. So I must have had a bug or something instead, with horrible cramping timing making it worse. Ugh I mostly just feel dehydrated now today but hoping the worst is over, it seems to come and go.
I went in to say good night to DS last night after passing out at supper and not waking up until their bedtime. He sits with me and says "how are you feeling mom?" Cue the emotions because I'm just bleh "oh, not great DS." He looks at me so sweet and with so much concern and says "maybe you just need to have a big cuddle with daddy" emotions turn into real tears and I have my hands on my face and I see him bend over to see my face, and I think aw what sweet thing is he going to say now? And he says "Go."
Lol! It was like ok I gave you the advice and support but fuck dealing with crying in my bed!😂

T and I are hanging out at home today because he was up all night with a fever (if I could find the thermometer I'd know how high). It's been super busy at the farm, now that the weather has improved slightly. On the plus side, I may actually get some house cleaning done since we're home. Maybe.

I had a couple quiet weeks at work this month, which was nice, but now it's back to being super busy, to the point where I got a text from a co-worker last night telling me to stop working and go to bed.
I've got LBB's kindergarten assessment today after work. I'm sure he'll do fine, but I'm annoyed that they sprang it on us yesterday with no notice. Probably a little BEC because I'm trying to get him out of this school anyway.
I also accepted an offer yesterday for an incredible new job. Like a "too good to be true" kind of situation. I've already had an email from my new boss because he's so excited I accepted.
I have an interview next week for what sounds like an idealist school. It's only 4 days per week, small supportive community, multiple special ed classes, closer to home via a less traffic-laden route. I chatted with the current teacher for about 45 minutes last night to get an idea of his program. He's been at the school for over 20 years so I'd be following a legacy teacher. I guess my revamped resume did some good. Now to revamp my portfolio! The interview is at a job fair so I'll be stopping by a couple other schools I might be interested in and dropping off my resume with a cover letter.
I submitted a photo I took of the kids playing in the puddles (I posted it to HDBD this week) to a news station in Saskatoon earlier this week and its today's photo in their "Your Saskatchewan" segment! Crazy timing, because it would have been my grandpa's birthday today. (The same grandpa who's funeral was the same day as L's 20 week scan and first big ultrasound that wasn't just looking at the placement of the bean-I've always had a feeling they had a special connection!)

That's what I was thinking. He's at DC now. I guess he hardly touched his lunch after hardly touching his breakfast 2 days in a row now. He has an ear infection and a bad cold, but his lungs sound clear. He's been pretty healthy, with this being his 2nd ear infection and only a handful of colds, so it throws me off just a bit when he is more off than normal.
I am so overwhelmed at work right now. This is the busy time of year where state testing, IEPs, and report cards/progress reports converge. I am flooded with paperwork and struggling to balance everything at work and at home. We have spring break in a few weeks and everything should be over and submitted by then, so I just need to try to keep my head above water until then.
+1 to hanging in there. I hope your allotted slightly more paperwork time given all of the deadlines that are due. And, I'm willing to bet so many of your kids made great progress at this point from the start of the school year. I miss working directly with the kids, now I get to sample and review volumes upon volumes of student records, and write about their efficiency and compliance. It's a political mindfuck. Anyhow, good luck!

Joolschweetsalayne926 We washed it twice with dish soap and it was still super greasy today. Sprinkled it with baby powder today followed by more washes in the tub, and it's better... But still super oily. Never will I ever leave Vaseline in reach again.

I'm so sorry. That sounds like a big mess. I heard cornstarch works to pat it out without water. then rinsing with warm water. Then following with dish soap.
