I had a sleepy morning. It's my 2nd of 3 days off. I think the blizzard we were getting is over, so I might just decide to venture out to the dollar store and see what I can get for my herb wall project :-)
ETA brr! Just checked the weather and that's a big ol nope! Guess it can wait
I had to take my dog to the vet this morning for his checkup. He hates going to the vet...so I got to deal with that, along with DD throwing a fit because she wanted to hold his leash by herself. At least it's almost Friday?

Man, American healthcare is so strange. Vision isn't covered at all by my work benefits, so I just found a groupon for an eye exam for $29 and then used a promo code to take off $6 more 😂 you gotta do what you gotta do I guess!
I found Warby Parker glasses that I really want already.

We've been looking for an orange armchair for our living room for ages and never wanted to spend actual money on it because it's not a necessity, and H just found one on Letgo that he negotiated down from $60 to $40! Woohoo!
ohinvrtedworld eye exams are covered at my work but not glasses or contacts. H got a vision plan through his work that will cover a lot of the cost of the glasses and contacts. I think we can get new glasses every other year and contacts every year and have most of it covered. I'm fine with that-we had gone almost 4 and 7 years without getting new glasses before (didn't realize H has been that long!) and now are at a little over 2 1/2 and would like to get new ones this year sometime.

I'm ticked because I liked my glasses just fine, but they just up and broke one day! I didn't drop them or sit on them or anything. Alas, they were free from coa.stal.com back in the days of them doing that promotion, so I can't complain that much I guess haha. I haven't paid for a pair of glasses yet in my life so it's probably about time.
I keep getting free contact lens samples from MIL because she works at a glasses store. I guess we make do ok despite having the worst insurance ever.
ohinvrtedworld, That's odd...I never would have thought of looking for a groupon for an eye exam. I've been getting my glasses from Zenni. I'd much rather pay $20 for a pair of glasses than the $500 that my eye dr sells.

I wouldn't have either haha! I was googling which places had the cheapest exams, since I already want to buy a certain pair of glasses and just need the updated prescription. Groupon came up first and they had their coupon code at the top of the screen, so I said why not.
It appears there are a lot of dental, chiropractic, and acupuncture ones too. Hmm.

Yes to the bolded. DD has recently started doing this. We have a small dog, but he could still pull and knock her down, rip the leash out of her hands, etc. if we let her hold the leash by herself. Our walks begin with a fit and tears now. The fit is short lived, thankfully. She'll get distracted by flowers/rocks/whatever else pretty quickly.
mflowers929 - A herb wall project sounds fun! I always see those kinds of things on Pintrest, but I've never had much luck with keeping plants alive. Do you have an inspiration pic of the one you're doing?
I'm excited that today is my "Friday" this week and so far it has not been too busy. I took tomorrow off for a small trip with H, DD, and my parents which should be a lot of fun. And H should be home soon since he took a half day. We are going to binge a bit of GoT before heading out since the little will be napping.
smores, What season are you on? I'm a little sad that the new season isn't starting next month.
I'm only in about the middle of season 3. We started watching it a couple months ago, so we are really behind the times, haha. The new season starts later this year right? I think someone said October? I'm hoping to be caught up by then.
It's my DD's spring break and she's been at her dad's. She's coming home tomorrow and I'm really excited! I've enjoyed my free time but when she's gone I miss her like crazy.
It's also 6 1/2 weeks until my wedding and FI has started counting the days -- literally! We both discussed last night just taking a day off and going to the courthouse and just "renewing our vows" when the actual wedding day comes.
My vacation days also renew in a week and a half and I'm so glad. I need a day off.

smores , I only have a tiny space where I want to put it, beside the window and on the side of my cupboard, so these were the two I had in mind. I guess it's more of a hanging herb project lol. It will really depend on what I can find for not too much
I used to kill everything, but since I found that I can keep African violets alive, it's given me a lot of confidence in my growing abilities lol

Cool, I hope you are enjoying it. It is one of my favorite shows. I think the new season comes out in July.
mflowers929 those are great! I figured you didn't mean a literal wall, haha. I might actually want to try that shower caddy one! It looks easy enough to clean up a month or so later when (despite what will surely be my best effort) I have killed all the plants, lol.
@auri - I am enjoying it a lot! Although, I truly wish they didn't make EVERYTHING so graphic! Death, sex, torture, etc., etc. I mean it's HBO and I don't live under a rock, so I knew what I was getting into. I still have to look away during some of the more graphic/torturous scenes!

It's 12:30am and both boys just woke up with their fevers spiking. More Tylenol and Enfalyte... so far I'm still feeling fine, as long as I can hold out until the weekend when H will be home to help, I'll be okay. I'm really hoping I don't get it at all but that seems unlikely as I have been taking care of three sick, clingy males all week.
