It's supposed to be 65 here today but with rain all day but we need it so I suppose it's a good thing.
I also have my growth scan today! I didn't really have a sitter for DS when I scheduled last week but the stars aligned perfectly and both my mom and H are able to come/keep DS occupied. I'm hoping for at least one 3D picture of DS2's face so I can compare it to DS1's 3D picture. DS1 is a carbon copy of my husband so I'm hoping DS2 looks a little bit like me!
DS2 is the spitting image of DS1 according to our scans. The tech I normally have said it's quite often that the kids initially look like each other then start to take after the parents after birth

Good morning. We're past spring weather and on to summer here in FL. It's supposed to be in the upper 80s for the next few days. Ugh, and so it begins. I woke up feeling grumpy today for no reason so I'm hoping my mood turns around soon. I have my last growth scan with the MFM this afternoon. Then we're taking DD to a sibling class at the hospital tonight. It's only an hour and is for 3-6 year olds so she should like it.

lupincat, I can't wait to see who DS looks like but we'll have to wait until he's born because I missed the window for the 3D u/s. DD was the spitting image of me as a baby and toddler and she still looks a lot like me at 3 but not quite as much.

Good morning!! Spring has been here for awhile, but we are finally getting Spring storms now. I have an appt at my endocrinologist this morning. These are always my least favorite. I'm driving my H's car today since he's getting an oil change for mine. It's an EV though and I didn't charge it so hopefully I have enough range to make it to the appt and back.

Feeling tired and unmotivated. Can someone please tell me why it feels like everything I need is on the ground? Bending over had become quite the chore.
What is everyone's favourite newborn carrier? I had the moby for my first but it is just so much fabric that I hardly used it. I have a beco for when they are a little bigger and I also have a new ring sling that I have never tried out. Has anyone used the k'tan? Love it/ hate it?
heartangelsmama, I've tried Moby and a ring sling with my nephew and felt overwhelmed by the amount of fabric (I'm short). I have the K'tan to try with ours but I've only tried it with a stuffed animal so I can't really say whether I love it or not but it seems like it would work well and is easy to use. I'm also eying the Infantino Mei Tai...

Morning! Definitely a rainy still slightly cold spring here in MA. The UPS driver was sooooo nice yesterday! He came by to deliver our carseat but we weren't home so he left the tag that he tried. I figured he'd be back today but he came back last night and said he didn't want to leave it in the rain!! Sooooo nice!
I'm trying to motivate to do homework right now but have yet to put my phone down lol. Ordered a few cloth diapers on Zulily this morning (a brand I knew was good). So I think we're up to 34 for our newborn stash. ☺️
Acupuncture yesterday was amazing and my pelvis felt great after it but it gets screwed back up so quickly by any position I try to sit in. Boooooo.
In terms of carriers, we got a Moby (for when she's tiny) and an ergobaby (for when I need the back support). DW wants a mei tai. Who knows what we'll like though.
Me: 32, Wife: 38, Together for 5 years, Married for 2 years IUI #1 (8/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Crinone = BFN IUI #2 (9/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Endometrin = BFP!! EDD 5/26/17
It's in the 80s here so spring-ish for Texas. I bought some shorts last week and they are supposed to arrive today. 😀I've been trying to walk for some exercise every day since I got the "you've gained a lot of weight" talk at my last OB appt. and this 80 degree weather seems SO hot! Lol
We're taking an infant safety/CPR class tonight at our hospital. Happy that we're almost done with classes but that means I need to finish up the nursery and getting things ready for this baby lol
We've been so busy the last couple weeks. Today and tomorrow are the first days we have nothing planned and I'm so relieved. I spent the first part of the morning reorganizing C's closet and packing up the clothes that are too small. Now C is being extra whiney so I'm looking forward to nap time.
Our 4D ultrasound is today. I have been AWing that everywhere, but I'm just so excited.
heartangelsmama, we have a k'tan and a lillebaby. I'm considering a ring sling after the babywearing class we went to.
I've been grumpy lately too, and I really have no reason to. I got a new car that I love (Honda CRV), baby is doing well, and we're feeling more prepared. I think it's just the physical pain, and how low she's gotten. Hoping the chiro tomorrow can help.
Add me to the grumpy club. 😞 Especially when DS thought it was a good idea to use my boob to scratch his face and then couldn't understand why I wanted him to stop. Come on son! My list of things to do while the kids are in school feels a million miles long and everything is taking longer than I want it too. Maybe getting that all out will help me feel better.
I have used the moby and k'tan. I did the moby with my son and liked it but it was so much fabric. I got the k'tan with DD and loved it. It is easy to put on and she loved to sleep it it. For both of them I used a ergo after they were around 4 months.
it's spring here today....70something and rainy....It feels humid already....or I'm just a hot mess today.
heartangelsmama, I much preferred the K'Tan to the moby.....I overall prefer a linen ring sling or woven wrap for a newborn. I don't like the pillows needed for most soft structured carriers for the NB stage, but I'm a big kinderpack fan so might get an infant KP....and Tula just came out with an adjustable infant SSC, but I'm not sure how tough they will be to get a hold of once they are released.
I"m team grumpy today. plus my blood sugars for fasting and breakfast were high so I'm extra annoyed. just trying to make it through the rest of the work day.....and then have to take DD1 to ballet class....I just want a nap ;-)

I got a lillebaby but I think I'm going to get a k'tan breeze for when he's a newborn. I had a moby with DD and I hated it because it felt so complicated to get it wrapped correctly. I have never tried a ring sling but they don't really appeal to me for some reason.

Has anyone installed their car seat yet? H wants to install the bases in our cars this weekend but I still feel like it's early (4 weeks). I can't remember when we did it last time.

I haven't but at our newborn care class they recommended installing 4 weeks out, so we'll install when I get to 36 weeks. I'm at the end of May so I'm only 32 weeks right now.
sleepymonkey, nah. I like having both big girls in the middle seats until this one is born and will probably grab the infant seat on the way to the hospital and send DH out in the parking lot to put it in :-)
I'm thinking about booking a prenatal massage with the therapist at my new chiro office....I normally tip for this kind of service, but didn't know if that would be weird in a medical setting....thoughts???
sleepymonkey, we just got ours yesterday and installed it in the car just to see how it fits but then uninstalled it. It wasn't hard to install and I'm not sure when we'll install it for good...
We installed at 35w last time. We'll get around to it soon since I'm there now.. DS1 is (and always has been) on the passenger side so this baby will go on the driver's side, which happens to also be where we both put our work bags...
We need to make a new system to make sure we check the back seat at work when the second seat is there

I don't think it'll be weird.
So, this may be a UO or FFTC, but I don't tip my massage therapist. I see the same one every time I go though..

We are going to install ours around 35-36 weeks so I don't think that's terribly early.
