Anyone have a good headache remedy? My go-to excedrin migraine is not an option, and my pregnant-lady version (tylenol washed down with coffee) hasn't touched it. I also spent a while with a hot pack on my face, but that's not a viable option once the toddler is awake. Oh, and yes, I am drinking all the water. Halp!
Peppermint essential oil has been my go to for headaches lately. I try just sniffing the bottle and if that doesn't help then I mix it with some olive oil and slather it all over my temples and forehead. Pretty much instant relief.
I keep forgetting about this because I've mostly avoided peppermint for the past year and a half due to BFing.

Is anyone else here still nursing a LO?
use lavender and frankincense instead.
Personally, my migraine blend is not bf friendly, but so effective. Equal parts undiluted
Deep blue blend Frank Peppermint Lavender
It is soooooo fantastic. That, 4 ibuprofen, a bag of frozen peas, ceiling fan on high, and my bed.
This exhaustion can disappear any day now. Last week I seemed to be turning a corner but this week I'm useless by the time I get off work. 😴😴😴
i keep havin random good days and I do tons in the morning. And then by 1...I'm dead on my feet and the next day too. I have to learn some moderation. But I got shtuff to do!!

I am still nursing my 18 month old and haven't noticed any supply issues using peppermint (that's the only concern). lavender & frank are good options too though - I haven't tried the though because peppermint always works.

Yeah, I'm sure it wouldn't affect me by now, but I was so worried about supply early on....
Have you noticed any BF issues since you found out about this pregnancy? I started getting super tender about a week ago, especially on the left. I noticed DS's latch seemed different on the left and I tried to hand express after he was done and got just a dot of milk to come out. Right side seems ok...? I've heard supply decreases during pregnancy so I'm wondering if this is due to that or just slowly drying up. I only nurse him at bedtime. I stopped offering in the morning about two months ago and he's never asked, so we've been down to once/day since late January. He's 20 months.
I'm negative for Zika! The nurse who just called took a while to say negative, so I started to panic for a moment there. Phew.
I totally missed what happened, but why did you get tested? We're on vacation in Sarasota, FL area and I got bit by a stupid mosquito despite me being hyper vigilant about avoiding bites. That coupled with my youngest waking up with conjunctivitis and I'm freaking out and debating whether or not it's rational to message my OB and ask to be tested.

I was on a cruise to the southern Caribbean in late January/early February. I didn't see any mosquitoes, but we wanted to make sure.
I wouldn't worry about FL (maybe because I'm in coastal SC), but you can always ask what your OB thinks.

CoachTsWife, I am still breastfeeding my 20m old and things are not great. It has been painful for me for several weeks. He nurses before and after naptime, then all through the night (cosleeping). Definitely less supply, which is leading to occasional bites from DS in frustration at the low supply. I wasn't ready to be done BFing before getting pregnant, but now it is a struggle for me.

LT for support. I'm starting to dread it a bit, especially on the left side. I'm not sure what to do....

I mentioned earlier that I'm going on a trip for 4 days. I'm selfishly hoping that trip helps wean DS a bit from his usual night nursing habits. If not we'll probably try some form of sleep training because the cosleeping and nursing all night is just too much for me right now. I need sleep, haha.

Why do they do that!? You'd think they have experience sharing news like that and if it's good, the quicker the better!
This reminds me of a phone call I had with my OB after my 10 week scan.
"Hi, this is X from Dr. Whatever's office. The doctor wanted me to schedule you for a fetal echocardiogram so I'd like to get that set up with you. We just need to look at baby's heart"
"Um, is everything okay?"
"Oh yeah, it's routine for all IUI and IVF pregnancies"

CoachTsWife - Yes my supply has gone wayyyyyyy down since about week 6. My son was nursing 3 times a day when I got pregnant and now he's trying to nurse 6-8 times a day to get more. It's frustrating. I'm torn between wanting to wean and wanting to keep going because it obviously brings him comfort. My nipples have hurt like the hell the last few weeks, which makes nursing even more enjoyable. I nursed my firstborn until he was 2 so I'm trying to make it to that same goal with my 2nd. I didn't nurse while pregnant with my second though. We'd already weaned.

CoachTsWife also still bf'ing. I haven't noticed my supply dropping significantly yet. I am hoping it will, as I would like to wean before October and the toddler has no interest in giving up bf'ing. Nipple pain comes and goes, which also doesn't help. There seems to be a few of us in the same boat. I'd be down for a check-in/support thread if others are interested.
sunshineandbabytoes, I also had Wendy's this past weekend and it was not as great as I remember it once being. I was kicking myself for getting home and realizing I didnt order a frosty to dip my nuggets in. I think that would have made the experience much better haha
Heading to storytime today, and pretty sure I'm gonna stop at Pizza hut on the way home and pick up a personal pan pizza and some bread sticks. Pregnant me has even less willpower than non pregnant me.
Pregnant me has zero willpower whatsoever. When I want something, I want it. Period.
