Welcome to Monday folks. Hope today is the start of a wonderful week for you.
My is on vacation this week but she will be "working" from the beach. :eyeroll: but it should mostly be a quiet week until she starts rapid fire emails.

No part of our weekend was relaxing and I need another day. That isn't in the cards, though. At least we all slept great last night. DH slept in the guest room since he's been sick and I washed all our bedding yesterday. Clean sheets + king sized bed to myself = great nights sleep for me.
I get to break in the new (to us) van today!! Woot woot
@justinslovo My dog has been doing that too. It drives me crazy. I really wish we had crate trained him to sleep far, far away from us instead of being sprawled out on top of me when he hacks in the middle of the night.
I have a busy week, starting with dinner with a good friend tonight at a (hopefully) amazing restaurant. Yay for friend dates!

We are going to the children's museum with my mil today. They have a new circus exhibit and a chocolate slide.
Sounds like a fun day! Tell me more about this chocolate slide...
Still want to make it out there one of these days.
In the winter they have a santa slide and in the spring they have a chocolate slide. They turn the main staircase into a slide. It is always so much fun for the kids.
Had a pretty productive weekend. Lots and lots of laundry and I am actually caught up for the moment! That doesn't happen often. The weather was beautiful on Saturday so we went to the park and I wore both kids out. We played football, baseball, soccer and on the playground. One of the few times that we ended a day where the kids were more exhausted than I was!
My sister is due any day and I'm anxiously awaiting some news.
I carried A up 4 flights of stairs yesterday and now my legs are SO sore and feel like jello. Hello out of shape! I also think I have an unrelated stress fracture on my foot but dont want to go through the process of getting it checked out because I have no time to take off work. Woe is me.
Unrelated again, my mom and bff love sending me old pics that pop up in their FB newsfeeds and saying how "tiny" and hot I used to look. That was unrealistic wedding weight. Why would you say that to a person who has obviously gained a ton of weight since?? It's asinine. Im so bitter and upset about it and about to go off on my mom. "I was at my skinniest after your brother!" GFY mom.
Can you feel my bitterness this morning? Today can suck a dick.

cincymama - there are some great hotel deals there too. I got a postcard a week or so ago and for $200 you can get a one night stay at a Holiday Inn, 4 tickets to the museum and 4 tickets to the Indy Zoo. Their zoo is much smaller than ours but nice and super clean.
I think we are going to go for be weekend the next time DH is off both Saturday and Sunday.
DH filed for his citizenship in spring of last year. He just got a letter asking him to come in and take the test on April 24th, the day before S's birthday. We are excited, but he is nervous. If he passes, we will be going to Jamaica in the summer.

rach I am so sorry for your loss rayann687 that's fantastic news! Good luck on the test
I ended up having a much better time at our friend's wedding than I thought. It was a Greek-Indian wedding and we danced to amazing music. There was a woman there who is friend's with a good friend of ours and she was the talk of the whole night- she wasn't wearing any clothes which is the best way to describe it.

lonegalathome - Yes it was a generic deal. Here's a link: www.genhotels.com/FamilyFun/FamilyFun.html We did this deal just after Noah was born and stayed at the holiday inn since it wasn't downtown (free parking) and it included breakfast. And it's closer to Greenwood so there are a bunch of restaurants and shopping nearby.
I need to get R out of our bed, you guys. Aside from the fact that there isn't room for 2 large adults, 1 large toddler, and 2 dogs that are small in the day but sometimes become large in the night in our Queen bed, I just need him sleeping on his own. I can also never get stuff done in my bedroom with him always in it.
I don't even have time to research sleep training, and I have no idea what his problem with the crib is, so I don't know how to solve it.
This Monday morning breakdown brought to you by soreness in my entire body from sleeping in a tiny corner all night and R falling off the bed this morning while I was trying to get ready.

It's been one week - and we have stayed and are officially paci free!!!! It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be and he is no longer asking for it.
I actually hid them in a cabinet. DS2 came over to me on Wednesday and said "hey mom I found some pacis in a cabinet so I threw them away for you." After that there was no going back!

Vent ahead:
I hate going to my MIL's house. It's an hour away and is a toddler death trap. Actual time spent with MIL is lovely, but there are small breakable things everywhere and no way to child proof at all. My husband is almost always busy while we're there, so I spend the entire visit chasing Elena, telling her no, trying to keep her from eating anything or breaking anything.
I've told my husband many times how much I hate going out there because of this. He always says he'll help but he can't really do that when he's fixing her roof or mowing, ya know?
Now he's volunteered to help move some stuff out there Wednesday and is giving me the same line. Moving stuff won't take very long! Teenage cousin will be there to help! Blah blah blah. No. It is the worst. I do not want to go and I hate that he continues to try to convince me it's fine or will be fine. It is not fine.
yl haven't you mentioned that your bed is warmed? Warm that crib! Does his crib mattress suck? They make nice foam ones.
Mostly are you ready for some tears? Because he'll most likely object to the change no matter how you do it, but it sounds like it needs to happen.
I have spring break coming up next week, so I think this is the time, but I am dreading it. I can actually handle the tears but MH can NOT, which is why we are in this situation in the first place.

Now I'm off to google foam crib mattresses...
We have a mattress cover over Nick's to protect it from any accidents, and it's amazing how much more comfortable that alone makes the mattress!
