Hey hey @led! I am taking a personal day. I've been having a hard time so I figure that spending a day cleaning up and making something intricate like homemade lasagna will be good for my brain.

I was able to take a shower this morning without DD getting into anything. I'm going to say this week is already starting out better than last week. Now I have to take her to school for her speech therapy.

Back to the office for me. I was at a training event last Weds-Friday which was a nice break from the office monotony. I had a pretty rough weekend: AF, cramps, and just being generally sad that we weren't KU. Logically, I know it's going to take a while, but I guess part of me hoped that I'd be wrong.
ohinvrtedworld, I hope your day off is productive and restorative. Making something intricate sounds like a wonderful idea, which I might steal if I don't get out of this funk soon.
Working. Again *sigh* Boss lady isn't even here today
It's highly unmotivating when your boss is gone haha
Yup, just bosses 2 kids and her sister (did I ever mention that I work in a family business? Lol) Shit's getting done, just nothing more than is necessary lol
Good morning! I have acupuncture at 1:30 then some running around to do before I come home and clean the house.
I got a message from someone on FB that I don't want to talk to and I'm trying to decide if I should respond or not. It's hard being an adult sometimes.

Meh. I've been in a lot of pain lately so that's not fun, but other than that I'm doing pretty good!
How's your daughter doing?
Really good! She's even started sleeping better the last two or three nights! It's been months since she's had a good night. We opened up the doorway between the living room and kitchen this weekend, so she's been exploring like crazy. She's always been able to, but for some reason, even still, she won't go into the hallway from the living room.

I'm a big fan of ignoring people I don't like. I vote that.

Ugh I hate that. Sometimes ignoring people and being an adult aren't mutually exclusive? Like @led says, I don't feel that bad doing it lol.
My friend the other day was like, "pro tip: you still have your read receipts on for texts! You should turn them off so people don't know you saw the text and didn't answer back right away." I told her I'm petty enough not to worry about it, people can wonder all they want haha.

That's what I'm leaning towards. The last time we spoke, she was a complete bitch to me and deleted me off FB. Now she sent me a message (and a friend request) like nothing ever happened, asking to get tattooed by my husband. So the only reason she's reaching out is because she wants something. I'm slightly worried that if I ignore her she's going to show up at our shop and I'll have to deal with it face to face.

Haha! I like your attitude. I totally read her message and then quickly marked it as unread so she didn't know 😂

Trying to convince H we should get a subscription to Plated 😂 Because the food was good. Too bad he's such a picky eater
Man! I feel like Plated has the most approachable meals, too. Blue Apron is the one that really goes into less American/European cuisines that stress picky eaters out. Good luck!

I have the same problem with MH and Plated. We probably get a box once every 6-7 weeks, if that. It kind of works out because it would be too expensive to do every week lol.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking we could do because the food is great and it would be a nice treat every so often. 🤔

My problem with Blue Apron is how they limit you on choices once you make a selection. Like you have to choose 3 out of 8 meals (or whatever it is) but once you make your first selection, two other meals get taken away. So by the 3rd selection you only have like 1-2 options to choose from. I had a coupon for a free box but there was never a week where we could agree on three meals so I just canceled it.

Yeah, I like that you can skip skip skip until a week with stuff you both like comes up. H's qualm is that the meatless ones aren't "filling" enough 🙄 but the ones that sound good to me are always vegetarian (mushroom ramen, plantain tortas, etc.)

Yes!!! I noticed that, too. Is it the prices of the meats that limits you? I found that to be irritating.

That's why I've never done a trial either! Because once I pick one of the news we want chances are the only other ones we would be interested in will go poof.
