All the sorries JoBub. I can't believe they make you sit through it again. Too bad you can't say "just give me the damn finger pricker machine. I got this."
becole not looking forward to all the pumping. I'm hoping I like the spectra more than the medela pisa
I'm sure they're similar. The Pisa is so much better than my Ameda for sure. Also having the smaller flanges and turning the pump suction up higher have been game changers for me.
I think I've mentioned it before but I also think the milk makers cookies are legit and worth it. I don't eat them every day just when I seem to be in a slump.

Can you share the brand? I only have one boob that was my milk maker last time so I'm willing to try anything

That's the brand, lol. It's called Milk Makers- I eat the oatmeal chocolate chip. Blue cocoon and target have them for the same price.

I'm really worried the pile of shit the GOP is calling a healthcare bill will pass the House today. I am so, so disappointed in how spineless these GOPers are. Where do they draw the line?
I'm in a place right now where I want to continue to consume all the information and fight the good fight, and just turn it off because it's one piece of depressing news after another and I can't take it anymore.

Ugh, milk makers. I can't tell you how disappointed i was when I learned that it existed. I thought I had an invention/new business idea! Don't even get me started with baby brezza, aka formula keurig.

It's so depressing. I just don't understand how they can't just ask themselves: is this plan better than the ACA? Is this the right thing to do? I saw a headline where Trump/Ryan were trying to persuade GOPers to vote for the bill with the threat of what could happen in the next election. Politicians don't trust that voters are smart enough to know whether they are better off under the proposed plan--they just said they were going to repeal and are afraid of eating crow if they don't.
You know what intelligent bipartisan people do? They would keep the parts of the ACA that work and get rid of the stuff that doesn't. This is similar to what the actually proposed. But then you have assholes that are only self interested in getting money from lobbyists or their rich constituents and instead they make deals and cut the good parts and leave it with a mess. Which is actually what happened to ACA as well. What we were left with was not what Obama proposed or even wanted. It was a hack job of the original. Much like what is happening right now. It's like the story of the two "mothers" who argue over the baby and are willing to cut the baby in half to share it, even when it will mean neither gets what they actually wanted. Except in that story- the real mother gives up the baby for the baby's sake so it doesn't get cut in half. What we're working with is both people don't care about the baby so they're willing to cut it in half and each get a non workable half.
I read something today that Trump threatened if it doesn't pass today, he's moving on from healthcare reform. Like take it or leave it, but this is your only chance. What a piece of shit. I hope that scare tactic doesn't work. And then I hope it doesn't pass and he actually follows through on this promise.
Beetus education only lasted 2 hours, when they said it would be 3. Probably because there were only 3 people there. So I probably could have gone back to work, but my sub is already planning on all day, and we're on a modified schedule today so I would only go back for one class and then a pep rally, so I'm going to get a pedicure and run some errands instead. I hope this rain holds off!

I keep meaning to make lactation cookie/muffins. Have you looked into making your own? I've been adding brewers yeast and flaxseed to my oatmeal in the morning. I will be interested to see what my pumping output will be since I start next week.

I made my own after DS was born. It was not any more complicated than normal chocolate chip cookies, and they stayed soft/fresh for a long time. And they were delicious. I don't know how well they worked. Because I just ate them all the time, so I never had a chance to see a difference if I didn't.

I've got all the ingredients. Recipe I found just used those Betty Crocker muffin mixes. I just got out all the stuff to make them now!
I get it, I'm the laziest there is lol. The recipe I've got looks super easy tho. Just add water or milk to the Betty Crocker mix and then brewers yeast, flaxseed and quick oats.

If I had those ingredients I would do it. Where did you buy them?

Just went to Pet Smart to get a crate for Josie bc I'm sick of cleaning up puke every time I come home. It was $115, on sale for $95. I went up to the front to find someone to help my pregnant self lift it, and the cashier called someone and then whispers "check the online price. We'll price match our own website." And holy shit, it was only $40 online. And then he sold me a coupon book because he knew there were two coupons that I could use right away that add up to more than the book cost. So I saved another $7 that way. I wanted to hug him.
So someone is going to need to explain this health care bill stuff like I'm a 5 year old. Is there some kind of benefit (for DJT) to pulling the bill before the vote happens? Is it safe to be happy about this?
