I got a call this morning saying that if I didn't pay $165 all of my outgoing calls will be sent directly to Bell. I was pretty sure I had paid my bill last week so I checked my bank account and apparently I was wrong. Ah well. At least I know I paid them now. In semi related news, I have to reschedule my next tattoo appointment:( my mom still owes me some money, but until I get a job, I have no wiggle room after car payments.

Boo for Monday. I'm unmotivated to work. DD is on a crib nap strike. She goes down fine at night but we are back to square one for naps. I tried to re-nap train all last week and it failed miserably. She is also still pretty miserable with her molars coming in.
I hope you got some things accomplished as well as some down time this past weekend, dizzycooks!
I'm applying for jobs online. Hopefully something comes through. I'm definitely going to have to go out to some places, but I'd like to get as much done online as possible

Lollipop good luck with the job apps. I hope you get a quick answer! It seems lots of places around here are hiring lately. I got a little down time this weekend. Dh took the kids out for two hours Saturday morning and I finished 4 tasks that were bugging me. I still need down time, but I'll settle for not feeling like my to dos are overwhelming me.
scorpioscuba we are on a crib strike too. She will sleep a little there but it's hard to get her down and it doesn't last long. Otherwise she must be touching me at all times. It is awful. She was doing so much better with sleep up until these f ing molars.

Let me preface this rant by saying I love my mom and she seriously helps me out a ton. Not sure what I'd do without her. So I feel a little shitty for even feeling this way but I need to get it out. There is something she does constantly that drives me effing batty.
She constantly talks about how much she sleeps. She'll tell me how late she slept or how long her naps are (she's retired). Or today she complained because she has been up since 4am (she had to take my great Aunt in for a knee surgery). I have commented in the past about how it is difficult for me to hear her brag about her amazing sleep habits due to the very little sleep I get and how exhausted I am all the time. She apologizes and shuts up. In that moment. Next time I see her she does it all over again. It's seriously getting a bit obnoxious. I've stopped commenting and just ignore her remarks. But it really really bugs me!! 😡

Indoor playground was a hit. We went to one another little farther away because it has a trampoline park and I thought S would enjoy it. He had a blast! He was all over the place playing with kids and basically bouncing off the walls. He asked twice to play arcade games, but didn't melt down when I said no. What I didn't expect was how much M enjoyed it. She spent the first little while in the toddler area, and when she got bored of that just wandered around looking at things. She got really brave towards the end and climbed all over the main play area, and even tried the trampolines for a minute.
Now we're getting H's glasses fixed and then hitting the mall food court for dinner. I may have bribed S to get him to leave the playground without a fight

Man, house hunting in this city can suck a D. It is so no fun.
Houses will come onto the market on Monday, and be pending by Wednesday. There's barely time to go see at house or even think about it. Plus, things are going for $60,000 over asking price and other crazy BS. Blah.
Nothing out there feels like "our home" anyway. But hopefully soon. I'm a Redfin addict these days!
Our landlord is weird. Every time they come over, they ring the doorbell, despite the sign in have up asking people not to because the baby is sleeping. They almost exclusively come right after we've put the kids to bed. And every time it's near a holiday they bring us Ferrero rocher chocolates. This time they brought a case of 48! They always say that the chocolates are for S, but even if I let him have chocolate on any sort of regular basis, he doesn't like those ones lol.

You can send them to me! Or save them and give them to his teacher at the end of the year
dizzycooks they'll get eaten for sure. I love them. It may take awhile though lol.
I'm in pain today. I have no idea what is wrong, but I get this pain in my back/hip that I originally attributed to sciatica, but after looking at the symptoms, it doesn't seem to fit. It hurts like an S.O.B though. I think I'm going to see about going to a chiropractor
Heaven help me I am taking the girls to crayola experience today. Im excited, but it sounds exhausting and their behavior has been questionable lately. It's a bday present and my aunt is going with us and the. We are taking them out to lunch. It's also beautiful out so I think when we get home it's a long walk and playtime at the park to unwind.
I'm back from Brussels! I'm totally fried! But it's great to be back! NellieOleson - sorry about the house deal falling through but it sounded like it just wasn't going to work out. I am sending you all of the good house-hunting vibes!! nikiswimr - I am so excited about your transfer! I have everything crossed for you! I am probably going to get my IUD out in May and we will start TTC# 3 and likely our last kiddo. My ovaries are shaking in excitement! LOL! Lollipop - congrats on getting your van and good luck with your job hunting! And indoor play places are mental health life savers for moms in the cold weather months. crimsonandclover - hope that you are having a blast with your Mom in Rome! scorpioscuba - I need to think about my parenting hill to die on. And I am also irritated about your mom talking about her awesome sleep habits. I would love to get some more sleep - maybe I'll just crash out right here at my desk - all of the managers are out this week...

I just wrote three different posts and had to delete them because they seemed incoherent. I'm tired. Dd2 was up from 3 to almost 5 last night. I think we are having molar issues.
In other news, this girl is 3 today!
*poof!*
Exactly 3 years ago today, I was getting wheeled down to the OR to have a c-section. To say I was freaking out would be an understatement. I can't believe how fast it's all flown by, and how much we have all changed since then.
She's such a kind, funny, creative, and smart person. I feel so lucky to be her mama.
I'm taking her and dd2 out to a 'straunt (her word for restaurant) for pancakes this morning to celebrate.
I am up earlier than usual for a weekend today. I am dressed, makeup on, and about to sit down and make a list of places I want to apply at. I have a hair appointment at 1, and H leaves for game night at 6. That gives me most of the day to get stuff done. I'm probably going to have to stop and get more resumes from my mom.
kelltothekell - today is definitely a milestone day and it's amazing that you made it 15 months with the EBF! You are a rock star! I also had all of the feels when we stopped BF'ing, although that was around when DD was 10 weeks old BUT STILL - I feel you.
Every single manager in my office is out all week at an offsite training and NO ONE IN THE OFFICE WANTS TO TAKE A THREE HOUR BOOZY LUNCH WITH ME! What's wrong with these people? "Sorry, I have to exercise," blah blah blah. Is this even America anymore? I need to transfer to GSA or OPM or some other agency that knows how to have fun!!!
I am exaggerating about the booze and length of lunch - but still!
Happy Birthday to DD1, NellieOleson! She is just so beautiful!
kelltothekell, I started introducing WCM to DD last month and I get how you're feeling. It's not ridiculous in the slightest! I hated it at first, too. It took a few weeks for her to come around to it but now she drinks it in sippy cups and a bottle at nap time. I also stopped pumping at work which is a bit of a relief. We still nurse quite a bit though.
Rome was amazing. Before our trip was over I was already working on my itinerary for my next visit, because there will be one. So incredible. I am an Italian Renaissance art lover, and there is no better place for that than Rome and Florence (The Louvre's It. Ren. wing is great with some awesome pieces, but it doesn't compare to the Vatican!). It was even better than I had hoped, and since I've been building a trip to Rome up in my mind for over 15 years, that's saying a lot!
Well my day turned out to be a mixed bag. I applied for 4 jobs, spent way more time than I intended at my mom's office, dented H's car, got my hair cut, and got home just in time to make supper before H had to leave for game night.

Waving Hi! MIA for ages. I am sorry to have been absent. Besides drive by "likes" I haven't been around! I hope you all are doing well and I promise to come back and play more!

Happy birthday little Oleson! Welcome back 14joa31! I'm glad you and crimsonandclover had nice trips! I get you on the feels kelltothekell. We're down to nursing just two or three times on weekdays and it's kind of sad.
I'm having wine. Watching overly dramatic shows about teenage vampires. Waiting for H to get home. Tomorrow is going to be less than fun. Not quite warm enough to play outside, no school, and not enough money to go anywhere fun in the city. I'm hoping S will help me clean some, and we're going to my mom's house for the evening.

Sounds like my kind of night. I miss Buffy *sobs*
Popping in to say hi
Little dude finally started opening cabinets/kitchen drawers and we ended up installing child safety catch things on them. He came home from daycare and strode right over to open the drawer and the look on his face when he couldn't was quite priceless. Sorry kid. Mom's tired of washing a dozen spatulas and measuring cups everyday, multiples times a day.
scorpioscuba my mom complains about her sleep all the time. So annoying. Considering the 6 broken hours I got last night felt good, I'd appreciate not hearing how you went to bed at 8pm and you're still tired bc you got up at 6:00.
