1. How was your week? Wins/fails?
2. What's the plan for next week?
3. Any goals as we get into warmer weather and closer to (gasp!) swim suit season? A few of you had expressed interest in a dietbet- anyone want to explore that?
1. Big wins: Learning that getting fluid drained off knee and cortisone shot are very effective short-term fixes for my knee! Completing a half marathon I thought wasn't possible just a week ago.
Fails: I just am no-good-very-bad at any kind of diet/meal-planning. Removed gluten from my diet for 4 or 5 days to see if it helped with knee and once swelling started, just completely jumped back into eating everything. Obviously 4-5 days is not long enough to see any effects.
2. Going to attempt to map out meals/snacks for the week this afternoon and STICK TO IT ALL WEEK.
Since it's warmer and my knee should be good for at least 10 days (hopefully longer this time since I got the shot), I have less excuses for not working out and hope to get in at least 3 runs and a couple other workouts.
3. Trying to buckle down again and lose some weight as it gets warmer so I can fit into my spring/summer clothes and feel comfortable. My optimistic theory that I might finally drop some weight after weaning has been proven false. Have actually put on a few more pounds.
I would like to do a dietbet, but I would prefer that if there were several here interested that we join the same bigger one rather than make a small one of our own. Then, we could encourage each other to win, but hope the other people we don't know are not winning so our payout will be bigger. : ) Is that mean?
1. After an initial weigh in a week ago, I went up 2.5 pounds. I ended up losing 3 over the last week! Gotta keep that momentum going. I did indulge a bit Friday night with two slices of pizza with my cheer girls and I had Starbucks yesterday, only a tall though.
2. Keep strong with my diet and go for more walks. This week is first round of state testing (cue panic) so I'll be walking around my room all day staring at the walls and making sure kids don't cheat. I will need fresh air.
3. I just want to keep up the good eating habits and exercise more. Maybe dance parties with my boys when we're stuck at home is a good place to start!
I'm currently in two DietBets but have no problem joining another. They keep me motivated for sure.
1. Not great. I only got in yoga once and one long walk. I've been eating less and snacking less but had way too much junk this week.
2. I really need to exercise at least 4x. And a few walks if the rain clears long enough. As far as eating I need to be strict this week. No soda, one dessert, and keep portions under control.
3. I really need to get my stomach area under control. I am so self conscious about how soft and pudgy I look. I'd be interested in a dietbet. Not the transformer one because I couldn't lose that much.
1. Beginning of the week was mostly getting my back issue under control. But I ran 2 miles on Saturday and barre yesterday. My back pain has really lit a fire under me to get back to working out.
2. I have a lot going on during the week, so goal is to eat as healthy as possible and make it to barre one day next weekend.
3. Goal is to get stomach area a little less fluffy and find a swimsuit that makes me feel good. But we also don't have a pool to go to, so it's a rare occasion to find myself in a swimsuit.
1. How was your week? Wins/fails? Week was pretty good. Worked out 5 of 7 days. I may have splurged on one too many desserts a few nights though. Meh.
2. What's the plan for next week? Samesies. I just really want the weather to turn so we can get some evening walks in before dinner.
3. Any goals as we get into warmer weather and closer to (gasp!) swim suit season? A few of you had expressed interest in a dietbet- anyone want to explore that? Stop eating all the desserts.
1. How was your week? Wins/fails? Win: Stayed active by running and walking. Fail: Nutrition has fallen off track since the Whole Life Challenge ended a few weeks ago.
2. What's the plan for next week? Continue training for my 5k next month. Pack lunch and avoid eating out during the week.
3. Any goals as we get into warmer weather and closer to (gasp!) swim suit season? A few of you had expressed interest in a dietbet- anyone want to explore that We just booked our summer vacation to FL so instant motivation to get serious about my weight loss. I do not want to be embarrassed on the beach like I was last year.
I can't say enough good things about the Whole Life Challenge. I lost 4 lbs and it helped change my mindset about diet and exercise. The next one starts in May. I will post some more info in the thread I made a few months ago if anyone is still interested!
forevermorgan, mnj05, ashiscute, @wafflesfriendswork, and anybody else who might be interested, I went ahead and joined a dietbet today because I need some accountability ASAP.
I just like to jump into bigger games where I don't know people so I don't feel bad for cheering against them so I can win their money. : ) But if y'all join, we can cheer for each other.
cincymama, I'm definitely interested for the next whole life challenge!
Thanks ncjulia12 but that's a little pricey for me.
cincymama I'm def up for the next whole life challenge.
Yeah, $35 is my upper limit for dietbets, but I had some credits from my last win, and *hopefully* won't have too hard a time losing my 4% since I'm able to work out more now...so hopefully that $ will be coming back to me in 4 weeks!
